Installing the Battery
WARNING: Battery acid leakage can cause
personal injury and cause damage to the product
and surrounding property. If battery leakage occurs,
thoroughly wash any affected skin, making sure to
keep battery acid away from eyes, ears, nose and
mouth. Immediately wash any clothing or other
surface that comes in contact with leaked battery
acid. If a chemical burn occurs or if irritation persists,
seek medical attention. Dispose according to Local,
State or Federal regulations.
WARNING: NEVER mix old and new batteries or
different brands of batteries. Replace all batteries at
the same time.
WARNING: NEVER mix alkaline, standard
(carbon-zinc), rechargeable (nickel-cadmium)
batteries with this product.
WARNING: NEVER dispose of batteries in re, as
they may leak and explode.
WARNING: ALWAYS remove exhausted batteries
from product.
♦ Batteries are to be inserted following the polarity
markings on the product.
♦ Remove batteries before extended storage.
To Begin Using Your Fan
♦ To begin using this unit, start by installing the
batteries in the remote control. DO NOT use
rechargeable batteries.
♦ To install the batteries, rst detach the battery
cover from the remote. To do this, place your
nger on the grooved area at the centre of the
battery cover and push down and away from the
body of the remote.
♦ Insert 2 x AAA batteries into the battery
compartment, taking care to ensure the polarities
are correct.
♦ Once the batteries have been correctly inserted,
replace the battery cover by aligning each of the
locking tabs with the corresponding notch on the
remote control body and pushing it upwards until it
clicks into place.
♦ The remote control is now ready for normal use.
Assembling Your Fan
WARNING: Before performing any assembly or
maintenance, switch the unit off and remove it from
the power supply.
♦ Carefully remove the fan from the carton and
place it at on the oor.
♦ Align the column with the groove on the base and
x them together using the lock nut.
♦ Tighten the locknut to secure the column and
base unit together.
♦ Once the column is secured to the fan base,
align the installation groove on the column and
the motor column and turn clockwise to x the
connection. Use the screw provided to secure
further.
♦ Align the rear grille with the motor shaft.
♦ Align the grille locknut with the motor shaft and
turn clockwise to x the rear grille.
♦ Align and attach the blade, to the motor shaft
checking that it can rotate normally.
♦ Align the blade locknut and turn anti-clockwise to
hold the blades in place.
♦ Attach the front grille and secure to the rear grille:
Align the Front Grille catch with the illustrated
position of the Rear Grille. (See diagram on
page 2). With both hands, press the grilles
together sequentially.
Press the catch over the grilles to x in place.
Note! Do not remove the grilles once tted.
♦ Adjust the height of the unit by turning the
height adjustment key and then raising/ lowering
the column as required. Re-tighten the height
adjustment key to lock in place.
