CAUTION!
If possible, use method B, which is the recommended installation
method. When installing the product using method A, only turn
the nut of the mounting screw while making sure the product
stays still. Do not turn the product. Do not overtighten the
mounting screw, since warping of the product may cause the PTZ
mechanism to fail. If the PTZ function is lost, loosen the nut and
restart the product. If the loss continues, use the mounting plate,
method B, instead.
Legal Considerations
Video and audio surveillance can be prohibited
by laws that vary from country to country. Check
the laws in your local region before using this
product for surveillance purposes.
This product includes one (1) H.264 decoder
license. To purchase further licenses, contact
your reseller.

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
This equipment generates, uses and can radiate
radio frequency energy and, if not installed
and used in accordance with the instructions,
may cause harmful interference to radio com-
munications. However, there is no guarantee
that interference will not occur in a particular
installation.
If this equipment does cause harmful interfer-
ence to radio or television reception, which can
be determined by turning the equipment o and
on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following
measures: Re-orient or relocate the receiving
antenna. Increase the separation between the
equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment
to an outlet on a dierent circuit to the receiver.
Consult your dealer or an experienced radio/
TV technician for help. Shielded (STP) network
cables must be used with this unit to ensure
compliance with EMC standards.
USA - This equipment has been tested and
found to comply with the limits for a Class B
computing device pursuant to Subpart B of Part
15 of FCC rules, which are designed to provide
reasonable protection against such interference
when operated in a commercial environment.
Operation of this equipment in a residential area
is likely to cause interference, in which case the
user at his/her own expense will be required
to take whatever measures may be required to
correct the interference.
Canada - This Class A digital apparatus complies
with Canadian ICES-003.
Europe - This digital equipment fullls the
requirements for radiated emission according to
limit A of EN55022/1998, and the requirements
for immunity according to EN55024/1998
residential, commercial and industry. Caution!
This is a Class A product. In a domestic environ-
ment this product may cause radio interference,
in which case the user may be required to take
adequate measures.
Japan - This is a class B product based on
the standard of the Voluntary Control Council
for Interference from Information Technology
Equipment (VCCI). If this is used near a radio or
television receiver in a domestic environment, it
may cause radio interference. Install and use the
equipment according to the instruction manual.
Australia - This electronic device meets the
requirements of the Radio communications
(Electromagnetic Compatibility) Standard AS/NZS
CISPR22:2002.
Korea - As an electromagnetic wave equip-
ment for oce use (Class A), this equipment is
intended to use in other than home area. Sellers
or users need to take note of this.
Safety
Complies to EN 60950-1 (IEC 60950-1), Safety of
Information Technology Equipment.
Equipment Modications
This equipment must be installed and used in
strict accordance with the instructions given in
the user documentation. This equipment contains
no user-serviceable components. Unauthor-
ized equipment changes or modications will
invalidate all applicable regulatory certications
and approvals.

1 YEAR LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY
Warranty Coverage
Axis Communications AB’s (“Axis”) warranty obligations are limited to the terms set forth below:
Axis warrants the original purchaser that the AXIS Netw ork Video product enclosed with this limited hardware warranty will in
respect of the hardware be free from defects in design, workmanship and materials under normal use for a period of one (1) year from
the date of the original end-user purchase (“Warranty Period”).
Notwithstanding the above the Warranty Period shall be limited to a period of three (3) months from the date of the original end-user
purchase for PTZ Network Cameras (not including Dome Network Cameras) which are at any time used in continuous motion
applications (i.e. sequence mode and guard tour). For avoidance of doubt, if said products are not at any time used in continuous
motion applications, the original hardware warranty of one (1) year will apply.
The original purchaser shall without undue delay notify Axis of any defect which appears according to Axis’ RMA Handling, failure
to which shall mean that the purchaser loses its right to have the defect remedied. A valid form of a bill of sale or receipt from an
authorized retailer/distributor with the date of the original purchase must be presented to obtain warranty service. If a valid claim is
received within the Warranty Period, the sole remedy of the original purchaser and Axis’ sole and exclusive liability shall be limited
to, at Axis sole discretion, either repair of the hardware defect using new or refurbished replacement parts, or replacement of the
product. Repaired or replacement hardware will be warranted for the remainder of the original Warranty Period or ninety (90) days,
whichever is longer. When a product or part is exchanged the replacement hardware becomes the property of the original purchaser
and all hardware or part thereof that is replaced shall become the property of Axis.

Exclusions and Limitations
This warranty does not apply (a) to faulty and improper installation, maintenance, service, repair and/or alteration in any way that is
not contemplated in the documentation for the product or carried out with Axis’ consent in writing, operational adjustments covered
in the operating manual for the product or normal maintenance, (b) to cosmetic damages, (c) if the product is modified or tampere d
with, (d) if the product is damaged by acts of God, misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, normal wear and tear and deterioration,
improper environmental conditions (including, but not limited to, electrical surges, water damage and heat exposure) or lack of
responsible care, (e) if the product has had the model or serial number altered, defaced or removed, (f) to consumables (such as
batteries) (g) to products that have been purchased “as is” and Axis, the seller or the liquidator expressly disclaim their warranty
obligation pertaining to the product, (h) to any non-Axis hardware product or any software (irrespective of packaged or sold with a n
Axis hardware product) and Axis products purchased from an unauthorized distributor/reseller,(i) to damage that occurs in shipment
or (j) to damages by any other causes not related to defective design, workmanship and/or materials.
NOTE:
• If the product is to be used outdoors or in dusty, humid, or other hostile environments, it must be suitably protected.
• Further, camera products specifically, must be protected, whether in use or not, from exposure to direct sunlight or halogen
light – which may damage the camera image sensor. This applies to both indoor and outdoor use of the cameras.
• For camera products supplied without a lens, extreme care should be used when mounting a lens on these products. Damage to
the product due to incorrectly mounted lenses will invalidate this limited hardware warranty.
• Failure to comply with any of the aforementioned requirements will invalidate this Limited Hardware Warranty.
THE WARRANTY AND REMEDI ES PROVIDED ABOVE ARE EXC LUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL O THER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED
WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NO T LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIE S OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE . CERTAIN JURISDICTIO NS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXC LUSION OF IMPLIED WARR ANTIES. IF LAWS
UNDER SUCH JURISDICTIONS A PPLY, THEN ALL EXPRESS AND IMPL IED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO T HE WARRANTY
PERIOD IDENTIFIE D ABOVE. UNLESS PROV IDED HEREIN, ANY STAT EMENTS OR REPRESEN TATIONS MADE BY ANY OTHE R
PERSON OR FIRM ARE V OID. EXCEPT AS PROV IDED IN THIS WRITTEN WARR ANTY AND TO THE EXTE NT PERMITTED BY LA W,
NEITHER AXIS NOR ANY AF FILIATES SHALL BE LIABLE FO R ANY LOSS, (INCLUDING L OSS OF DATA AND INFORMATIO N),
INCONVENIENC E, OR DAMAGE, INCLUDI NG, BUT NOT LIMITED TO , DIRECT, SPECIAL, IN CIDENTAL OR CONSE QUENTIAL
DAMAGES, RESULTING FROM T HE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE AXIS PRO DUCT, WHETHER RESULTING FR OM BREACH OF
WARRANTY OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEOR Y. NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREG OING, AXIS’ TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL
CLAIMS UNDER THIS WARRA NTY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE P RICE PAID FOR THE PRODUCT . THESE LIMITATIONS ON
POTENTIAL LIABI LITIES HAVE BEEN AN ESSE NTIAL CONDITION IN SE TTING THE PRODUCT PRIC E.
Applicable Law
• This Limited Warranty is governed by and construed under the laws of Sweden.
• This Limited Hardware Warranty may be subject to Axis’ change at any time without prior notice.

Camera owner authentication key
The authentication key on this label is used to authenticate the owner/administrator of this Axis
camera. The key is associated with the camera’s unique serial number (S/N), as shown at the top of the
label. The authentication key is used for registering the camera with an AVHS service provider for hosted
