Product Description
The AXIS 241Q/S is a new generation,full-featured video server for security su rv eillance
and rem o te monitoring needs,based around the new AXIS ARTPEC-2com pression chip.It
has the ability to digitize up to 4 analog video so u rces and makethese available on the
networkas strea m s ofrea l t
imefullfra m e ra te Motion JP E G video.
The AXIS 241Q is equipped with 4 BNC inputs foranalog video devices and the AXIS 241S
is equipped with 1 BNC inputand a matching loop-through output.The AXIS 241S can
also accommodate Y/C video using an Y/C to BNC cable (notincluded).
The AXIS
241Q/241S is equipped with RS232 and 485 ports for connection ofthird party PTZ
system s and 4 alarm inputs and 4 alarm outputs, which can be connected to various third
party devices,e.g.door sen so rs and alarm bells. Up to 20 view ers can access the unit
simultaneously.
Video can be
view ed in 10 reso lutions (up to 768x576),each with 5 quality levels. The
video serv er contains Video Motion Detection,which allow s the unitto trigger on activity
in the video image,and advanced sch ed u ling tools which can also be used to trigger an
event.As
the AXIS 241Q/241S is designed for use in security sy stem s,itis equipped with
sev era l security features,su ch as IP address filtering,multilevel passw ord and HTTPS.
The AXIS 241Q/241S has a built-in Webserver, providing fullaccess to allfeatures
through the use ofa standard Webbrow ser.The built-in scripttoolallow s basic
applications to be created,providing basic su rv eillance so lutions.Foradvanced
functionality,the video server is easy to integrate through the use ofAXIS HTTP API(more
