TRUNK MOUNT BIKE CARRIER
NOTE: Please read instructions carefully before installation.
Please refer to assembly instructions, and ensure the bike carrier is installed
correctly.
Please keep the instruction manual in your vehicle for future reference.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
• Do not use the bike carrier for off-road purposes.
• Do not load tandems or recumbents on this bike carrier.
• Do not install this bike carrier on a trailer or other towed vehicles.
• Inspect the bike carrier before and after loading the bicycles for damaged or missing components. If
problems are detected, discontinue use and seek repair or replacement parts prior to use.
• Check for tightness of the straps and adjustable hubs at regular intervals, as the bicycle may shift
during travel. Inspect more frequently when travelling on bumpy roads.
• Some states/provinces may not allow the licence plate to be obstructed.
Please check with your local ministry of transportation for more information.
• Do not use rear wipers on the vehicle when the bike carrier is mounted to the rear of the vehicle.
• Do not wash the vehicle or use an automatic car wash while the bike carrier is mounted on the
vehicle.
NEVER EXCEED THE MAXIMUM LOAD CAPACITY OF THE BIKE CARRIER.
WEIGHT LIMIT: 132 lb (60 kg).
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THE SAFE AND PROPER USE OF THIS PRODUCT.
Improper attachment or misuse of the bike carrier may damage the bike carrier, bicycles loaded on the carrier, the
vehicle carrying the carrier, or vehicles moving behind, and may result in HAZARDOUS situations due to possible collision
or swerving of your vehicle.
READ AND FOLLOW THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE BIKE CARRIER.

WARRANTY/ GARANTIE
LIMITED WARRANTY
This product has a one (1) year limited warranty from the original date of purchase against defects in material
or workmanship.
EXCLUSIONS
The warranty will not apply if the product is modified, damaged or misused. Any and all implicit warranties,
including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, shall not exceed in
duration the term of limited warranty. In no event shall the manufacturer or the distributor be liable for
incidental or consequential damages.
WARRANTY CLEANING AND STORAGE
• Wipe the bike carrier with a damp cloth and mild detergent after every use and before storage.
• Loosen the adjustable hub and fold the upper and lower support legs to collapse the bike carrier for storage.
• Store the bike carrier indoors and in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION
Some vehicles may not support the bike carrier.
This bike carrier is designed in such a way that the paint of the vehicle will not be damaged if the
carrier is properly mounted on the vehicle.
• Always secure your bicycle(s) to the bike carrier using the 80” (2 m) cam buckle cargo
strap (included), additional rope or shock cords (not included).
• NEVER load more than three bicycles (totalling 132 lb [60 kg]) on the bike carrier.
• Do not use worn or damaged straps. Replace the worn strap immediately.
• Do not allow the bicycle tires to hang near the exhaust pipe of the vehicle. The hot exhaust could
melt and destroy the tires.
• While installing the bike carrier, ensure that the strap hooks do not come in contact with the roof
rail if present on the vehicle. The hooks from the straps could damage the roof rails.
• To prolong the life of the bike carrier, remove it from the vehicle when not in use.

The illustration shown below depicts the installation of the bike carrier on different vehicle styles. Install the bike
carrier according to the fitment configuration that best conforms to your vehicle.
Note: Carefully wipe down the rear surfaces of the vehicle with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris to prevent
scratching of the vehicle.
Fit one end of the cradle strap (L) onto each
cradle (K) of the rack arm, and one end of a second
cradle strap to each anti-sway cage (1).
Note: Ensure that the cradle strap is fitted on the
single peg side of the cradle.

After setting the position, tighten the adjustable
hubs (B) by rotating the knobs (C) clockwise
. Ensure
the hub teeth are fully engaged. B

CAUTION:
To avoid damage to the vehicle, ensure the lower support leg does not
rest on the rear bumper of the vehicle.

Insert the hooks of the two side straps (G) into the
body gap on the outer edge of the trunk, hatch or
rear door. Make sure the side straps are at an angle
of 90° from the outer edge of the trunk.
Slide the hooks along the body gap until the strap
is taut at the shortest distance. Tighten the strap in
place.

CAUTION:
• Make sure all the strap hooks are attached to the metal frame of
the trunk and not on the fiberglass, plastic or rear glass of the vehicle.
• Be sure that the straps do not rub against any sharp objects that could
cut or damage them.

Insert the hooks of the two upper straps (F) into
the slots at the leading edge of the trunk or hatch
lid of the vehicle. Make sure the
rack arms (A) are
positioned at an angle of about 15º with respect to
the ground
.
Tighten the upper straps until the bike
carrier holds its position.

Loosen the two adjustable hubs (B) by rotating
the two knobs (C) counterclockwise. Separate the
two halves of each hub (B) and pull the rack arms
upwards.

Position the bike carrier so that the upper support
legs (D) rest on the top of the vehicle's trunk. Adjust the
angle of the upper support leg so that the end of the
rack arms (A) are slightly tilted inwards, towards the
vehicle.

WARNING:
Be cautious while adjusting the position of upper support leg, as it may
touch the rear glass of the vehicle.

Place the bicycles in alternating directions on the bike
cradles (K) of the bike support arms.
Note: Position of the bicycles will vary according to the
type of bicycle and size of the bicycle frame.
Note: Load the largest, heaviest bicycles closest to the
vehicle. If mounting two bicycles or less, leave the
outermost rack spaces empty.

Securely tighten all straps.

Note: Adjust the bike cradle and anti-sway cage (1)
according to the bicycle geometry. The cradles can be
rotated and slide up/down with respect to the rack arm.
Note: The hooks of the lower straps (H) can also be
attached under the bumper or to metal frame parts
under the vehicle.

Insert the hooks of the two lower straps (H) into the
slots provided in the bottom edge of the trunk or
hatch. Tighten all straps until they are snug-fit in
position.

CAUTION:
• Secure the bicycle pedal in such a way to prevent the vehicle from being
scratched.
• It is recommended to use extra shock cords or ropes (not included) on the
bicycles to prevent turning or swaying of the bicycle tires, frames or pedals.
• Do not allow the bicycle tires to hang near the exhaust pipe of the vehicle.
The hot exhaust could melt and destroy the tires.
• Check for tightness of the hook straps and adjustable hubs at regular
intervals, as the straps may loosen and the bicycle may shift during travel.
Inspect more frequently when travelling on bumpy roads.
• Remove the bike carrier from the vehicle when not in use to avoid
additional wear on both the vehicle and the carrier.

OPERATION
Note: For maximum security, it is recommended that a
simple knot be tied at the end of the buckle of the
80" (2 m) cam buckle cargo strap (blue) (I).

Pull and wind the loose end of the 80" (2 m) cam buckle
cargo strap (blue) (I) around the upper support leg (D)
and the bicycle frame. Insert the strap end into its buckle
to secure the bicycle onto the bike carrier.
Note: Make sure the 80" (2 m) cam buckle cargo strap
(blue) is spirally wound around the bicycle frames.

Secure the seat post tube (2) of the bicycle to the
anti-sway cage (1) of the bike cradle using the
cradle strap (L).

Secure the bicycle frames with the bike cradle (K)
using the cradle strap (L).
Note: Ensure that the cradle strap is firmly secured to
one of the two pegs, whichever is more suitable for
a secure fit.
