Drectve and Dsposng of the
Waste Product
Ths product comples wth EU WEEE Drectve
(2012/19/EU). Ths product bears a classfcaton
symbol for waste electrcal and electronc
equpment (WEEE).Ths product has been
manufactured wth hgh qualty parts and
materals whch can be reused and are sutable
for recyclng. Do not dspose of the waste product
wth normal domestc and other wastes at the
end of ts servce lfe. Take t to the collecton
center for the recyclng of electrcal and electronc
equpment. Please consult your local authortes
to learn about these collecton centers.
1.3 Complance wth RoHS
Drectve
The product you have purchased comples wth EU
RoHS Drectve (2011/65/EU). It does not contan
harmful and prohbted materals specfed n the
Drectve.
1.4 Package Informaton
Packagng materals of the product are
manufactured from recyclable materals
n accordance wth our Natonal
Envronment Regulatons. Do not dspose
of the packagng materals together wth the
domestc or other wastes. Take them to the
packagng materal collecton ponts desgnated
by the local authortes.

1.5 Plug Wrng
The moulded plug on ths applance ncorporates a
13 A fuse. Should the fuse need to be replaced an
ASTA approved BS1362 fuse of the same ratng
must be used. Do not forget to reft the fuse
cover. In the event of losng the fuse cover, the
plug must not to be used untl a replacement fuse
cover has been ftted. Colour of the replacement
fuse cover must be the same colour as that
vsble on the pn face of the plug Fuse covers are
avalabe from any good electrcal store.
•Fiting a different plug
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead
of this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals on
your plug, proceed as follows:
•Brown cable = L (Lve)
•Blue cable = N (Neutral)
•Green/yellow cable must be connected to
ground (E) lne
With the alternative plugs a 13 A fuse must be
fitted either in the plug or adaptore or in the
main fuse box. If in doubt contact a qualified
electrician.

2.1 Overvew

3.1 Preparaton
1. Remove all packagng and stcker materals and
dspose of them accordng to the applcable
legal regulatons.
2. Before usng the applance for the frst tme,
clean all parts whch come nto contact wth
water carefully. (See the “Cleanng and care”
secton).
3. Completely roll out the power cord from the
cable col (6) on the bottom of the base (7). Pass
the power cord through the slot on the base.
4. Clean the kettle well before ntal use and
dscard water of frst two bolng cycles.
3.2 Operaton
1. Push the ld release button (2) on the kettle to
open the ld (3).
– The lid (2) opens automatically.
2. Fll the water tank wth water.

Do not place the water tank on the
base whle fllng t wth water.

Never fll the water tank above the
maxmum level ndcator or below
the mnmum level ndcator.
3. Close the ld (2) untl t clcks nto place.
4. Place the water tank on the base (6). Make
sure that t s sttng n an uprght and stable
poston.
5. Insert the plug nto the wall socket.
6. Press down On/Off swtch (5).
On/Off switch (5) illuminates and boiling
process begins.

Ld (2) should always be closed
durng the bolng process;
otherwse the kettle wll not swtch
off automatcally.
7. After a few mnutes, the water wll start to bol.
The kettle swtches off automatcally and On/
Off swtch (5) moves upwards.
The function indicator goes off.

If you want to stop the heatng
manually, push the On/Off swtch
(5) upwards.
8. Dsconnect the plug from the wall socket.
9. Take the water tank from the base (6). Only
hold t by the handle (4).
AWARNING
: Do not open the ld
(2) as hot water could splash out.
Make sure that no water splashes
onto the base (6).
10. Pour the water from the spout (1) to the cup
or glass you want to use.

If you want to contnue the bolng
process, repeat the procedure from
1 to 10.

Let the kettle cool down between
each heatng process.

4.1 Cleanng and care
AWARNING
: Never use petrol
solvents, abrasve cleaners, metal
objects or hard brushes to clean the
applance.
AWARNING
: Never put the
applance, base (6) or power cord n
water or any other lqud.
1. Turn the applance off and dsconnect t from
wall socket.
2. Let the applance cool down completely.
3. Use a damp soft cloth and a lttle mld cleanser
to clean the exteror of the applance.

Before usng the applance after
cleanng, dry all parts carefully usng
a soft towel.
4.2 Descalng the kettle
Descalng extends the lfe of your kettle.
Descalng perod depends on the water hardness
of your area.
1. Fll the heater wth water up to the maxmum
level and bol.
2. After the heater s swtched off, unplug the
applance.
3. Add 2 cups of whte vnegar or 1 tablespoon of
ctrc acd nto the boled water.
4. Keep the soluton n the heater for a few hours.
5. Then pour t and rnse the nner part of the
heater thoroughly.
6. Fll the heater wth clean water and bol t.
7. Then empty the heater and rnse wth water
agan.
4.3 Storage
•If you do not plan to use the applance for a long
perod of tme, please store t carefully.
•Make sure the applance s unplugged, cooled
down and completely dry.
•Store the applance n a cool, dry place.
•Make sure the applance s kept out of the reach
of chldren.
•Wnd up the power cord around the cable col (6)
on the bottom of the base (7).
4.4 Handlng and
transportaton
•Durng handlng and transportaton, carry
the applance n ts orgnal packagng. The
packagng of the applance protects t aganst
physcal damages.
•Do not place heavy loads on the applance or the
packagng. The applance may be damaged.
•Droppng the applance wll render t non-
operatonal or cause permanent damage.

Your appliance has the benefit of our manufacturer’s guarantee which covers the product for 12 months
from the date of original purchase.
This gives you reassurance that if within that time, your appliance is proven to be defective because of
either workmanship or materials, we will at our discretion either repair or replace your appliance.
The appliance must be correctly installed, located and operated in accordance with the instructions
contained in the user manual.The guarantor disclaims any liability for accidental or consequential damage.
The Guarantee is subject to the following conditions:
Documentary proof of the original purchase date is provided.
The appliance has been installed and operated correctly and in accordance with our operating and maintenance
instructions.
The appliance is used only on the electricity supply on the rating plate.
The appliance has only been used for normal domestic purposes.
The appliance has not been altered, serviced, dismantled or otherwise interfered with by any person.

Any parts removed during repair work or any product that has been replaced becomes our property.
The guarantee is not transferrable if the product is resold.

Transit, installation or delivery damage.
Accidental damage.
