PROCEDURE:
1. REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ INSTRUCTIONS
CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION.
2. Begin installation by removing front bumper skin. Remove (6) bolts at bottom of bumper that attach to black
splash guards under vehicle. Then remove (3) black rivet pins between the headlights and finally remove (2) 8
mm bumper bolts (1 per side) located at the edge of each wheel well (Figure 1).
3. Locate and remove (1) 8mm bumper bolt per side by peeling away wheel well splash guard to expose bolt. Then,
pull on bumper to remove entire bumper skin. If equipped with fog lights and headlight washers, it will be
necessary to disconnect electrical and water lines to remove bumper skin completely (Figure 2).
4. With front bumper skin removed, remove Styrofoam bumper panel (not shown) to expose aluminum bumper
channel. Using socket wrench with extension, remove bumper channel by removing (3) 10 mm bolts per side
(arrows indicate location of bolts) Set bumper channel aside (Figure 3).
5. Place lower mounting brackets over bumper channel mounting locations. Brackets (one driver, one passenger)
will rest loosely on (1) existing stud on each side. Make sure brackets are positioned as shown with top arms
pointing toward center of vehicle (Figure 4).
6. Place vehicle bumper channel over lower mounting brackets and fasten loosely to vehicle using existing
hardware. Once all bolts are threaded, tighten until slightly snug. At this stage you must make your alignment
adjustments, due to the fact that once the channel is fully tightened and the bumper skin is re-installed, you will
not have access to these brackets (Figure 5). See step #7
7. With brackets loose, fasten Grille Guard to vehicle using (2) 12mm x 35mm Hex Head Bolts, (4) 12mm Flat
Washers and (2) 12mm Nylock Nuts per side. Tighten until snug. Check the alignment of the front guard on the
vehicle to make sure it is centered. If adjustment is needed, loosen bumper channel bolts and adjust Grille Guard.
Then fully tighten vehicle bumper channel bolts. Remove Grille Guard and set aside (Figure 6).
8. Place Styrofoam panel over bumper channel (Look for arrow on panel at center for top). Reinstall front bumper
skin so that it snaps into position. Attach electrical lines for fog lights and water line headlight washers, if
equipped, at this time. Also, fasten all rivet pins and bolts detailed in steps 2 and 3 to secure bumper skin
(Figure 7).
9. Attach Top Brackets to top arms of mounting bracket using (2) 10mm x 30mm Hex Head Bolts, (4) 10mm Flat
Washers, and (2) 10mm Nylock Nuts per side. Tighten until slightly snug. Make sure that tab with (1) hole is
pointing downward and away from vehicle (Figure 8).
10. Fasten Grille Guard to lower end of mounting brackets, using (2) 12mm x 35mm Hex Head Bolts, (4) 12mm Flat
Washers, and (2) 12mm Nylock Nuts per side. Fasten upper support brackets to guard, using (1) 10mm x 30mm
Hex Head Bolt, (2) 10mm Flat Washers, and (1) 10mm Nylock Nut per side. Adjust guard to satisfaction and
check for hood clearance. Tighten all hardware, beginning with lower bolts and moving upward to complete
installation (Figure 9). Note: When raising Grille Guard to vehicle, use caution on Top Brackets so not to scratch
vehicle or Grille Guard.
11. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.
