Follow the instructions herein when installing the Color UFRII Printer Kit-L1 to its
host machine.

1.2 Installation procedure
1.2.1 Installation
1. Turning Off the iR Machine
Turning Off the Main Power
To protect the hard disk against damage, be sure to go
through the following steps in sequence when turning
off the main power:
1. Hold down the control panel power switch for 3 sec
or more.
2. Follow the instructions for the shut-down sequence
shown on the screen so that the machine's main
power switch may be turned off.
3. Turn off the main power switch.
4. Disconnect the power cable (from the power out-
let).
2. Installation Procedure
1) Disconnect the connector and the cable.
- reader communications cable connector [1] (2 lo-
cations)
- DADF cable [2] (1 location)

2) Remove the rear right cover.
- 7 screws [1].

3) Remove the controller box cover [2].

4) Push the lock lever [1] to remove the boot ROM
[2].

5) Fit the included boot ROM [1] in place.

6) Connect the cables and put back the cover discon-
nected and removed in steps 2) and 3), respectively.
7) Turn on the main power switch.
8) When a message has appeared prompting you to
turn off and then on the power, perform the shut-
down sequence to turn off the main power switch,
and then turn it back on.
3. Checking the Connection
Go through the following to make sure the machine
correctly recognizes the presence of the boot ROM:
1) Check the Check Counter key [1] on the control
panel.

2) Press the Check Device Configuration key [1].

3) Check to see that'UFR II Printer KIt-L1' are indicat-
ed as accessories.
1.2.2 Installing the Soft-
ware
1. Network Setting

Check that the network setting of the host machine is
completed.

1) Press the User Mode button.
2) Press [System Additional Functions Settings].
3) Press [Network Settings].
4) Set the confirmation display for the change settings
/Display connection confirm.
5) Make <TCP/IP Settings>.

ers' Manual.
2. PC Print Confirmation Procedure (reference in-
formation)
- After installing the printer driver to a PC running
Windows 2000/XP/Server2003, you can make a
print from the PC to the iR host machine.
- You can check whether or not print from a PC is
conducted properly by executing the test page print
of the printer driver.
- To install the printer driver,
Set the LIPS LX user software CD on the CD-ROM
drive and follow the procedure which is automati-
cally activated. If the procedure is not automatically
activated, double-click Setup.exe in the CD-ROM.
For more information, see Readme.txt in the CD-
ROM.
- Use the IP address that you can obtain from User
Mode> System Additional Functions Settings >
Network Settings> TCP/IP Settings> IP Address
Settings on the control panel o If an IP address of
the iR host machine is set,
f the iR machine as a port setting of the printer driv-
er.
e.g.: Select LIPSLX PrinterDriver Setup Wizard>
Printer Information Setup> Port Setup> Add Port
and press Setup button. Select Standard TCP/IP
Port, and when the window to add a standard TCP/
IP printer port appears, enter the obtained IP ad-
dress of the iR host machine to the IP address.
To print the test page,
After installation of the printer driver is completed,
restart the PC if necessary, and then select the add-
ed printer from Start> Setup> Printer. Right-click
the mouse to indicate the menu, and then open
Property. Press the test page button in General Set-
tings tab.

For information on installation of the driver, see
"Software Guide" in the Users' Manual.
3. Installation of ScanGear
- Install ScanGear Software from Color Network
ScanGear CD-ROM to read originals from the
reader to the PC.
MEMO:
Verify that [Remote Scanner] is indicated on the con-
trol panel of the host machine.
After this kit is installed, [Remote Scanner] is indicat-
ed on the control panel.
1) Execute Setup.
2) Following the instructions given in the window, in-
put the IP address, etc., of the host machine.
3) Start up ScanGear and check if data can be read.

in the Users Manual.
- After installing this product, be sure to conduct "Au-
to Gradation Adjustment" of the host machine for col-
or adjustments.
Additional Functions>Adjustment/Cleaning>Auto
Gradation Adjustment>Full Adjust.

1.2 設置手順
1.2.1 設置手順
1. 本体の電源 OFF
主電源の切り方
主電源を切る際は、本製品のハードディスクを
保護するため以下の手順に従い行うこと。
1. 操作部電源スイッチを 3秒以上押す。
2. シャットダウンシーケンスの画面表示に従い
タッチパネルを操作し、主電源スイッチをOFF
できる状態にする。
3. 主電源スイッチを OFF する。
4. 電源ケーブル (コンセント用 )を外す。
2. 設置手順
1) クランプを開き、ケーブルを外す。
・ケーブルクランプ［1］4ヶ所
・リーダ通信ケーブル［2］1本

2) 後カバー（上）［1］を外す。
・ビス［2］7本

4) ロックレバー [1] を押して、BOOT ROM［2］
を外す。

5) 同梱の BOOT ROM［1］を取付ける。

6) 手順 1)、手順 2)、手順 3) で取外した、リーダ
通信ケーブル、クランプ、後カバー（上）を
取付ける。
7) 主電源スイッチを ON する。
8) 電源の OFF/ON を促すメッセージが表示され
るので、シャットダウンシーケンスに従い主
電源スイッチを OFF し、再度主電源スイッチ
をON する。
3. 接続の確認
下記の手順に従い、正しく認識されているか確
認する。
1) 操作パネルのカウンタ確認キー［1］を押下。

2) デバイス構成確認キー［1］を押下。

3) オプションに ”LX プリンタ＆スキャナキッ
ト・L1” と表示されることを確認する。
1.2.2 ソフトウェアのイ
ンストール
1. ネットワーク設定

本体のネットワーク設定が完了していることを
確認する。

3) [ ネットワーク設定 ]を押下
4) ネットワークの設定変更 /接続の確認表示を
ON に設定する。
5) <TCP/IP 設定 >を行う。

詳細は、ユーザーズマニュアル「ネットワーク
ガイド」を参照。
2. パソコンからの印刷確認手順 (参考情報 )
・Windows2000/XP/Server2003 のOS を使用し
ているパソコンにプリンタドライバをインス
トールすると、パソコンから本体に印刷でき
るようになる。
・パソコンからの印刷が正常に行われるかど
うかの確認は、プリンタドライバのテスト
ページ印刷で可能である。
・プリンタドライバをインストールするには、
LIPS LX ユーザーソフトウエア CD をパソコン
のCD-ROM ドライブにセットして、自動起動
した手順に従い行う。手順が自動で起動しな
い設定になっている場合は、CD-ROM 内の
Setup.exe をダブルクリックして行う。インス
トール手順詳細は、CD-ROM 内の Readme.txt
に記載されている。
・本体の IP アドレスが設定されている場合は、
本体操作部からユーザモード＞システム管理
設定＞ネットワーク設定＞ TCP/IP 設定＞ IP ア
ドレス設定で参照した IP アドレスを、プリン
タドライバのポート設定に使用する。
例：LIPSLX PrinterDriver- セットアップウィ
ザード＞プリンタ情報の設定＞ポートの設定
＞ポートの追加を選択して設定ボタンを押
す。Standard TCP/IP Port を選択して、標準 TCP/
IP プリンタポートの追加ウィザードの画面に
なったら、ポート追加のプリンタ名または IP
アドレスのボックスに、上記で調べた iR 本体
のIP アドレスを入力する。
テストページの印刷を行うには、プリンタド
ライバのインストールが完了後、必要に応じ
て、パソコンの再起動を行い、スタート＞設
定＞プリンタで追加したプリンタを選択し
て、マウス右ボタンで、メニューを出して、プ
ロパティを開く。全般タブからテストページ
のボタンを押す。

ドライバのインストールに関しては、ユーザー
ズマニュアル「ソフトウェアガイド」を参照
3. ScanGear のインストール
- Color Network ScanGear CD-ROM から、リー
ダーから原稿をパソコンに読込むための
ScanGear Software をインストールする。
MEMO:
本体操作部に [リモートスキャナ ]が表示されて
いることを確認する。本キットを導入後、本体
操作部に表示される。
1) Setup を実行する。
2) 画面に従い、本体の IP アドレス等を入力する。
3) ScanGear を起動し、データが読み込めるか確
認する。

詳細は、ユーザーズマニュアル「Color Network
ScanGear ユーザーズガイド」を参照。
- 本製品を装着後、色調整のため本体の「自動階
調補正」を行なうこと。
ユーザモード > 調整 /クリーニング > 自動階調
補整 > フル補正
