WIRELESS OPTION
Modero Table Top Touch Panels include a Battery System that eliminates
the power cord. This innovative Battery Base option, exclusively from
AMX, offers the potential freedom and convenience of a truly wireless
experience. Simply plug a suggested wireless network card into the
PCMCIA card slot located under the access door on the Modero base,
add a wireless access point and attach the Battery Base for complete
wireless control.This wireless feature eliminates difficult wiring logistics
and avoids the need to alter fine furniture in both commercial and
residential environments.
The Battery Base comes with a panel interface connector and guide pins
that properly aligns and secures the Touch Panel Base and the Battery
Base. The interface connector also transfers power from the Battery Base,
which houses two NXT-BP rechargeable Lithium-Ion “smart” batteries
directly to the Modero Panel, and communicates battery status back to
the panel. Charging the Lithium- Ion batteries is as easy as installing the
Battery Base and plugging in the Modero. Simply attach a power cord to
the Modero after the Battery Base is attached. The batteries are always
charging, whether the Touch Panel is being used or not.
