ingressratingotheequipment.AsaminimumthisshouldbeIP66orIP67.
•Unusedcableentryaperturesshallbeclosedwithsuitablycertiedblankingplugs.
•Theprotectiveguardonthethermalhousingsmustnotberemoved.
•YieldstrengthotheendcapastenersisA4-80.
•Forcoalminingapplications,equipmentshallonlybeinstalledwhereithasbeen
assessedthatthereisalowriskomechanicaldamageromimpactswhichcould
compromisetheenclosure’sameprooprotection.

WARNING
Allinstallationandmaintenancemustbecarriedoutbyasuitablyskilledelectrician
inaccordancewithalllocalandnationalstandardsandcodesopracticee.g.NFPA70
(NationalElectricalCode),CSAC22.1(CanadianElectricalCode,PartISaetyStandardor
ElectricalInstallations),IEC/EN60079-14(Explosiveatmospheres-Electricalinstallations
design,selectionanderection)andIEC/EN60079-17(Explosiveatmospheres.Electrical
installationsinspectionandmaintenance).
Theinstallermustcomplywiththetechnicaldataattached.
Ensurethatallitemsareapprovedandcertiedortheenvironmentalandinstallation
requirements.Theratinglabelmustbecheckedtoensuretheunitisbeingusedwithinthe
correctambienttemperatureandenvironmentalconditions,andthatthepowersupplyis
suitable.
Usestainlesstoolstoavoidruststainsorpittingcorrosion.Stainlesssteelis
corrosion-resistant,butextraneousrustcanappearithematerialishandledincorrectly.
Equipmentmustbeinstalled≤2000mabovesealevel.
Modicationsordesignchangestothedevicesarenotallowed.
Saetyrulesandnationalregulationsmustbeobserved.
Neverinstalldevicesinareasthatmayexceedtheambienttemperaturerange.
Aggressivesubstancesmayrequireextraprotection.
Thedevicemustbeprotectedbyadditionalmeansoprotectioniitisexposedtoexcessive

M25x1.5orM20x1.5,dependingonproducttype,withtolerance6g/6HaccordingtoISO
965.ThecableglandusedmustnotinvalidatetheIPratingotheenclosureandmustbe
ratedortheinstallation.
Allentriesmustbepluggedwithsuitablecertiedequipment.
Fixingbracketsmustbetighteneduponinstallation.Suitablescrewsmustbeused.Seethe
product’sdatasheetorinormationabouttheproductweight.
ReplacementpartsmayonlybeinstalledusingcomponentpartsasspeciedbyAxisExAB.
