Before using the appliance, carefully read this manual.
Units this document applies to can be used with the infrared remote control.
The instructions for the infrared remote control are contained in this manual.
The installation instructions for the unit are given in the manual for each unit.

AQUASMART remote control

The remote control operates with two IEC LR03-type 1.5 V non-
rechargeable batteries.
A fading display and reduced remote control operating range
indicate that the batteries are exhausted.
How to insert batteries
Open the sliding cover.
Turn the remote control over and remove the cover by pressing on
the plastic catch on the rear.
Insert the batteries, paying attention to the correct polarity indicated
in the battery compartment; replace and close the cover.

BEEP
The maximum operating range for the remote control is
approximately 6 m.
No obstructions (e.g. curtains or plants) should be positioned
directly between the remote control and the unit.
Direct sunlight on the unit receiver may interfere with good signal
reception.The remote control must be directed towards the unit
receiver when pressing the buttons of the desired functions.
A “beep” will indicate that the signal has been received. If the
signal has not been received, renewed transmission is necessary
by pressing any of the buttons C, D, E or F.
After receiving the “beep” signal, check the function shown on the
remote control display and adjust or modify the selection made, if
necessary.
During signal transmission symbol 1 will appear on the display
(see page 3). When symbol 1 is illuminated, it is not possible
to send other signals. In order to send a new signal, check that
symbol 1 is off.
Fix the remote control support to the wall, using the screws supplied.

When the air conditioner is not in operation, the remote control
readout will only show symbol .
Press button to start the air conditioner and the display will show
the last selected and memorised functions: the unit will operate in
accordance with the functions selected.
If the unit does not emit a “beep”signal, the switch-on signal has
not been received.
The remote control should then be turned off, pressing button
and the switch-on operation must be repeated.
To turn the air conditioner off, again press button ; the remote
control display will only show symbol (not occupied).
If the unit does not stop, turn the remote control on again pressing
button , and repeat the switch-off operation.
Positioning the air outlet louvres
(button D)
In order to optimise the air distribution in the room, the air flow
direction can be varied. By pressing button in sequence, the
position of the louvres can be selected.
Symbol on display
Automatic
The air flow direction is controlled automatically.
Manual Six positions can be selected.
The louvres can be adjusted to provide six
different air flow directions.
Swing
The louvres move continually from the top to bottom and
vice versa in order to provide improved air distribution.
Outlet louvre positioning is not possible if the remote control is in
position .
Temperature control

Down

The central control system sets a comfort zone with maximum and
minimum temperature limits.
It is possible to adjust this comfort zone in accordance with
individual requirements by pressing buttons and
(temperature increase or decrease).

Each time the button is pressed different segments on the
temperature bar graphic change to black.

Fan speed selection
(button C)
The fan speed can be selected by pressing button .
Symbol on display

(for night operation)

(to reach desired condition)
Automatic
(Fan speed will automatically be controlled for optimum
comfort).
When this function is activated, the dotted symbols light
up.
Addressing selection
In a system with several interconnected units it is possible to assign
an address to each single unit. Address selection allows several
units to be individually controlled with one remote control and
avoids possible interference with other units.
It is possible to select up to 12 addresses maximum.
For the selection proceed as follows:
•Press buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds to enter the
pre-set address selection configuration menu.
Example 1
•Pressbutton or toincreaseordecreasetheselectedaddress.
•To confirm the selection, press button .
•The remote control exits from the configuration and returns to the
previous operating mode, if no button is pressed for 30 seconds.
Remote control configuration
1) ADDRESSING SELECTION
Address selection allows correct selection of the unit type to which
the remote control is connected.
Access to the “ADDRESS CONFIGURATION”mode:
•Simultaneously press and hold down buttons (guide vanes)
and reset (this button is under the remote control cover), until
“-1”appears in the display.
•Press button (guide vanes) and then buttons or to
increase or decrease the number of selected address (1-12).
The default value is 1.
•To confirm the selection, press button .
2) UNIT TYPE SELECTION
This function allows the selection of the correct unit type to be used
with the remote control.
Access to the “UNIT CONFIGURATION”mode:
•Simultaneously press and hold down buttons (guide vanes)
and reset (this button is under the remote control cover), until
“-1”appears in the display.
•Press button to change the selection and go to the next one.
The display will show “-2”
•Press button (symbol “--”will appear in the display which
indicates that the first value in the display is unidentified) and then
press button to select the unit type (see table).

•To confirm the selection press button .
•The remote control will exit the menu “Unit type selection”, and will
return to the previous operating mode, if 30 seconds have elapsed
and no button was pushed.
3) WINDOW CONTACT SELECTION
It is possible to configure the window contact in the NO condition
(normally open) or the NC condition (normally closed).
To carry out the configuration proceed as follows:
•Simultaneously press and keep pressed buttons (louvres) and
(reset (the latter is on the remote control cover) for
approximately 5 seconds.
•Press button until “-4”appears in the display.
•Press button (louvres) to select the mode.

Troubleshooting
After inserting the batteries in the remote control, the display
does not illuminate:
•The batteries are exhausted or the polarity is incorrect; replace the
batteries or check polarity.
When pressing the start button, the unit does not acknowledge
the signal with a “beep”:
•The remote control batteries are exhausted; replace the batteries.
•The remote control has not been pointed correctly at the unit
receiver; turn the remote control off, and repeat the operation,
pointing the remote control in the correct direction.
•There are obstacles (curtains, partitions etc.) between the remote
control and the unit; repeat the operation after having removed the
obstacles.
•The receiver on the unit or the remote control is exposed to
intense sun radiation; avoid direct sunlight on the unit, draw
curtains or shut shades, or move the remote control.
•Signal transmission is obstructed by severe electromagnetic field
interference;avoid sending signals when computers or household
appliances (food processors, coffee makers etc.) are operating close by.
Cellular or cordless telephones may also interfere with the control.
When pressing the stop button, the unit does not turn OFF and
does not acknowledge the signal with a “beep”:
•The remote control batteries are exhausted; replace the batteries.
•The remote control has not been pointed correctly at the unit
receiver; turn the remote control off, and repeat the operation,
pointing the remote control in the correct direction.
•There are obstacles (curtains, partitions etc.) between the remote
control and the unit; repeat the operation after having removed the
obstacles.
•The receiver on the unit or the remote control is exposed to
intense sun radiation; avoid direct sunlight on the unit, draw
curtains or shut shades, or move the remote control.
•Signal transmission is obstructed by severe electromagnetic field
interference; avoid sending signals when computers or household
appliances (food processors, coffee makers etc.) are operating
close by. Cellular or cordless telephones may also interfere with
the control.
When pressing any function button, the remote control shows
the function requested on the display, but the unit does not
acknowledge the signal with a “beep” and does not carry out
the function:
•The remote control batteries are exhausted; replace the batteries.
•The remote control has not been pointed correctly at the unit
receiver; turn the remote control off, and repeat the operation,
pointing the remote control in the correct direction and check that
the unit emits a “beep”.
•There are obstacles (curtains, partitions etc.) between the remote
control and the unit; removed the obstacles, re-select the function
repeat the operation, pointing the remote control in the correct
direction and check that the unit emits a “beep”.
•The receiver on the unit or the remote control is exposed to
intense sun radiation; avoid direct sunlight on the unit, draw
curtains or shut shades, or move the remote control.
•Signal transmission is obstructed by severe electromagnetic field
interference;avoid sending signals when computers or household
appliances (food processors, coffee makers etc.) are operating
close by. Cellular or cordless telephones may also interfere with
the control.
The remote control display does not change when any button
is pressed:
•The triangle symbol 1 , is ON, whilst another signal is being
transmitted; wait for the signal 1 to disappear and then repeat
the operation.
Configuration of the remote control and troubleshooting
•Press button or to go from mode“0”(open) to mode “C”
(closed).
•To confirm the selection, press button .
•To exit from the programming mode do not press any other button
for 30 seconds.
4) BOOSTER HEATING SELECTION
This function is not available.
5) APPLICATION TYPE SELECTION
(2 pipes/4 pipes)
With this function the application type can be selected:
2 pipes The unit is provided with a single valve which supplies hot
water for heating in winter, but cold water for cooling in
summer.
4 pipes The unit is provided with two valves (hot water valve and
cold water valve).
To carry out the configuration proceed as follows:
•Simultaneously press and keep pressed buttons (louvres) and
(reset; this is on the remote control cover) for approximately
5 seconds.
•Press button until “-6”appears in the display.
•Press button (louvres) to select the mode.
•Press button or to go from mode “P2”(2 pipes) to mode
“P4”(4 pipes).
•To confirm the selection, press button .
•To exit from the programming mode do not press any other button
for 30 seconds.
