Entspricht 21 CFR 1040.10 und 1040.11 mit Ausnahme der Abweichungen gemäß Laser Notiz Nr.
50 vom 24. Juni 2007.

Bei länger andauerndem Blick in den Strahlengang kann die Netzhaut im Auge beschädigt
werden.
Bei der Montage darauf achten, dass der Strahlengang am Ende möglichst abgeschlossen ist.
Der Laser darf nicht auf Personen (Kopfhöhe) gerichtet werden.

Ist das Sicherheitsetikett bedingt durch die jeweilige Einbausituation am BOD 26K verdeckt,
sind weitere Sicherheitsetiketten sichtbar anzubringen. Beim Anbringen des Sicherheitsetiketts
darauf achten, dass beim Lesen des Sicherheitsetiketts nicht in den Laserstrahl geblickt werden
kann.

3 Einsatzzweck
Für das Sichern von Personen an Maschinen und technischen Anwendungen ist der BOD 26K
nicht zugelassen.
Der BOD 26K ist ein optischer Sensor und misst (nach dem Triangulationsprinzip) berührungslos Abstände.

Sensoranordnung
BOD 26K positionieren, so dass der Abstand zum Objekt innerhalb des Arbeitsbereiches des Sensors liegt.
Den BOD 26K auf den Haltewinkel, z.B. Typ BOS 26-HW-1 (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten), oder an eine geeignete
Vorrichtung schrauben.
Bei Stufen, bewegten oder gestreiften Objekten, den Sensor mit seiner Frontscheibe quer zur Bewegungsrichtung
montieren (Abb. 2 + 3).

Um die Messungen zu optimieren ist der BOD 26K vor Erschütterung konstruktiv zu schützen.

5 Elektrische Installation
Gerätestecker für das Anschlusskabel entsprechend der Einbaulage so verdrehen (Abb. 1), dass das Anschlusskabel
frei und ohne abzuknicken angeschlossen werden kann.
Buchse des Anschlusskabels in den Stecker des BOD 26K einstecken und handfest verschrauben.
Anschlusskabel gegen Verrutschen sichern (zum Beispiel mit Kabelbinder).
BOD 26K gemäss Abb. 5 anschliessen.

6 Bedienung und Einstellung
6.1 Mögliche Einstellungen und Betriebsarten
Der BOD 26K ist nach dem Anlegen der Betriebsspannung betriebsbereit.
Bei Bedarf können jedoch folgende Einstellungen vorgenommen werden:
· Schaltpunkt oder Schaltfenster setzen
· Analogausgang skalieren
· Betriebsmodus (Speed Mode / Averaging Mode ) einstellen
· Schaltart (N.O./N.C) einstellen
· Sensor in Werksauslieferungszustand zurück setzen
· Laser aus und Messwert Hold (über elektrischen Anschluss)
· Verriegelung der Tasten „S“ und „T“ (über elektrischen Anschluss)
6.2 Werksauslieferungszustand:
· Schaltausgang:
Schaltausgang ist aktiv, wenn Objekt im Arbeitsbereich und sicher erfasst. Schaltart = N.O.
· Analogausgang (4...20 mA):
4 mA = Ende Arbeitsbereich, 20 mA = Anfang Arbeitsbereich
· Betriebsart = speed mode (kürzeste Ansprechzeit)
· Betrieb = freilaufend (Normalbetrieb)
6.3 Anzeigen und Einstellelemente
Der BOD 26K wird mit den Tasten S und T eingestellt.

Gazing into the beam path for longer periods can damage the retina of the eye.
When mounting the sensor, ensure if possible that the beam path is sealed off at the end.
The laser must not be directed at people (head height).

Should the safety label on the BOD 26K sensor be partly covered due to its installation position,
other safety labels are to be positioned on visible parts of the sensor. When applying the new

3 Appropriate use
The BOD 26K sensor is not authorised for use in protecting human safety on machines and
during technical applications.
The BOD 26K is an optical sensor and measures distances without contact. (triangulationsprinciple)

Sensor alignment
Position BOD 26K so that the distance from the object is within the operating range of the sensor. Screw the BOD
26K sensor to the mounting bracket, e.g. type BOS 26-HW-1 (not included in delivery) or a suitable device. Only use
the holes provided in the housing (see dimensioned drawing) for this purpose.
If steps, moving or striped objects are to be detected, the front panel of the sensor should be mounted at a right
angle to the direction of movement or stripes (Illustr. 2 + 3).

To optimise measurements, the BOD 26K sensor is to be given constructive protection from

5 Electrical installation
Turn the sensor connector plug according to the installation position (Illustr. 1) so that the connection cable can be
freely connected without being bent.
Insert the socket of the connection cable into the BOD 26K connector and screw tight.
For example, secure the connection cable from sliding with a cable tie.

6 Operation and Setting
6.1 Possible Settings and Operating Modes
The BOD 26K is ready to operate after applying the operating voltage.
However, the following settings can be made if necessary:
· Set the switching point or switching window
· Scale the analogue output
· Set the operating mode (Speed Mode / Averaging Mode )
· Set the switching type (N.O./N.C)
· Reset the sensor to the factory state
· Laser off and measured value hold (via electrical connection)
· Lock buttons „S“ and „T“ (via electrical connection)
6.2 Factory State:
· Switching output:
Switching output is active when the object is in the operating range and reliably detected. Switching type = N.O.
· Analogue output (4...20 mA): 4 mA = end of operating range, 20 mA = beginning of operating range
· Operating mode = speed mode (shortest response time)
· Operation = free running (normal mode)
6.3 Indicators and Setting Elements
The BOD 26 K is set with the buttons S and T.

Le BOD 26K n’est pas destiné à garantir la sécurité des personnes travaillant sur des machines
et des applications techniques.
Le capteur BOD 26K est un capteur optique, fonctionnant selon le principe de la triangulation, qui mesure des
distances sans contact.

Le BOD 26K est opérationnel après l’application de la tension d’alimentation.
Si nécessaire, il est possible d’effectuer les réglages suivants:
