Dual Clutch Tool
for BMW DSG Transmission
ATTENTION
Read the operating instructions and all safety instructions contained therein carefully before using the
product. Use the product correctly, with care and only according to the intended purpose. Non-
compliance of the safety instructions may lead to damage, personal injury and to termination of the
warranty. Keep these instructions in a safe and dry location for future reference. Enclose the
operating instructions when handing over the product to third parties.
INTENDED USE
This tool is used to turn the clutch housing and is required when dismantling and assembling the
clutch. It is suitable for BMW double clutch transmissions (GS7D36SG), installed in models from 2008
such as M3, 135i, 335is, M5 (F10), M6 (F12 / F13) and can be used as BMW OEM 230400.
SAFETY INFORMATIONS
•Keep children and other unauthorized persons away from the work area.
•Do not let children play with the tool or its packaging
•Do not use the tool if parts are missing or damaged.
•Use the tool only for its intended purpose.
•Never place the included tools on the vehicle battery. Risk of short circuit.
•Take care when working on the running engine. Loose clothing, tools and other objects can be
caught in rotating parts and cause serious injuries.
•Take care when working on hot engines, there is a risk of burns!
•Remove the ignition key before starting repairs to prevent accidental starting of the engine,
resulting damage to components and injuries.
•These instructions serve as brief information and never replace a workshop manual. Please
always refer to the vehicle-specific service literature for technical information such as torque
values and information on dismantling and assembly.
NOTE
•Set the gearbox to position "N" when the engine is running.
•When removing, make sure that the gear unit remains in a vertical position so that no gear oil
leaks out.
•Make sure that the flange and rear spindle do not get stuck and can rotate smoothly.

REMOVING
Clutch case can only be removed or installed with this special
tool.
Special tool must be fully attached onto the clutch case.
When needed, please rotate the transmission input shaft.
Push the auxiliary brake (B) to the top,
and use cable ties (C) to fix it.
Rotate the drive shaft (D) until the holes are aligned.
Use proper tool to check if the holes are connected.
Install the special tool (A) and rotate counterclockwise for
about 8 times to release the clutch.
Pull out the clutch from its case.
Place the transmission at the vertical position.
When the oil pump gear rotates along with the transmission,
the clutch is installed correctly.
After rotation complete, use special tool to install the clutch.
Rotate clockwise to its maximum position and use torque to
tighten.

INSTALLING
Never use a hammer or other striking tool during installation. The
clutch must hit the clutch stand through the piston ring.
After installation, check that the piston ring (E) and needle bearing
(F) are correctly positioned.
Carefully insert the clutch into the clutch stand, being careful not to
damage the clutch or the piston ring (E).
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories
and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner
which is compatible with the environment. Contact your local solid waste authority for
recycling information. Dispose of this product at the end of its working life environmentally.
