1 Overview
The logged data an be downloaded via Palm Pilot te hnology to the omputer-
based software.
Configuration data an be transferred via the Palm Pilot te hnology both to the
omputer as well as from the omputer ba k to the CS-440RC.
The system an be onfigured dire tly into the CS-440RC in the vehi le or a
standard onfiguration an be generated in the omputer software and transferred
to the CS-440RC. This te hnique saves time, as mu h of the onfiguration data is
the same for all vehi les and in this manner onfiguring only needs to be done on e.

2.1 How to Configure the CS-440RC
The manual is broken down into the various omponents that make up a system,
when troubleshooting a se tion of the system go dire tly to the page overing that
parti ular se tion. (See Table of Contents.)
The following instru tions apply to all of the se tions making up a system, be oming
familiar with these steps will allow you to Configure and Set-up any individual
se tion.
To set up the CS-440RC a programming key is needed, this is to prevent
unauthorized personnel from making adjustments. Make sure only authorized staff
has a ess to the key.
Insert the key and turn same ¼ turn and the s reen to the left will appear.
Using the navigation button move the ursor to the area to be onfigured and press
the Enter button.
Pla e the ursor in front of “SYSTEM” and press the Enter button. The s reen to the
left will appear.

Contents for the proper page number and instru tion for ea h se tion.
To return to the first s reen, press the Es ape button.
