1Remove the components from
the box and ensure you have the
following parts:
• Moulded oat set
• red/blue decal sheet
• 2x piano wire spacer bars
• 2x piano wire struts
• 4x strut saddle clamps
• 1x saddle clamp screw set
• 1x water rudder set
• 1x 1.5mm Allen key.
This Quick Start guide is written for the Gamma V2 Float Set.

2Unroll the self-adhesive sticker
sheet and carefully cut around the
edge of the trim stripes that match
your colour scheme. Apply the
stripe to the upper, outer edge of
each oat, starting at the front and
carefully peeling the backing paper
away as you work your way back.
3With the trim stripes correctly
applied each oat will be a handed
mirror image of the other.
4Slot one piano wire spacer bar
into position at the front of each
oat, noting that the bar locates
in the forward slot of the two. The
remaining spacer bar locates in the
front slot of the rear oat mount.

5Slot the piano wire spacer bar into
position at the front of each oat
noting that the strut locates in the
rearward slot behind the spacer
bar. Moving to the back of each
oat, slot the remaining strut into
position noting that it locates in the
rearward slot, behind the spacer
bar. Lock the struts and spacer
bars into position with the saddle
clamps and screws.
6Your oats are now assembled
and ready to be attached to the
fuselage.
7Glue the U-shape water rudder
mount over the base of the rudder
as shown, noting that it must be
located as far forward as possible
with the collet retainer positioned
at the front.
8Slot the rudder shaft into the collet
at the top of the water rudder and
tighten the grub screw to clamp it
in position.
9Slot the other end of the shaft
into the collet on the water rudder
mount and tighten the grub screw
to clamp it in position.

11 Slot the piano wire oat struts
into the mounts on the underside
of the fuselage and clamp them
in place using the four washer
head screws.
When tting the water rudder take
special care to ensure that it’s
perfectly aligned with the primary
air rudder. Adjust as necessary.

12 Your Gamma is now ready for a
swim. For the rst few ights pick
a relatively calm day when steering
and maneuvering for take-off will be
much easier. Always position your
Gamma dead into wind for take-off
and landing. At the start of your
take-off run hold in full up elevator
to raise the nose, then ease the
elevator off (as you would to raise the tail of a conventional tail-dragger)
as the Gamma gains speed and rises onto the step. Finally, gently re-apply
elevator to lift clear of the surface and enjoy ying off water.
