result in equipment failure or damage.
WARNINGS
•Always ensure that the table is correctly
positioned and adjusted to allow it to be used
safely and comfortably.
•Do not lean or sit on the table.
•Do not exceed the Safe Working Load of 25Kg
evenly distributed.
•Do not place hot utensils, dishes, bowls, cups, etc.
directly on to the table surface. Maximum heat
resistance 60° C or 140° F.

•Take care when moving the table over rough or
uneven surfaces. Lift the table over large ridges
and wide gaps.
1. Introduction
The Prioma overbed / overchair tables provide users with a
firm, flat surface that is suitable for eating, writing, reading,
etc. The single column construction and adjustable height
makes them suitable for use with most types of beds and
chairs.
There are a wide range of options and top finishes within the
Prioma table range and so this User Manual is dedicated to the
functions and features of the base model tables:-
•One piece fixed top table
•Two piece top with an adjustable tilt angle section
Both models have the following features:-
•Wipe-clean top with raised moulded edges
•Base design allows the table to be used over bed or chair
•Mechanical movement height adjustment
•Castors for ease of mobility

2. Operation
Height
Adjustment
To Lower The Table Height
Lift the height adjustment lever (A) and
push the table top downward.
To Raise The Table Height
The Prioma table requires no release to
raise. As well as this being simple to use it
also acts a safety mechanism against
accidental adjustment of electrically
operated beds. Simply pull up the table top
to raise.

Tilt Section
Adjustment
The tilt angle section of the table may be
adjusted to one of five angle positions:
24°, 31°, 37°, 42° and 47°
To Increase The Angle:
Hold the edge of the table as shown (B).
Lift the table until the ratchet (C) engages
at the required position.
To Reduce The Angle:
Hold the edge of the table as shown (B).
Lift the table as far as it will go, then lower
back to the flat position.

WARNING
•Take care not to trap fingers between the fixed
and movable parts of the table.
3. Cleaning
Cleaning
Wearing suitable protective clothing, clean
all surfaces with a disposable cloth soaked
in neutral detergent and hot water.
Start by cleaning the upper sections of the
table and work along all horizontal
surfaces. Work methodically towards the
lower sections of the table and clean the
castors last. Take extra care to clean areas
that may trap dust or dirt.
Rinse with clean water and dry with
disposable paper towels.

Disinfecting
After cleaning the table as described above,
wipe all surfaces with sodium hypochlorite
(NaCIO) at a dilution of 1 part, bleach to
100 parts (1%) cold tap water.
In the case of pooling body fluids, e.g.
blood, the concentration of NaCIO should
be increased to 2 parts per 100 parts (2%).
WARNINGS
•Avoid excessive wetting of the product,
particularly the table top.
•Do not use abrasive compounds or pads.
•Do not use phenol-based disinfectants.
•Do not use excessively hot water. The table top
has a maximum heat resistance temperature of
60°C or 140°F.
4. Maintenance
The Prioma overbed tables are designed to provide years of
trouble free service, however after prolonged or improper use
the castors, mechanical lift mechanism and rollers or tilt
mechanism (Rastomat) may become worn or damaged.
The following preventive maintenance procedures should be
carried out at intervals of 12 months. In the event that there
is an issue with the product, all service or repair activities
must be carried out by properly qualified and trained persons.

full range of table height.

Castors
Make sure all four castors are securely
fixed to the base and that they swivel and
rotate freely. Remove any debris that may
have been picked up by the wheels.
