-WINTERCARE-
Fountainbowls/topsandotherfountaincomponents,whichcollect water, shouldnotbeleftoutsideinthewinter since anycomponent,
whichfillswithwater andfreezesmaycrack.Likewise, componentssuchaspedestals,whichremaininabasin,filledwithwater,
whichthenfreezes,mayalsocrackor crumble. Ideally, therefore, afountainshouldalwaysbestoredindoorsor inadryprotected
place suchasacoveredporchawayfromtheelements. However, ifafountainmustbeleftoutside:
(1) Removepump, rubber stoppers, drainpipes, finials,andother smallcomponentsfor storageindoors. Note that stoppersor
drainpipesareremovedtoallowdrainageintheeventwater accumulatesinanybasin.
(2) Raisefountainbasefromgroundwithwood stripssothat basewill notfreeze tothegroundsurface.
(3) Cover or wrapthefountainwithburlapor other absorbentmaterial (oldblanket or towel) andthencover securelywith
plastic,making surethat water will notaccumulate inthebasinor other fountaincomponentandfreeze;
(4) Checkfountainperiodicallytoensurethatplastic issecureandwater isnotaccumulating inanyfountaincomponent.
-GENERALFOUNTAINTIPS-
Install fountainsonalevel surface. Youwill needaproperlygrounded110-volt (AConly) GFCI protectedreceptaclenear the
fountainfor your pump. All pumpsaresubmersible andmustbecompletelyunderwater tofunctionproperly. Testall pumpsand
adjusttofull outputprior toassembly. Itisnotrecommendedthat fountainsbeplaceddirectlyongrass or dirt. Positionthechannel
opening at thebaseofeachfountaintoward theelectrical outlet tobeusedsince thepump
cord willbethreadedthroughthisopening.

1. Placethefiberglass basinwherethefountainistobe installed.
a. Be sure tocheckthateachpartislevel and centeredduringthe
assembly ofthisfountain.
2. Spreada thinamount ofsiliconeonboth pumpcordsapproximately3feet
fromthepumpsandfitthemintothe double holedstopper.
3. Feedthepumpcordsthroughtheholeinthebasin.
4. Toensurea level installation,makesurethatyourun theremainingcord
throughthechannel inthe bottomofthebasin.
5. Press stopperfirmlyand evenlyintotheholeofbasin.
6. Spreada thinbeadofsiliconearoundthe perimeterofthestopper, slitin
thestopper,andaroundthepumpcords.
7. Looselywrapcordsupinthecenterofthe basin.
8. Placethefountainbase(FT-193F)overthepumpsandthecords.
9. Placethelargepedestal(FT-193E)on topofthe base.
10. Position thelargebowl (FT-192E)on topofthelargepedestal(FT-193E).
11. Fit thestandpipeintothelargebowl (FT-192E).
12. Centerthesmall pedestal(FT-193C)insidethelargebowl (FT-192E).

13. Usingahoseclamp,connectthe1/2"non-kinktubingendofthe
assembledtubingtothe pipeprotrudingfromthebottomofthesmall bowl
(FT-192B).
14. Feedthetubingdownthrough thesmall bowl, largebowl, and large
pedestaltothepump.
15. Fit the 3/4"cleartubingoverthepumpoutlet.
16. Centerthesmall bowl(FT-192B)onthesmall pedestal(FT-193C)
17. Placethefinial(FT-193A)intothesmall bowl (FT-192B)byfittingthe
copperinthefinialoverthecopperinthe bowl.
18. Fit the pumpcoverdoor(FT-193G)intothepumpcover(FT-193F).
19. Position thecopingwiththe channel (FT-193H) about6inchesfromthe
basin(FGB-2030)onthesideofthefountainwherethepumpcordisto
comeout. a. NOTE:Only1ofthe6copingshasachannel
20. Position the5remainingcopings(FT-193H) inacircle about6inches
fromthebasin.
21. Carefullypusheachpieceoneattime towardthe basinandintothe notch
ofthecoping.
a. Fit eachpiecetothecopingnext toit.
22. Fill thebasinwithwater.
