KURULUS
HA 9888(32) Serileri PBX sisteminin arkasinda ve otel kullanimi icin tasarlanmistir. One
telefonun baglanacagi duvar fisini tesbit edin. Yok ise buyuk alisveris magazalarinda, bu tur
fisleri tedarik eden buyuk nalbur tipi alisveris merkezlerinde kolaylikla bulunabilir.
1) HA 9888(32)telefonun sol tarafinda moduler bir fis bulunmaktadir. Dongusel ahize
kablosunun bir ucunu bu fise yerlestirin (duzgun yerlestirildiginde “klik” seklinde bir kablo
baglanti sesi duyacaksiniz.)
2) Dongusel ahize kablosunun diger ucunu da ahizede bulunan fise yerlestirin.
3) Telefonu alt yuzu size bakacak sekilde ters cevirin. Duz baglanti kablosunun her hangi bir
ucunu da “TO TEL” yazan fise yerlestirin.
4) Ayni kablonun diger ucunu da duvar telefon prizine takin.
5) 5) Telefon baglantisi yapildiktan sonra, onyuzey baski kartonu, setin uzerine tuslara
gececek sekilde yerlestirin. Daha sonra uzerine gelecek plastic onyuzey koruma
kapagini onyuzey baski kartonunun uzerine gelecek sekilde, once sag ve sol disleri,
setin yerlestirme oyuklarina gelecek sekilde sokun. Plastigi ortadan bukerek diger (sag
veya sol) disleri kolayca yerlestirebilirsiniz.

Bir Aramayi Hatta Bekletirken Telefonlari Degistirmek
1) Arayani [HOLD] tusuna basarak bekletmeye alin.
2) Ahizeyi yerine koyun. Hoperloru kullanirken, arayani tutmak icin tekrar [HOLD] tusuna
basin
3) Baska bir telefonda aramayi baslatin. BITTEL e telefonu olan hatti anlayacak
ve tutma durumundaki aramayi orjinal telefondan cikaracaktir..
AHIZE VE HOPERLOR SESINI AYARLAMAK
Ahize ses tusu ses ayarininin [VOL], uc seviyesi vardir. Ahize ilk olarak kaldirildiginda, ses
seviyesi normal konumdadir. Tusa bir defa basildiginda, seviye bir adim yukselecektir (orta
siddet ayari). Tusa bir defa daha basildiginda, seviye bir adim daha yukselecektir (yuksek
ayar). Seviyeyi tekrar normal konuma getirmek icin, ahize ses ayar tusuna bir kez daha
basin.
Bu ayari yapmak icin, setin sag tarafindaki anahtari kaydirin.
CALMA SESINI AYARLAMAK
Setin arkasinda bulunan RİNGER LOW/Hİayar kontrol dugmesini istediginiz sekilde
konumlandirin. Kontrol dugmesini istenen seviyeye ALCAK-LOW veya YUKSEK-HİGH,
seklinde ayarlayabilirsiniz.
HAFIZA TUSLARINI PROGRAMLAMAK
Bu islemi yapabilmek icin, telefon hatta takili olmalidir.
1) Ahizeyi kaldirin veya [SPKR] tusuna basin,
2) [STORE] tusuna basin,
İstediginiz numarayi, [PAUSE] ve [FLASH] gerektiginde bu tuslarda dahil olmak uzere
tuslayin, [STORE] tusuna tekrar basin. Sira, maksimum 16 hane olabilir,
3) İslemi bitirmek icin, numarayi atamak istediginiz hafiza tusuna basin
([MWL] tusu da dahil olmak uzere),
4) Telefonu kapamak icin, ahizeyi yerine koyun veya [SPKR] tusuna basin.
MESAJ UYARI ISIGI
Lucent LED veya yuksek voljali neon/90V sistemeleriyle es uyumludur.
Telesekreter erisim numarasi girilmis ise, mesajlari dinlemek icin, ahizeyi kaldirin veya
[SPKR] tusuna, sonra [MWL] tusuna basin.
[MWL] ayni zamanda telefon calma uyari isigidir.

modemli bir bilgisayar veya faks makinasi gibi yardimci bir telefon

UNPACKING YOUR PHONE
This package should contain the following:
•HA 9888 TSD & TS base unit
•Faceplates
•Handset
•Coiled handset cord
•Straight line cord
•This manual
INSTALLATION
The HA 9888 TSD & TS Series is designed for hotel applications and behind a
registered PBX system in hotel. Determine you have the correct modular jack for
connecting the telephone. If you do not have a modular jack, one may be
obtained at minimal cost at a local hardware store, discount store or home center.
1) Located on the left side of the HA 9888 TSD & TS phone is a modular jack.
Insert one end of the coiled handset cord into this jack (you will hear the coil cord
click when properly inserted.)
2) Insert the other end of the coiled handset cord into the modular jack on the
handset.
3) Turn the telephone so the back panel is facing you. Insert either end of the line
cord into the jack on the back of the telephone labeled “TO TEL”.
4) Insert the other end of the line cord into a telephone wall jack.
5) Once your telephone is connected, place the paper faceplate over the keys.
The plastic overlay slips into place by hooking the tabs on the overlay into
the recessed slots located on both sides. The overlay is easiest to insert
when the left or right side tabs are inserted first, and the middle of the overlay
is slightly bowed to allow for insertion of the other tabs.

Controls, Connections and Function keys
(1) Hearing Aid Compatible Handset.
(2) Handset Wall Mount Clip – Clip to hold handset on hook in wall mount
application
(3) Memory Keys – Programmable to add special features or one touch dial
frequently dialed numbers.
(4) Dial Keys – Oversized keypad for ease of dialing.
(5) Flash Key -Enters a 600ms hook switch flash for accessing special
telephone system features.
(6) Redial Key –Redials the last number dialed.
(7) Volume key –Key steps through the three available handset and speaker
volume levels [Normal – Medium – High – Normal]
(8) SPKR Key** –Activates speakerphone function
(9) [Pause] key -- Hidden key inserts a 3.6 second pause in stored numbers
(10) Message Waiting Light – Indicates the phone is ringing or a message is
waiting. Responds to Neon/90V message waiting signal.
(11) Store Key – Hidden key for storing numbers to Memory.
(12) Hold Key -Places a caller on hold.
(13) Indicator for Hold Key.
(14) Ring Volume – Adjusts ringer volume to LOW or HI.
(15) Data Switch -- Switches data port connection to line 1(line the telephone
use) or line 2 (the spare line).
(16) Tel. Jack –Modular jack to connect telephone line cord
(17) Data Port – Provides access to the telephone line for connection of
modem, fax, or answering machine.

PLACING A CALL
Using the Handset
1) Lift the handset.
2) Listen for dial tone. Dial the desired number, or press [REDIAL] key to
automatically dial a number.
3) To end the call, hang up by replacing the handset.
Using the Speakerphone (models (32)TSD-10S/5S/3S/PS only)
1)Press the [SPKR] key
2)Wait for a dial tone.
3)Dial a phone number.
4)Press [SPKR] key when finished.

RECEIVING A CALL
Using the Handset
When the phone rings, the [MWL] flashes rapidly.
1) Pick up the handset.
2) To end the call, hang up by replacing the handset.
Using the speaker phone. (models(32)TSD-10S/5S/3S/PS only)
When the phone rings, the [MWL] flashes rapidly.
22. Press the [SPKR] key.
23. The speakerphone comes on automatically .
24. Press [SPKR] when finished.
SPEAKERPHONE TIPS
To activate the handset from speakerphone mode:
Lift the handset.
To activate the Speakerphone from handset mode:
•Press the [SPKR] key.
•Hang up the handset.
USING THE [HOLD] KEY
Place a call on hold
Press [HOLD] key to place the caller on hold. The [Hold] key indicator will get
red.
TO REMOVE A CALL FROM HOLD
–To release hold, in handset mode, press [HOLD] key; in speakerphone mode,
press [SPKR] key.
TO CHANGE PHONES AFTER PLACING A CALL ON HOLD
4) Place the caller on hold by pressing [HOLD] key.
5) Replace the handset in its cradle. When using speakerphone, just press
[HOLD] to place the caller on hold.
6) Pick up the call at another telephone. The BITTEL phone will detect the
current status and remove the hold condition at the original phone.

ADJUSTING HANDSET AND SPEAKER VOLUME
The handset volume key [VOL] has three levels. When the handset is first lifted,
the handset volume is normal. Press the key once and the volume level will
increase one level (to medium volume.) Press the key once more and the volume
level will increase an additional level (to high.) To return the handset volume to
normal volume, press the handset volume key again.
To adjust speaker volume , slide the switch on right side of the phone . (models
(32)TSD-10S/5S/3S/PS only)
ADJUSTING RING VOLUME
Locate the adjustment controls on the back of the telephone labeled RINGER
LOW/HI . Slide the switch to the desired LOW or HI ring volume .
PROGRAMMING MEMORY KEYS
To program the auto dial keys, the telephone must be connected to a telephone
line.
1) Lift handset or press [SPKR].
2) press [STORE],.
Dial the number desired including [PAUSE] and [FLASH] key where
necessary, press [STORE] key again . The sequence can be up to 16 digits
in length.
3) Press a Memory key (including [MWL]) to finish.
4) Hang up the handset or press the [SPKR] key to disconnect the telephone.
MESSAGE WAITING LIGHT
It is compatible with Lucent LED or high voltage neon/90V systems.
After stored a voice mail access number, If there’s message waiting, lift handset
or press [SPKR], then press [MWL] key to play messages.
[MWL] functions also as ringing indicator.
DATA PORT
This phone is equipped with a DATA PORT jack for guests to connect an
auxiliary phone device, such as a computer modem or a fax machine.
The DATA PORT switch on the back of the phone controls the DATA PORT
function by enabling you to choose the line that the data port uses, either line 1 or
line2 .

CONVERTING FROM DESK TO WALL MOUNT
It is best to do the conversion before connecting the handset and line cords.
Hold the telephone in front of the two mushroom shaped mounting post on the
wall. Both eyelets should line up with the mounting posts, slide telephone down
slightly. When properly installed the telephone will be stable and secure.
REQUIRED FCC NOTICE
The REN is used to determine the quantity of devices, which may be connected
to the telephone line. Excessive REN's on the telephone line may result in the
devices not ringing in response to an incoming call. In most, but not all areas, the
sum of the REN's should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of
devices that may be connected to the line as determined by the total REN's,
contact the telephone company to determine the maximum REN for the calling
area.
If this equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company
will notify you in advance that temporary discontinuance of service may be
required. If advance notice isn't practical, the Telephone Company will notify you
as soon as possible. Also, you will be advised of your right to file a complaint with
the FCC if you believe it is necessary.
The Telephone Company may make changes in its facilities, equipment,
operations, or procedures that could affect the operation of this telephone. If this
happens, the Telephone Company will provide advance notice in order for you to
make the necessary modifications in order to maintain uninterrupted service.
If you experience trouble with this telephone, please contact Bittel Inc. at (86)
633-2212119 for repair or warranty information. If the trouble is causing harm to
the telephone network, the Telephone Company may request that you remove
the equipment from the network until the problem is resolved. The customer can
do the following repairs: replacement of cords or handset; replacement of window
for telephone number.
This telephone cannot be used on Telephone Company provided coin service.
Connection to Party Line Service is subject to state tariffs.

On the bottom of this telephone is a label that contains, among other information,
the FCC registration number and the ringer equivalence number (REN) for this
telephone. If requested, you must provide this information to the Telephone
Company.
