WIRING SAFETY FOR UK USE ONLY
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the
mains lead of this
appliance may not
correspond with the
coloured markings
identifying the terminals
in your plug, please
proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and must be
connected to the terminal marked [N] or coloured
black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire and
must be connected to the terminal marked [L] or
coloured red.
On no account must either the brown or the blue
wire be connected to the [EARTH] terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the same
rating already tted and conforming to BS 1362
and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable
plug tted to the mains lead and should the fuse
need replacing, you must use an ASTA approved
one (conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug - disconnect it
from the mains - and then cut it o the mains
lead and immediately dispose of its safely. Never
attempt to reuse the plug or insert it into a socket
outlet as there is a danger of an electric shock.
WARNING:
This appliance is double insulated. Do not connect any wire to the earth terminal.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE:
1. Remove your appliance from the packaging.
2. Check that there is no damage to the cord or any visible damage to the body.
3. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
Curling Basics:
1. Plug the curling tong cord into a household
outlet. Push the switch to “ON,” the
indicator light will be illuminated. The tong
will heat up very quickly. Push the switch
plate to “OFF,” and the light will go o.
WARNING! Never leave your curling tong on and
unattended.
2. Section damp or dry hair evenly, and
comb through before styling. Pressing the
automatic button and placing curling tong
midway up the hair section and spread hair
evenly between spoon and barrel. Gently
slide curling tong down to hair ends.
Note: To avoid crimped ends, make sure they
are securely wound under the spoon in the
direction of the desired curl. Remember to
always place the spoon on top of a section
when making a curl you want rolled under.
Place the spoon under the section when making
a ip style.
3. Wind the hair up as far as you want it
curled, being careful not to let the tong
touch the scalp. Hold in place for 5-8
seconds depending on the texture and
length of your hair. For tighter, bouncier
curls, roll less hair. For loose, free-owing
curls, roll more hair.
4. To remove curling tong press the automatic
curl release and pull tong away. To “set”
the curl, do not comb or brush hair until it
cools.
5. Push the power switch to the ‘OFF’
position and unplug it from the mains
outlet.
WARNING! If any malfunction occurs, DO
NOT attempt to repair it. There are no user-
serviceable parts. Only the manufacturer
or qualied service agent should repair it.
CLEANING AND CARE
1. This product is maintenance free, no
lubrication is needed.
2. Keep this appliance clean for proper
operating. It can be cleaned with a
soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive or
chemical cleaners.
3. The appliance has no user serviceable
parts, any other servicing should be
performed by an authorized service
representative or a professional centre.
4. Never allow the power cord to be
twisted, pulled, bent, or wrapped
around the product if the cord is
twisted. Untwist the cord before use.
5. Store the appliance in a cool, dry
place.
6. Ensure the appliance is completely
cool and dry before storage and
cleaning.
STORING YOUR APPLIANCE
1. Ensure the appliance is completely
cool and dry.
2. Do not wrap the cord around the
appliance, as this will cause damage.
3. Store the appliance in a cool, dry place
WARNING: The tong will get very hot within
a few seconds and should not be placed in
contact with the skin after the curling tong
is turned ON. The special application of
this curling tong will result in an extremely
hot barrel when the high setting is chosen.
Always do a test curl before using the tong
to insure the proper setting for your hair
type.
