Product Description
The PENTAFLEX®mattress replacement design comprises of a
reversible 4-way turn, high resilience polyurethane core with 5
anatomical pressure redistributing zones per side, protected by a
2-way stretch, vapour permeable, water resistant cover.
A PENTAFLEX foam squab is available for use with in-built bed
extensions, for more details refer to the user leaflet 609903.
Clinical applications
Indications for use
PENTAFLEX 120 is indicated for users up to 120 kg (264 lbs/
19 stones). PENTAFLEX 250 is indicated for users up to 250 kg
(550 lbs/39 stones). Suitable for a wide range of patients including
those with superficial ulcers (in association with an individualised
plan of care).
 These are guidelines only and should not replace clinical
experience or judgement. If there is no improvement in the
patient's condition, specialist advice should be sought.
Instructions for use
1. Remove all packaging.
2. Lay the PENTAFLEX mattress replacement onto the bed
frame, ensuring that there are no sharp edges which may rip
the cover.
3. Ensure that the correct month is showing on the
TURNTABLE™ indicator at the foot end of the mattress. If the
correct month is not showing, rotate or turn the mattress so
that the correct month is at the foot end. Months are indicated
as follows:
1/12 = January 2/12 = February etc.
4. Use the TURNTABLE indicator as a guide for the monthly
rotation and turning of the mattress. This helps to even out
wear of the mattress and to extend the life of the product.
Decontamination
To Clean The Cover
Wipe all exposed surfaces with a cloth which has been moistened
in simple detergent and water. Ensure to remove any organic
debris that may be adherent to the surfaces. Dry.
To Disinfect The Cover
For disinfection we recommend a chlorine-releasing agent such as
NaOCl or NaDCC diluted to 1,000 ppm (range may vary between
250 & 10,000 ppm depending on contamination status and local
policy).
Alternatively use a cloth moistened with alcohol (70%) and allow
to air dry.
Routine checks
The foam core and cover should be inspected regularly for any
signs of damage, soiling or staining.
Disposal
For ultimate disposal of PENTAFLEX products, we recommend
the following advice be followed. However, regardless of this,
please ensure that local regulations and, if applicable, healthcare
facility standard operating procedures are followed.
• Foam cores suspected of contamination should be disposed
of as clinical waste.
• Foam cores not suspected of contamination may be disposed
of through landfill waste.

The cover of this product is vapour permeable but not air
permeable and may present a suffocation risk. It is the
responsibility of the care giver to ensure that the user can use this
product safely.
DO NOT USE THE MATTRESS WITHOUT A COVER
It provides a protective barrier, which helps to extend the life of the

Technical data
PENTAFLEX mattresses are available in other custom made sizes, e.g. 120PMYYY/ZZZ, where YYY specifies the length (between 140
and 216cm) and ZZZ specifies the width (between 66 and 140cm). All sizes must be specified in increments of 2cm.
When combining beds and mattresses outside the table given above, it is the customer’s responsibilty to ensure compatibility of mattress
and bed frame. Please refer to your bed manufacturers recommended mattress sizes. For further details contact Arjo.
Fire retardancy
The PENTAFLEX mattress replacement system meets the requirements of BS EN 597-1: 1995, BS EN 597-2: 1995, and BS
6807: 2006, 5.

Popis výrobku
Náhradní matrace PENTAFLEX®se vyznačuje reverzibilním,
vysoce odolným polyuretanovým jádrem s 5 anatomickými zónami
pro redistribuci tlaku na obou stranách, jež je otočné ve čtyřech
směrech a je chráněno voděodolným, paropropustným potahem s
obousměrným napínáním.
Při použití lůžka s vestavěnou funkcí prodloužení je k dispozici
pěnový nástavec PENTAFLEX, více podrobností naleznete v
uživatelské brožuře 609903.
Klinické použití
Indikace k použití
Matrace PENTAFLEX 120 je indikována pro uživatele do
hmotnosti 120 kg (264 lb/19 st). Matrace PENTAFLEX 250 je
indikována pro uživatele do hmotnosti 250 kg (550 lb/39 st). Je
vhodná pro celou řadu pacientů, včetněosob postižených
povrchovými vředy (v kombinaci s individuálním plánem péče).
 Uvedené informace jsou pouze orientační a neměly by
nahrazovat klinické zkušenosti či úsudek. V případě, že
nedojde ke zlepšení pacientova stavu, je doporučeno
konzultovat specialistu.
Návod k použití
1. Odstraňte veškeré obaly.
2. Náhradní matraci PENTAFLEX položte na rám lůžka a
ujistěte se, že na něm nejsou žádné ostré hrany, které by
mohly protrhnout potah.
3. Zkontrolujte, zda indikátor TURNTABLE™ v nožní části
matrace zobrazuje správný měsíc. Pokud ne, otočte matraci
tak, aby správný měsíc byl v nožní části. Měsíce jsou
zobrazeny následovně:
1/12 = leden 2/12 = únor atd.
4. Indikátor TURNTABLE používejte jako pomůcku pro otáčení
a převracení matrace v měsíčních intervalech. Bude tak
zajištěno rovnoměrné opotřebení matrace a prodloužení její
životnosti.
Dekontaminace
Čištění potahu
Všechny obnažené povrchy otřete hadříkem navlhčeným v
roztoku běžného čisticího prostředku a vody. Dbejte na to, aby
byly odstraněny organické nečistoty, které mohou k povrchu
potahu přilnout. Potah osušte.
Dezinfekce potahu
Pro dezinfekci doporučujeme použít činidlo uvolňující chlór, jako
např. NaOCl nebo NaDCC zředěné na 1 000 ppm (koncentrace se
může pohybovat v rozmezí od 250 ppm do 10 000 ppm v závislosti
na stupni znečištění a na místních postupech).
Alternativněpoužijte hadřík namočený do alkoholu (70%) a nechte
oschnout.
Pravidelné kontroly
Pěnové jádro i potah je nutné pravidelněkontrolovat, zda
nevykazují známky poškození nebo znečištění.
Likvidace
Při likvidaci výrobkůPENTAFLEX doporučujeme postupovat dle
níže uvedených pokynů. Zároveňbyste měli zajistit, aby byly
dodrženy místní předpisy a případné standardní provozní postupy
zdravotnického zařízení, jsou-li zavedeny.
•Pěnové jádro, u něhož existuje podezření na kontaminaci, by
mělo být zlikvidováno jako zdravotnický odpad.
•Neznečištěné pěnové jádro může být zlikvidováno obvyklým
způsobem.

Kliniske anvendelser
Indikationer for brug
PENTAFLEX 120 er indikeret for brugere, der vejer op til 120 kg
(264 lbs/19 stones). PENTAFLEX 250 er indikeret for brugere,
der vejer op til 250 kg (550 lbs/39 stones). Madrassen er egnet til
mange slags patienter, herunder patienter med overfladesår (i
samarbejde med en personlig behandlingsplan).

Brugsanvisning
1. Fjern al emballage.
2. Læg PENTAFLEX-madraserstatningen på sengebunden, og
sørg for, at der ikke er nogen skarpe kanter, der kan skære
hul i betrækket.
3. Sørg for, at den korrekte måned vises på TURNTABLE™-
indikatoren i fodenden af madrassen. Hvis ikke den korrekte
måned vises, skal madrassen roteres eller vendes således, at
den korrekte måned vises i fodenden. Måneder vises som
følger:
1/12 = Januar 2/12 = Februar, osv.
4. Anvend TURNTABLE-indikatoren som vejledning til den
månedlige rotation og vending af madrassen. På denne måde
fordeles madrassens slitage, og produktets levetid forlænges.
Dekontaminering
Rengøring af betrækket
Tør alle udsatte overflader af med en klud, der er fugtet med
almindelig sæbe og vand. Sørg for at fjerne alle organiske
efterladenskaber, der sidder fast på overfladerne. Tør efter.
Desinfektion af betrækket
Til desinfektion anbefales et klorinfrigørende stof, såsom NaOCl
eller NaDCC, fortyndet op til 1.000 ppm (mængden kan variere
mellem 250 og 10.000 ppm alt afhængig af kontamineringsgraden
og lokal praksis).
Alternativt kan der anvendes en klud, der er fugtet med alkohol

Rutinemæssig kontrol
Skumkernen og betrækket bør kontrolleres jævnligt med henblik
på at konstatere tegn på skade, snavs eller pletter.
Bortskaffelse
Ved endelig bortskaffelse af PENTAFLEX-produkter, anbefales
det at følge nedenstående råd. Med forbehold af dette bør det
imidlertid altid sikres, at lokale bestemmelser og
sundhedsinstitutionens eventuelle standardprocedurer
overholdes.
• Skumkerner, der vurderes at være kontaminerede, skal
bortskaffes som klinisk affald.

Das PENTAFLEX®Matratzenersatzdesign umfasst ein
umkehrbares Vier-Wege-Drehsystem mit hochelastischem

Seite, geschützt durch einen dampfdurchlässigen,
wasserabweisenden Doppelstretchbezug.
Für die Verwendung mit eingebauten Bettverlängerungen ist ein
PENTAFLEX-Schaumstoffkissen erhältlich. Weitere Einzelheiten

Klinische Anwendung
Indikationen für die Verwendung
PENTAFLEX 120 ist für Benutzer bis 120 kg geeignet.
PENTAFLEX 250 ist für Benutzer bis 250 kg geeignet. Geeignet
für einen breiten Patientenbereich, unter anderem für Patienten
mit oberflächlichen Geschwüren (in Verbindung mit einem
individuell abgestimmten Pflegeplan).
 Dies sind lediglich Richtlinien und sollen die klinische
Diagnose oder Erfahrung nicht ersetzen. Wenden Sie sich an
einen Spezialisten, wenn der Zustand des Patienten sich nicht
verbessert.
Anwendungshinweise
1. Entfernen Sie jegliches Verpackungsmaterial.
2. Legen Sie den PENTAFLEX Matratzenersatz auf das
Bettgestell und vergewissern Sie sich, dass keine scharfen
Kanten vorhanden sind, die den Bezug aufreißen könnten.
3. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der richtige Monat auf dem
TURNTABLE™-Indikator am Fußende der Matratze
angezeigt wird. Wird nicht der richtige Monat angezeigt,
drehen oder wenden Sie die Matratze, sodass der richtige
Monat am Fußende zu sehen ist. Die Monate werden wie folgt
angezeigt:
1/12 = Januar 2/12 = Februar usw.
4. Verwenden Sie den TURNTABLE-Indikator als Leitfaden für
das monatliche Drehen und Wenden der Matratze. Dies trägt
dazu bei, den Verschleiß der Matratze gleichmäßig zu halten
und die Lebensdauer des Produkts zu verlängern.
Reinigung und Desinfektion
Reinigung des Bezugs
Wischen Sie alle freiliegenden Flächen mit einem Tuch ab, das
Sie zuvor mit einem einfachen Reinigungsmittel und Wasser
befeuchtet haben. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass Sie sämtliche
organische Rückstände entfernen, die unter Umständen an den
Flächen haften. Anschließend trocknen.
Desinfektion des Bezugs
Für die Desinfektion empfehlen wir einen Chlor freisetzenden
Wirkstoff wie NaOCl oder NaDCC, verdünnt auf 1.000 ppm (die

Routineprüfungen
Der Schaumstoffkern und der Bezug sollten regelmäßig auf

Entsorgung
Für die endgültige Entsorgung von PENTAFLEX-Produkten
empfehlen wir, die folgenden Ratschläge zu befolgen. Bitte
vergewissern Sie sich jedoch unabhängig davon, dass örtliche
Vorschriften und, falls anwendbar, Standardverfahren der
jeweiligen Gesundheitsfürsorgeeinrichtung befolgt werden.
• Schaumstoffkerne, bei denen eine Kontamination vermutet
wird, sollten als klinischer Abfall entsorgt werden.
• Schaumstoffkerne, bei denen keine Kontamination vermutet

El diseño de colchón especial PENTAFLEX®consta de un núcleo
de espuma de poliuretano de alta resiliencia reversible con
rotación de cuatro modos con 5 zonas de redistribución de presión
anatómica por lado, protegido por una funda de elasticidad
bidireccional resistente al agua y permeable al vapor.
Hay un cojín de espuma PENTAFLEX disponible para uso con

Indicaciones de uso
PENTAFLEX 120 está indicado para pacientes con un peso
máximo de 120 kg (264 libras/19 stones). PENTAFLEX 250 está
indicado para pacientes con un peso máximo de 250 kg
(550 libras/39 stones). Apropiado para un amplio espectro de
pacientes, incluidos los que padecen úlceras superficiales (junto
con un plan de cuidados individualizado).

Instrucciones de uso
1. Retire el embalaje.
2. Coloque el colchón especial PENTAFLEX sobre el armazón
de la cama, asegurándose de que no haya bordes punzantes
que puedan rasgar la funda.
3. Asegúrese de que aparece el mes correcto en el indicador
TURNTABLE™ situado a los pies del colchón. Si no es así,
dé vuelta o gire el colchón hasta que dicho mes aparezca en
el extremo de los pies. Los meses se indican de la siguiente
manera:
1/12 = Enero 2/12 = Febrero, etc.
4. Utilice el indicador TURNTABLE como guía para la rotación
mensual y el volteo del colchón. Esto ayuda a nivelar el
desgaste del colchón y a prolongar la vida útil del producto.
Descontaminación
Limpieza de la funda
Limpie todas las superficies expuestas con un paño humedecido
en detergente y agua. Asegúrese de eliminar cualquier resto

Desinfección de la funda
Para la desinfección recomendamos un agente que proporcione

sanitarias.

Indications
Le PENTAFLEX 120 est indiqué pour des patients avec un poids

est indiqué pour des patients avec un poids allant jusqu’à 250 kg
(550 lbs / 39 stones). Adapté pour divers types de patients y

un plan de soins individualisé)

Mode d’emploi

3. S’assurer que l'indicateur TURNTABLE™ situé au pied
du matelas indique le mois en cours. Dans le cas contraire,
faites tourner le matelas jusqu'à ce que la date correcte
apparaisse à son pied. Les mois sont indiqués comme
suit :
1/12 = janvier 2/12 = février, etc.

Ou alors, utiliser un chiffon humidifié avec de l’alcool (70%) et
laisser sécher à l'air libre.
Contrôles de routine
La couche centrale en mousse et la housse doivent être
inspectées régulièrement afin de détecter tout signe
d'endommagement, souillure ou tache.
Élimination
Pour l’élimination finale des produits PENTAFLEX, nous vous
recommandons de suivre les conseils suivants. Par ailleurs, il
convient également de toujours vous assurer que la
réglementation locale en vigueur et, le cas échéant, les
procédures de fonctionnement standard des installations de
santé, sont respectées.
• Les couches centrales en mousse présumées contaminées
doivent être éliminées comme des déchets cliniques.
• Les couches centrales en mousse non présumées
contaminées peuvent être éliminées en décharge.

A termék leírása
A PENTAFLEX®pótmatrac egy 4 féle helyzetbe fordítható, olda-
lanként 5 anatómiai nyomáselosztási zónát tartalmazó nagy ellen-
állóképességűpoliuretán magból, valamint egy kétirányban nyúló,
vízálló, páraáteresztővédőhuzatból áll.
Beépített ágyhosszabbításhoz PENTAFLEX habszivacs támla áll
rendelkezésre; további információkkal a 609903. sz. felhasználói
ismertetőszolgál.
Klinikai alkalmazások
Használati javallat
A PENTAFLEX 120 legfeljebb 120 kg testsúlyú felhasználók szá-
mára készült. A PENTAFLEX 250 legfeljebb 250 kg testsúlyú fel-
használók számára készült. Betegek széles köre használhatja,
köztük felszínes fekéllyel rendelkezők is (egyénre szabott kezelési
tervükkel összhangban).
 Az itt közölt információk csupán iránymutatásul szolgálnak,
nem váltható ki velük a klinikai tapasztalat és megítélés. Ha
a beteg állapota nem javul, specialista véleményét kell kikérni.
Használati utasítás
1. Távolítsa el az összes csomagolóanyagot.
2. Fektesse a PENTAFLEX pótmatracot az ágykeretre – győ-
ződjön meg róla, hogy az ágykereten nincs olyan éles, kiálló
rész, ami kárt tehet a védőhuzatban.
3. E
llenőrizze, hogy a TURNTABLE ™ jelzőlap a matrac lábvégén
a megfelelőhónapot mutatja-e. Ha nem a megfelelőhónap lát-
ható rajta, akkor fordítsa a matracot olyan helyzetbe, hogy
am
egfelelőhónap legyen a lábvégen. A hónapok jelzése
a következő:
1/12 = január 2/12 = február stb.
4. A TURNTABLE jelzőlap segítségül szolgál a matrac havon-
kénti megfordításához. Ezzel egyenletessé tehetőa matrac
kopása, és meghosszabbítható a termék élettartama.
Dekontaminálás
A huzat tisztítása
Törölje meg a szabad felületeket egyszerűtisztítószerrel és vízzel
benedvesített ruhával. Ügyeljen rá, hogy hiánytalanul eltávolítsa
a felületre tapadt szerves maradványokat. Törölje szárazra a felü-
letet.
A védőhuzat fertőtlenítése
A fertőtlenítéshez klórt felszabadító szer, például nátrium-hipoklo-
rit vagy nátrium-diklórizocianurát 1000 ppm-es oldatát javasoljuk
(a tartomány a szennyeződés állapotától és a helyi előírásoktól
függően 250–10 000 ppm lehet).
Másik megoldásként alkohollal (70%) nedvesített ruha is használ-
ható; ebben az esetben hagyja megszáradni a felületet.
Rutinellenőrzések
Rendszeresen ellenőrizze, hogy nem észlelhető-e a habszivacs
magon és a védőhuzaton sérülés, szennyeződés vagy foltosodás.
Leselejtezés
APENTAFLEX termékek végsőleselejtezéséhez javasoljuk az
alábbiak szem előtt tartását. Ettől függetlenül gondoskodjon a he-
lyi előírások, valamint adott esetben az egészségügyi intézmény
szabványos működési előírásainak betartásáról.
• Ha felmerül a gyanú, hogy a habszivacs mag szennyeződött,
akkor azt kórházi hulladékként kell kezelni.
•
Ha nem merül fel a habszivacs mag szennyezettségére vonat-
kozó gyanú, akkor az elhelyezhetőa hulladéklerakóban.

A PENTAFLEX matracok egyéb, egyedi méretekben is rendelhetők, pl. 120PMYYY/ZZZ, ahol az YYY a hosszúságot (140–216 cm), a ZZZ
pedig a szél ességet (66–140 cm) jelenti. A méretek 2 cm-es lépésekben adhatók meg.
A fenti táblázatban nem szereplőágyak és matracok kombinálásakor az ügyfél felelőssége a matrac és az ágykeret kompatibilitásának

TŰZZEL KAPCSOLATOS FIGYELMEZTETÉS
A cigaretta, az öngyújtó, a nyílt láng és a szabad fűtőelemek, pl. elektromos kandallóban (és egyéb elektromos készülékekben) tűzveszély
forrását jelentik. Lángra lobbanthatják az ágyneműt, a takarót és a ruházatot. Az ilyen tűzforrásokat feltétlenül távol kell tartani a matractól.
FONTOS: Az ágyban dohányozni rendkívül veszélyes.
Ajánlott mosási hőmérséklet:
15 perc 60 °C-on.

Il materasso sostitutivo PENTAFLEX®è posizionabile su 4
posizioni ed ha un interno in poliuretano ad alta resilienza con 5
zone per la ridistribuzione della pressione anatomica, protetto da
un rivestimento elastico, permeabile al vapore e resistente
all'acqua.
È disponibile un inserto imbottito PENTAFLEX da utilizzare con le
estensioni incorporate del letto, consultare il pieghevole 609903
per ulteriori dettagli.
Applicazioni cliniche
Indicazioni per l'uso
PENTAFLEX 120 è indicato per utenti con peso fino a 120 kg
(264 lbs/19 stone). PENTAFLEX 250 è indicato per utenti con
peso fino a 250 kg (550 lbs/39 stone). Adatto ad un’ampia varietà
di pazienti, inclusi quelli che presentano ulcere superficiali (in
associazione col piano di cura individuale).
 Queste sono soltanto indicazioni e non devono essere usate in
sostituzione dell’esperienza o della valutazione clinica. Se le
condizioni del paziente non mostrano miglioramenti,
interpellare uno specialista.
Istruzioni per l’uso
1. Rimuovere tutti i materiali di imballaggio.
2. Sistemare il materasso sostitutivo PENTAFLEX sulla struttura
del letto, assicurandosi che non ci siano bordi o spigoli
taglienti che possano lacerarne il rivestimento.
3. Assicurarsi che sull’etichetta TURNTABLE™ ai piedi del
materasso sia indicato il mese corrente. Se non trovate il
mese corrente, basterà capovolgere o girare il materasso in
modo che il mese corretto sia sulla parte del materasso dove
si appoggiano i piedi. I mesi sono così indicati:
1/12 = gennaio 2/12 = febbraio, ecc.
4. Usate l’etichetta TURNTABLE come guida per la rotazione
mensile e per il cambio di posizione del materasso. Ciò aiuta
a uniformare l’usura del materasso e a prolungare la vita del
prodotto.
Decontaminazione
Pulizia del rivestimento
Passare un panno inumidito in acqua e detergente su tutte le
superfici esposte. Assicurarsi di eliminare ogni residuo organico
che potrebbe essersi attaccato alle superfici. Asciugare.
Disinfezione del rivestimento
Per la disinfezione consigliamo l’utilizzo di un agente clorante
come NaOCl o NaDCC diluito a 1000 ppm (la differenza può
variare fra 250 e 10000 ppm in base allo stato di contaminazione
e le normative locali).
In alternativa utilizzate un panno inumidito con alcol (70%) e
lasciar asciugare all’aria.
Controlli di routine
L’interno in schiuma e il rivestimento devono essere controllati
regolarmente onde individuare qualsiasi segno di
danneggiamento, sporco o macchie.
Smaltimento
Per smaltire i prodotti PENTAFLEX , raccomandiamo di attenersi
ai consigli seguenti. Tuttavia, oltre ad essi, assicuratevi che
vengano rispettate le norme locali e, se applicabili, le procedure
standard per le strutture sanitarie.
• Gli interni in schiuma che si sospetta siano contaminati
devono essere smaltiti come rifiuti clinici.
• Gli interni in schiuma che non si sospetta siano contaminati
devono essere smaltiti come rifiuti da depositare in discarica.

da 2 cm.
