A. Introduction
Thankyouforselectingthis“VideoinaBag”System. Thesystem's
mainfeaturesinclude a 5.6"LiquidCrystal Display (LCD)Moni-
torandaDVDPlayer. The system utilizesthelateststateofthe
artelectronicsand isdesignedforuseinvehicles,hotels, offices
oryourhome.The“VideoinaBag”Systemisconstructedtopro-
vide years of reliable, trouble-free service. The system is com-
pactsothatyoucantakeitwithyouanywhereandisdesignedfor
quick and easy installation. The LCD monitor is detachable and
can be can be utilized and stored separately from the main unit.
Twoadditionalmonitorscanbepurchasedandaddedto thesys-
temsetup allowing you to utilize three monitorsat once (two ex-
ternalandoneattached). Theconnectionofthe additional moni-
torisplug andplay.
Pleasereadtheentireinstructionmanualsuppliedwiththisprod-
uctpriortooperation. Thedocumentationwillassistyouininstall-
ingthesystemproperlytoobtainthebestequipmentperformance.
Allmanualsshouldbe storedforlater use.
B. Cautions and Warnings
1. Placement
Toprevent fireor electric shock, do not expose thisappliance to
rainormoisture. Donot placethe set onan unstablecart, stand,
tripod, bracket or table to prevent it from falling. Keep the unit
awayfromstrong magnets, heatsources,direct sunlight,exces-
sivedust.Iftheunitisbroughtdirectlyfromacoldtoawarmloca-
tion, moisture may condense inside the unit. When you move it
from a cold to a warm location, wait for about one hour before
operatingtheunit,orremovethediscandleavetheunitturnedon
untilthemoistureevaporates.
2. Installation
Ensure that the LCD Monitor, DVD Player, Bag and Pouch are
installedinaccordancewiththeinstructionsand illustrations pro-
videdinthismanual.Whenthemainunitisinthebag,ensurethe
inside Velcro straps of the bag are fastened to prevent the unit

from falling. The “S” hooks and all straps must be fastened cor-
rectlyto securethe system in the vehiclein theevent of anacci-
dent.Operate the “Video ina Bag” System withthe Bag open to
ensureproperventilationofthemonitorandtheDVDPlayer.The
system is intended to be mounted for rear seat viewing only. Do
notusethesysteminthe frontseatwhileoperatingyourvehicle.
3. Power
This system MUST be powered from the type of switched (Ac-
cessory) power indicated on the marking label (i.e. not directly
from the car battery). Power should be applied to the unit when
theignitionkey isin theRun and/or Accessorypositions. Topre-
vent battery discharge, disconnect the “Video in a Bag” System
jack from the cigarette lighter socket when the unit is not in use.
Useonlythesuppliedpowercablematchingthissettoavoidelec-
tric hazards. Always disconnect the power source first and then
thejackfromthesystem.
4. Object and Liquid
Donotpushobjectsofanykindintothesystemthroughopenings;
donotspillorsprayliquidofanykindonorinthesystem(thismay
resultinafire orelectricshock). Do notplaceanythingheavy on
theunit.To ensureproperventilationandproperoperation,never
coveror blockthe slotsand openingswith acloth orother mate-
rial.
5. Disassemble
Toavoid harmfromthe inside laserbeamtoeyes,andto reduce
theriskofelectricshock,do not attempttodisassemblethecabi-
net.Contactqualifiedservice personnelifyoursystem isinneed
ofrepair.
6. Cleaning Unit
Whencleaning,makesurethesystemisunplugged fromthepower
source. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a
clothlightly dampenedwith waterfor cleaningthe exteriorof the
systemonly.

7. Disc
Donotuseirregularlyshapeddiscssuch as heartorstar-shaped
discsasthey maycause theunit to malfunction.Do notstick pa-
per, tape or glue on the disc. Do not expose the disc to direct
sunlight or heat sources such as hot air ducts. Do not touch the
surface of disc. Handle the disc by its edge. Clean the disc by
wipingthediscfromthecenteroutwithacleaningcloth.Remove
the disc from the unit and store it in its case after playing. Some
playback operations of discs may be intentionally fixed by soft-
wareproducers. Since thisunit playsdiscs accordingto thedisc
contents the software producers designed, some playback fea-
turesmaynotbeavailable.Also refer totheinstructionssupplied
withthediscs.

1. Powering the system indoors (Refer to Figure 1)

Unzip the lower compartment of the bag and take out the AC to
DC adapter. Plug one end of the AC to DC adapter into the DC
12Vjackonthe leftsideofthemainunit,thenplugotherendinto
the 110V AC power receptacle.
2. Powering the system in the vehicle (Refer to Figure 2)

Unzip the lower compartment of the bag and take the cigarette
lighteradapter.PlugoneendintotheDC12Vjackontheleftside
of the main unit, then plug other end into the cigarette lighter
socket.
3. Powering the detached monitor indoors (Refer toFigure 3)

Themonitorcanbedetachedfrom the systembydepressingthe
buttonbelow the screen with one hand and removing the monitor
with the other hand. Take the AC to DC adapter from the lower
compartment,plugoneendintotheDC12Vjackontherightside
of the monitor, then plug the other end into the 110V AC power
receptacle.
4.Powering the detached monitor in the vehicle (Refer to
Figure 4)

Take the cigarette lighter adapter from the lower compartment,
plugoneendintotheDC12Vjackontherightsideofthemonitor,
thenplugtheother endintothecigarette lightersocket.
Note:
1).Whenthe monitoriscombined withthe mainunit,the inside
signalsincluding DC 12Vpowerwillbesuppliedfromthemain
unittothemonitor,sothereisnoneedforanotherpowersource
to be connected to the DC 12V jack on the right side of the
monitor.
2).Refer toFigure 5 and6. When themonitor is detached from
themain unit,you can connect the PORT on theright sideof
themonitor toeither MONITOR 1 port orMONITOR 2port on
theleftsideofthemainunitwiththesuppliedDINcable.When
the monitor is connected to the main unit with the DIN cable,
DC 12V power, Audio/Video and IR signals will all be sup-

pliedthroughtheDINcabletotheconnectedmonitor.Sothere
is no need for another power source to be connected to the
DC 12V jack on the right side of the detached monitor.

E. Installation
1. Installing the system onto the seat back in a car (Refer
to Figure 7)

1).Unfasten the rearVelcro straps ofthe bag.Fold inwardsthe
rear piece of the bag and attach its end velcro strap to the
middle Velcro strap on the back of the bag to form a triangle.
2).Hangthebagontotheseatbackbyloopingtheshoulderstrap
ofthebag aroundthe headrestofthe seat.
3).Takeone ofthesupplied strapsfrom the lowercompartment
ofthebag,andconnectthelatchtothelowermetal ring onthe
left side of the bag. Attach the "S" hook to the same ring after
loopingthestraparoundthedriver'sseatrail. Repeatthispro-
cess for the right side. In some vehicles, it may be necessary
toattach the"S" connectorto the rail directly,as itmay notbe
longenoughto reachbackto thering.
4).Adjustthe strapstightly sothatthe bagis secured.
5).Unzipthe bagandflip downthefront flap. Ensurethe inside
Velcro straps of the bag is fastened to prevent the unit from
falling. Swing the monitor upwards and adjust the screen for
thedesiredviewing angle.

2. Installing the system between the driver/passenger seat
(Referto Figure8)

1).Takeoneof thesuppliedstraps fromthelower compartment
ofthebag,andconnectthelatchtotheuppermetalringonthe
leftside ofthe bag. Attachthe "S" hook to the same ring after
loopingthestraparoundtheheadrest of thedriver'sseat. Re-
peat this process for the right side (Passenger Seat).
2).Takeanotherstrapandconnectthelatchtolowermetalringon
the left side of the bag. Attach the "S" hook to the same ring
after looping the strap around the driver's seat rail. Repeat
thisprocessfortherightside.Insomevehicles,it may benec-
essarytoattach the"S"connector totherail directly,asit may
notbelong enoughto reachbackto thering.
3).Adjustthe strapstightly sothatthe bagis secured.
4).Unzipthe bagandflip downthefront flap. Ensurethe inside
Velcro strap of the bag is fastened to prevent the unit from
falling. Swing the monitor upwards and adjust the screen for
thedesiredviewing angle.

3. Installing the system on the back seat in a car (Refer to
Figure 9)
Thereis no need to removethe four straps from thebag as they
arenotusedin thisinstallation.

Carefullyplacethesystem(frontfacingup)onthebackseat.Guide
thevehiclessafety belt throughtheshort strapsewnon theback
ofthe bag.Thensecureandadjustthesafetybeltsothatthesys-
tem is not free to move around. Finally uncover the bag, swing
the monitor upward and adjust the screen for a desired viewing
angle. Ensure the inside Velcro strap of the bag is fastened to
prevent theunitfromfalling.
4. Installing the detached monitor onto the seat back in a car
(Referto Figure10)

1).Followtheinstallationinstruction showninItem1, 2 or3.
2).Detachthe monitorfromthe mainunitby depressingthebut
ton below the screen with one hand and remove the monitor
withtheotherhand.Takethepouchfromtherearcompartment
ofthebag. Slidethemonitor intothepouch, andmakesure to
feed the bottom piece of the pouch into the long slot at the
bottomofthemonitor and attachtheVelcrostrap tofastenthe
monitorinthepouch.Then loopthestrapofthe poucharound
the headrest and pull the end of the strap while holding the
buckleuntilthepouchistightlysecured.
3).InsertoneendoftheDINcableintothePORTontherightside
of the detached monitor, and the other end into either MONI-
TOR1portorMONITOR2portontheleftsideofthemainunit.
5. Placing the system in a hotel/office/home (Refer to
Figure 11)

1).Justplacethesystemonatableorotherlevelsurfacewiththe
system bottom facing down. Uncover the monitor and adjust
the screen for the desired viewing angle. This can be done
withorwithouttheunitinsideitsbag.Youcanremovethemain
unitfrom the bagby unfasteningthe insideVelcrostrap ofthe
bag.

2).Youcan detachthemonitor fromthemainunit bydepress
ing the button below the screen with one hand and removing
themonitorwiththeotherhand. Rotatethebaseofthemonitor
backward so that it may be placed on a table or other level
surface. Adjust the screen for the proper viewing angle. This
canbe donewithorwithoutthemonitorinsideitspouch.Insert
oneend of the DIN cable into the PORTontherightsideofthe
detachedmonitor,andtheotherendintoeitherMONITOR1or
MONITOR2portonthe leftsideofthemain unit.

G. Playing A DVD
Afterconnectingpowertotheunit,press thepowerbuttononthe
mainunitmomentarily andpressthe powerbuttonon thesideof
the monitor. Insert the disc into the slot on the right side of the
main unit, the unit will load the disc and start playing automati-
cally; if there’s a disc inside unit, press the POWER button, the
unitwillstartplayingautomatically.

2. Menu
ADVDisdividedintosectionscalledtitleandchapter. Whenyou
play a DVD, a root menu of the disc will appear on the screen of
your TV or Monitor. The contents of the menu vary from disc to
disc.PressMENUduring playing todisplaythemenu, andpress
ENTERorPLAYtostart playing.SomeDVDsallowyou toselect
discplay back optionsusing the DVD menu.
3. Display (Thecontentsvary fromdiscto disc.)
1).Playing timeand remaining time
a.Duringplay backpress DISPLAY to displaythe currenttitle
number (1), the total number of titles (2), the current chapter
number(3), thetotal number of chapters (4),and theplaying
timeforthe title(5).The headingwilldisappear automatically
inabout 3seconds.

2).Angle
During play back press ANGLE to view angles for discs con-
tainingmulti-angles, withthecurrentanglenumber(1)andthe
total number of angles (2) displaying. Go on to press ANGLE
toselectotherangle,andfinallyexittoreturntonormalviewing
angle. The angle display will disappear automatically if the
ANGLEbutton isn’t pressed again in about 3seconds.

DuringplayingpressSUBTITLEtoselectthesubtitlelanguage
youdesire,with thecurrent subtitlelanguage number (1)and
the total number of subtitle languages (2) displayed. If there
are multiple languages press SUBTITLE again to select an-
othersubtitlelanguage.Toturnsubtitlesoff, pressthesubtitle
button untilSUBTITLE OFF isdisplayed. Thesubtitle display
will disappear automatically if the SUBTITLE button isn’t
pressed again for 3 seconds.

4). Audio
During play back press AUDIO to select the audio language
youdesire,withthecurrentaudio channelnumber(1)andthe
total number of audio channels (2) displayed. Press AUDIO
againtoselectanotheraudio language. Theaudiodisplaywill
disappearautomaticallyiftheAUDIObuttonisn’t pressedagain
for3 seconds.

DuringplaybackpressZOOMtoenlargethepictureby 1.5,2,
or4X withthecurrent zoom multiple(1)displaying.Press Up/
Down/Left/Right to move the zoomed picture. Press ZOOM
againto select otherzoom multipleor untilZOOM OFFisdis-
playedandthepicturewillreturntonormalsize.Thezoomdis-
play will disappear automatically if the ZOOM button isn’t
pressed again for 3 seconds.
