Basic installation - single sound source
1Remove the battery pull tag to start the door transmitter. Clean the wall with
the wet wipe and remove the protective lm from the velcro.
2Mount the door transmitter to the left of the doorbell’s sound source as close
as possible. You can also use the supplied screw and plug.

Installation – intercom and mechanical doorbell
If you have an intercom and a mechanical doorbell, you may need two door
transmitters, i.e. one for each sound source. Proceed as follows:
1Pull the battery pull tab to start each door transmitter. Clean the wall
surface with the wet wipe and remove the protective lm from the velcro.
2Mount a door transmitter to the left of the doorbell and another to the left
of the intercom’s speaker, as close to the sound sources as possible.
Testing
1Ring the doorbell or intercom.
2TheVisit receiver lights up a door symbol and indicates with sound, lights or
vibrations (depending on the receiver). If it doesn’t react, read the section
Programming.

Programming
You can teach the door transmitter to recognize the sound of your doorbell.
1Press and hold button 1 until the LED blinks. Release it to start the recording.
2Ring the doorbell 5 times (pause between each press).The recording lasts for
5 min and ends automatically. Press button 1 to stop it manually.
3When it’s nished, the LED stops blinking. If the LED is red, see Trouble
shooting. Record the intercom with button 2 by repeating steps 1-2 above.

phone and the sound source is < 3 cm.

Introduction
Function
The door transmitter is part of the Visit alerting system that helps people with
hearing loss to notice signals in their home. It detects both doorbells and
intercoms.
Activation
The door transmitter can be activated by either:
The internal microphone (default)
The built-in electromagnetic detector
The External microphone accessory, art. no. BE9199 (2.5 m) / BE9200 (0.75 m)
The existing doorbell connected to the Ext trig
Using the built-in microphone
The door transmitter is programmed from the start to recognize the majority of
doorbells and intercoms. If the doorbell signal varies signicantly in strength or
tone, you can program it to recognize the sound (see Programming on page 83).

Using the External microphone
Connect the External microphone accessory to the microphone socket
(see Overview). The External microphone is used in the following scenarios:
1When the sound source is located too far away from the internal microphone
2When you need individual notications from eg. the doorbell and intercom
The default signal pattern on the receiver is as follows:

You can easily customize the receiver’s signal pattern by moving the signal
switches on the door transmitter according to the tables on page 87-90.
Please note: Do not place the External microphone too close to the door trans-
mitter. This might cause interference.

Using electromagnetic detection
The door transmitter can be set to detect electromagnetic elds emitted
by electromechanical doorbells. You only need to use this function if the
programming of the door transmitter has failed. Here is how it’s done:
Activating electromagnetic detection
Move the 4th signal-switch to the
Up=On position.
Deactivating electromagnetic
detection
Move the 4th signal-switch to the
Down=O position.
Clear the recorded sounds
To clear all recorded sounds, press and hold button 1 and 2 simultaneously for 5s.
Please note: Thiswill clearthe sounds that hasbeen recordedduring programming.
All radio key settings and transmitted signal settings will be kept intact.

Customizing the signal
The door transmitter controls the signal pattern on
the receiver. To customize the signal pattern, move
the signal switches according to the tables on
the following spreads.
Switch no. 4 is for electromagnetic detection.

Changing the radio key
If you install multiple systems, you can set a
unique radio key for each system to avoid radio
interference. Move any radio key switch to
the up=on position to change the radio key.
Please note
All Visit products within the same system must be set
to the same radio key in order to operate as a group.
