KozyBird™ Spa is an outdoor electrical product that requires basic safety
precautions to reduce the risk of electric shock, personal injury, and product
damage. The following precautionary symbols appear throughout this
manual to alert you to important operational and safety information.

Location Tips
Birds need water for drinking and bathing as much as they need food and
shelter. In cold climates, the KozyBird™ Spa provides a reliable source of
water for birds to drink and bathe (clean feathers help birds stay warm) when
natural sources are frozen.
Place the KozyBird™ Spa in a level, semi-open location where it can be easily
viewed, yet away from areas of human activity, such as a house, tool shed,
play area, etc. The location should be several feet from overhanging trees or
limbs from which predators can attack, but close enough to a garden or
shrubbery to provide shelter and place to perch while drying their feathers or
waiting to bathe. The ideal location will also be near a food source, such as a
feeder or fruit-bearing native plants, yet allow enough space so that seed
hulls and dropping won't fall in the bath.

Railing or Post Mounting
Assembly Instructions
The KozyBird™ Spa mounts easily to any of the following: 4" x 4" post,
2" x 4" railing, 2" x 6" railing, or the KozyBird™ Pedestal for the
ultimate in yard decor and functional performance.
Included in K570-01 package:
(1) KozyBird™ Spa basin
(1) KozyBird™ Pedestal
(1) Split grommet
Included in K673-01 package:
( 1) KozyBird™ Spa basin
(1) Universal mounting bracket
(4) 2" threaded thumbscrews
Hardware required by user:
Outdoor-rated, moisture and water resistant (type SJTW or
equivalent), two-conductor power cord.
 WARNING:
THE KOZYBIRD™ MOUNTING BRACKET
IS DESIGNED FOR USE EXCLUSIVELY
WITH THE KOZYBIRD™ SPA
1. Select a suitable level location (see
Location Tip).
2. Measure the distance from the outdoor
120 -volt AC outlet to the placement
location, in order to determine the length
of the power cord needed.
 CAUTION:  WARNING:
USE OF AN OUTDOOR-RATED,
MOISTURE AND WATER RESISTANT
(TYPE SJTW OR EQUIVALENT}, TWO
CONDUCTOR POWER CORD IS
RECOMMENDED
3. Thread the appropriate 4 thumbscrews
part way into the four holes in the
mounting bracket allowing for post or
railing clearance.
4. Place the mounting bracket on the
selected post or railing and nger tighten
the four thumbscrews until snug, making
sure the mounting bracket is level.
 CAUTION:
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN AS DAMAGE TO
THE PRODUCT MAY OCCUR. HAND
TIGHTEN ONLY.
5. Insert the socket end of the power cord
through the opening in the mounting
bracket and thread up through the top,
leaving approximately 12" of slack.
6. Plug the cord into the socket.
 CAUTION:  WARNING:
DO NOT PLUG THE POWER CORD lNTO A
120-VOLT AC OUTLET.
7. Turn the basin right-side up, and thread it
onto the mounting bracket by rotating it
60˚ clockwise to secure it in place.
 CAUTION:
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN AS DAMAGE
TO THE PRODUCT MAY OCCUR.
HAND TIGHTEN ONLY.
8. Fill the basin with approximately 3/4
gallon of tap water.
9. Plug the power cord into the 120-volt AC
outlet.
✓NOTE! The built-in thermostat will
automatically activate the sealed heater to
keep the basin ice-free, then automatically
turn o the heater until further warming is
required.

Cleaning
Birds are drawn to bird baths as a place to drink and bathe, so it's important
to keep your bird bath clean. Weekly cleaning with a brush or clean rag,
along with a bleach and water solution, will help prevent bacteria and
parasites that my harm backyard birds. During hot summer weather, check
daily to ensure that the water level is ample.
To clean your KozyBird™ Spa, simply rotate the basin counterclockwise 60˚
to release it from the mounting bracket or Pedestal, lift and tip the water out.
Reattach the basin to the bracket or Pedestal, and wipe the polymer surface
with a soft cloth. The non-stick surface should easily come clean.
 CAUTION:  WARNING:
DISCONNECT THE POWER CORD FROM THE 120-VOLT
OUTLET BEFORE CLEANING AND REFILLING.
✓ NOTE! For stubborn scale removal, mix 8 oz. of undiluted white vinegar
and 3/4 gal. of fresh water, pour into basin, let soak for 20 minutes and scrub
with a soft bristle brush until clean. Pour the liquid out and ush the basin
thoroughly with clean water before relng. Clean as needed.
✓ NOTE! To disinfect your birdbath, mix 2 tablespoons of bleach and 1
cup of water, pour into basin and scrub with a soft bristle brush until clean.

containing additives that reduce the eects of ultraviolet (UV) exposure, the
color may changes slightly over time due to prolonged exposure to (UV)-rays

Assemble your KozyBird™ Pedestal at the
desired location. (see Location Tip on
reverse side).
1. Measure the distance from the outdoor
120-volt AC outlet and the desired
location. Add on 3 feet to account for the
pedestal to determine the length of
power cord needed.
 CAUTION:  WARNING:

RECOMMENDED
2. Thread the socket end of the power cord
through the bottom of the Pedestal until
there is approximately 12" of slack
emerging from the top. Position the
power cord in the slot located in the
Pedestal's base.
✓ NOTE! For exceptional stability, put
the split grommet on the power cord at the
base of the Pedestal. Slide the grommet
into the opening at the base until is snaps
into place. With the opening covered, you
may now ll the Pedestal with sand or
gravel.*
* We recommend lling the Pedestal
approximately halfway.
 CAUTION:  WARNING:
DO NOT USE WATER TO FILL THE
PEDESTAL.
3. Plug the cord into the socket.
 CAUTION:  WARNING:
DO NOT YET PLUG THE EXTENSION
CORD INTO A 120-VOLT AC OUTLET.
4. Coil any excess slack cord into the
Pedestal.
5. Secure the KozyBird™ Spa to the Pedestal
by rotating it 60˚ clockwise.
 CAUTION:
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN AS DAMAGE
TO THE PRODUCT MAY OCCUR. HAND
TIGHTEN ONLY
6. Fill the basin with approximately 3/4
gallon of tap water.
7. Plug the power cord into a 120-volt AC
outlet.
