3 Basics
The Standalone control unit for sampling systems, is used for Control of two
sampler motors for the bottling of representative milk samples, including the
default quantities and optionally the processed measurement values of the
flow level meter.
Switching on the system and operating the vehicle system depend on the spe-
cific vehicle type and the operating instructions applicable thereto.

3.1.1 Inputs
The operation is done by the „EASI Wheel“, which is mounted below the dis-
play
The functions of the “EASI Wheel” are controlled by the software based on the
current operating status and can be used to select the menus and also to enter
numerical values.
To accept the numerical values entered and to exit the input dialog, use the
two buttons on the right side of the display.
By pressing the green button a menu can be called up or the entered value
confirmed. To exit a menu or discard the entered value, press the red button.
3.1.2 Display
An OLED-Display screen with 256x64 pixel is used to show all readouts.
Due to the high contrast of the OLED Display, it is easily recognizable even in
darkness and bright sunlight and very stable viewing angle.

tions to other potentials (e.g. chassis ground reference or reverse voltages in
the plus branch) are always galvanically decoupled (e.g. with additional relay,
if necessary).

Filling control mode
Flow level meter: current and voltage input
Milk sensor: Via milk sensor and permanently configured
pump output.
Flow FLM at 4-20 mA
Flow rate at 20 mA expected by the sampler at the FLM power
input (Input in l/min)
Pump capacity
small amount
Average pumping (suction) rate for collection quantities that are
smaller than the quantity entered under “threshold small/medium
quantity”.
Flow (Input in l/min)
middle amount
Average pumping rate for collection quantities that lie between
“small/medium” and “medium/high” quantity entered under “thresh-
old quantity”.
Flow (Input in l/min)
high amount
Average pumping rate for collection quantities that lie above “me-
dium/high” quantity entered under “threshold medium/high quan-
tity”.
Flow (Input in l/min)
post sucking
Flow during the suction period. (Input in l/min)
Sucking time
After the milk sensor M1 reports "empty", sucking will continue for
this period (s)
Switching threshold The pumping rate to match the expected or preset quantity of milk is relayed to the
ULTRASAMPLER®.
small/medium quantity
With preset quantities below this value, the “small” pumping rate is
relayed to the ULTRASAMPLER®; with other quantities, the “me-
dium” rate is relayed.
medium/high quantity
With preset quantities above this value, the “high” pumping rate is
relayed to the ULTRASAMPLER®; with other quantities, the “me-
dium” rate is relayed.
Exp. Tour Vol
The preset tour quantity entered here is taken over, a new query at
the start of the tour does not occur again.
Motor CIP-Frequency
Rotational frequency of motor during cleaning (1250)
Correction Factors Correction of fat quantity during intake. In case of different intake quantities,
above-average fat values can be corrected.
Low Estimate Range
correction factor for fat quantity (Input in %1/x)
.. Operative up to
Quantity up to which the first correction factor applies (Input in l/min)
Middle Estimate Range
correction factor for fat quantity (Input in %1/x)
.. Operative up to
Quantity up to which the second correction factor applies. (Input in
l/min)
High Estimate Range
correction factor for fat quantity (Input in %1/x)
Start delay high amount
When a preset quantity is greater than the quantity to which the
second correction factor applies („…Operative up to “) the value
entered here will be used instead of the value of the start delay for
a single sample. (Input in ms)

Tour sample
Vial Volume
Content of sample bottle in ml
Overfill Tolerance
Quantity permitted in the sample bottles expressed as a
percentage
e.g. 120% Bottle may be filled up to 20% over the rated volume
Start Delay
Delay from the milk sensor signal ("milk present") up to sampling start
[s].
If this value is reached, the fat content gets higher for all quantities.
Calibration Factor
The pumping hose calibration factor indicates how many µl are filled
per sampler rotation. (Enter 270 µl. Change the value if sampling vial
filling volume deviates from the set value.)
Pre Flushing From Estimate
In case of intake quantities (set quantities) lower than the value en-
tered here, no pre-flushing occurs. [L]
Flushing Steps
Number of flushing steps when milk is detected in the pipe.
Minimum Pulse Steps
Minimum number of motor steps. (10)
Minimum Pulse Frequency
Minimum rpm of the sampler. If this rpm value is not reached, this
triggers intermittent mode. (50)
