-WINTERCARE-
Fountainbowls/topsandotherfountaincomponents,whichcollect water, shouldnotbeleftoutsideinthewinter since anycomponent,
whichfillswithwater andfreezesmaycrack.Likewise, componentssuchaspedestals,whichremaininabasin,filledwithwater,
whichthenfreezes,mayalsocrackor crumble. Ideally, therefore, afountainshouldalwaysbestoredindoorsor inadryprotected
place suchasacoveredporchawayfromtheelements. However, ifafountainmustbeleftoutside:
(1) Removepump, rubber stoppers, drainpipes, finials,andother smallcomponentsfor storageindoors. Note that stoppersor
drainpipesareremovedtoallowdrainageintheeventwater accumulatesinanybasin.
(2) Raisefountainbasefromgroundwithwood stripssothat basewill notfreeze tothegroundsurface.
(3) Cover or wrapthefountainwithburlapor other absorbentmaterial (oldblanket or towel) andthencover securelywith
plastic,making surethat water will notaccumulate inthebasinor other fountaincomponentandfreeze;
(4) Checkfountainperiodicallytoensurethatplastic issecureandwater isnotaccumulating inanyfountaincomponent.
-GENERALFOUNTAINTIPS-
Install fountainsonalevel surface. Youwill needaproperlygrounded110-volt (AConly) GFCI protectedreceptaclenear the
fountainfor your pump. All pumpsaresubmersible andmustbecompletelyunderwater tofunctionproperly. Testall pumpsand
adjusttofull outputprior toassembly. Itisnotrecommendedthat fountainsbeplaceddirectlyongrass or dirt. Positionthechannel
opening at thebaseofeachfountaintoward theelectrical outlet tobeusedsince thepump
cord willbethreadedthroughthisopening.

Assemble yourfountain on a levelsurface capable ofholdinga minimumof270 poundswith an approximate0.75 square
footfootprint.

1. Place thebase(FT-254F) into positionwhere thefountainwillbe
installed, ensuringthatitislevel.
2. Assemblethepumpkit.
a. NOTE:All pumps come with1 adapter already insertedinto thepump
and 2 adapters securedto thepower cord.
i. Thisfountainuses thesmalleradapter notalready inthepump.
b. Using ahoseclamp, attachthe1/2”non-kink tubingtothepump
outlet.
c. Place thestopper aroundthepumpcordapproximately6inches
fromthepump.
3. Feedthepumpcordthrough theholeandchannelinthebasin(FT-
254F).
4. FIRMLY pressthestopper intotheholeevenly.
5. Place thepumphouse(FT-254D)over thepumpandinthecenter ofthe
basin(FT-254F).
6. InserttheCPVCendofthepreassembledtubing to theCPVCcoupling
protruding fromthebottomofthewater feature (FT-254C).
7. Center thewater feature (FT-254C) over thepumphouse(FT-254D).
8. Place thewater control cap(FT-254B) intothewater feature(FT-254C).
9. Place thefountaincap(FT-254A)ontop ofthewater feature (FT-
254C).
10. Fit thepumphousedoor(FT-254E)intothepumphouse(FT-254C).
11. Fillthefountainwithwater.
