1.2 Complance wth WEEE
Drectve and Dsposng of the
Waste Product
Ths product comples wth EU WEEE Drectve
(2012/19/EU). Ths product bears a classfcaton
symbol for waste electrcal and electronc
equpment (WEEE).Ths product has been
manufactured wth hgh qualty parts and
materals whch can be reused and are sutable
for recyclng. Do not dspose of the waste product
wth normal domestc and other wastes at the
end of ts servce lfe. Take t to the collecton
center for the recyclng of electrcal and electronc
equpment. Please consult your local authortes
to learn about these collecton centers.
1.3 Complance wth RoHS
Drectve
The product you have purchased comples wth EU
RoHS Drectve (2011/65/EU). It does not contan
harmful and prohbted materals specfed n the
Drectve.
1.4 Package Informaton
Packagng materals of the product are
manufactured from recyclable materals
n accordance wth our Natonal
Envronment Regulatons. Do not dspose
of the packagng materals together wth the
domestc or other wastes. Take them to the
packagng materal collecton ponts desgnated
by the local authortes.

1.5 Plug Wrng
The moulded plug on ths applance ncorporates a
13 A fuse. Should the fuse need to be replaced an
ASTA approved BS1362 fuse of the same ratng
must be used. Do not forget to reft the fuse
cover. In the event of losng the fuse cover, the
plug must not to be used untl a replacement fuse
cover has been ftted. Colour of the replacement
fuse cover must be the same colour as that
vsble on the pn face of the plug Fuse covers are
avalabe from any good electrcal store.
•Fiting a different plug
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead
of this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals on
your plug, proceed as follows:
•Brown cable = L (Lve)
•Blue cable = N (Neutral)
•Green/yellow cable must be connected to
ground (E) lne
With the alternative plugs a 13 A fuse must be
fitted either in the plug or adaptore or in the
main fuse box. If in doubt contact a qualified
electrician.

2.1 Overvew

3.1 Preparaton
1. Remove all packagng and stcker materals and
dspose of them accordng to the applcable
legal regulatons.
2. Before usng the applance for the frst tme,
clean all parts whch come nto contact wth
water carefully. (See the “Cleanng and care”
secton).
3. Completely roll out the power cord from the
cable col (6) on the bottom of the base (7). Pass
the power cord through the slot on the base.
4. Clean the kettle well before ntal use and
dscard water of frst two bolng cycles.
3.2 Operaton
1. Push the ld release button (2) on the kettle to
open the ld (3).
– The lid (2) opens automatically.
2. Fll the water tank wth water.

Do not place the water tank on the
base whle fllng t wth water.

Never fll the water tank above the
maxmum level ndcator or below
the mnmum level ndcator.
3. Close the ld (2) untl t clcks nto place.
4. Place the water tank on the base (6). Make
sure that t s sttng n an uprght and stable
poston.
5. Insert the plug nto the wall socket.
6. Press down On/Off swtch (5).
 On/Off switch (5) illuminates and boiling
process begins.

Ld (2) should always be closed
durng the bolng process;
otherwse the kettle wll not swtch
off automatcally.
7. After a few mnutes, the water wll start to bol.
The kettle swtches off automatcally and On/
Off swtch (5) moves upwards.
 The function indicator goes off.

If you want to stop the heatng
manually, push the On/Off swtch
(5) upwards.
8. Dsconnect the plug from the wall socket.
9. Take the water tank from the base (6). Only
hold t by the handle (4).
AWARNING
: Do not open the ld
(2) as hot water could splash out.
Make sure that no water splashes
onto the base (6).
10. Pour the water from the spout (1) to the cup
or glass you want to use.

If you want to contnue the bolng
process, repeat the procedure from
1 to 10.

Let the kettle cool down between
each heatng process.

4.1 Cleanng and care
AWARNING
: Never use petrol
solvents, abrasve cleaners, metal
objects or hard brushes to clean the
applance.
AWARNING
: Never put the
applance, base (6) or power cord n
water or any other lqud.
1. Turn the applance off and dsconnect t from
wall socket.
2. Let the applance cool down completely.
3. Use a damp soft cloth and a lttle mld cleanser
to clean the exteror of the applance.

Before usng the applance after
cleanng, dry all parts carefully usng
a soft towel.
4.2 Descalng the kettle
Descalng extends the lfe of your kettle.
Descalng perod depends on the water hardness
of your area.
1. Fll the heater wth water up to the maxmum
level and bol.
2. After the heater s swtched off, unplug the
applance.
3. Add 2 cups of whte vnegar or 1 tablespoon of
ctrc acd nto the boled water.
4. Keep the soluton n the heater for a few hours.
5. Then pour t and rnse the nner part of the
heater thoroughly.
6. Fll the heater wth clean water and bol t.
7. Then empty the heater and rnse wth water
agan.
4.3 Storage
•If you do not plan to use the applance for a long
perod of tme, please store t carefully.
•Make sure the applance s unplugged, cooled
down and completely dry.
•Store the applance n a cool, dry place.
•Make sure the applance s kept out of the reach
of chldren.
•Wnd up the power cord around the cable col (6)
on the bottom of the base (7).
4.4 Handlng and
transportaton
•Durng handlng and transportaton, carry
the applance n ts orgnal packagng. The
packagng of the applance protects t aganst
physcal damages.
•Do not place heavy loads on the applance or the
packagng. The applance may be damaged.
•Droppng the applance wll render t non-
operatonal or cause permanent damage.

The guarantee does not in any way diminish your statutory or legal rights.
Your appliance has the benefit of our manufacturer’s guarantee which covers the product for 12 months
from the date of original purchase.
This gives you reassurance that if within that time, your appliance is proven to be defective because of
either workmanship or materials, we will at our discretion either repair or replace your appliance.
The appliance must be correctly installed, located and operated in accordance with the instructions
contained in the user manual.The guarantor disclaims any liability for accidental or consequential damage.
The Guarantee is subject to the following conditions:
Documentary proof of the original purchase date is provided.
The appliance has been installed and operated correctly and in accordance with our operating and maintenance
instructions.
The appliance is used only on the electricity supply on the rating plate.
The appliance has only been used for normal domestic purposes.
The appliance has not been altered, serviced, dismantled or otherwise interfered with by any person.
The appliance is used in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland.
Any parts removed during repair work or any product that has been replaced becomes our property.
The guarantee is not transferrable if the product is resold.
The Guarantee does not cover:
Transit, installation or delivery damage.
Accidental damage.
Misuse or abuse.
Replacement of any consumable item or accessories. These include but are not limited to: plugs, cables, light bulbs,
knobs, filters and flaps.
Repairs or replacements required as a result of unauthorised repairs or inexpert installation that fails to meet the
requirements contained in the user guide or instruction book.
Repairs to products used in commercial or non-residential household premises.
