• Make sure that themains lead does not drape over theedge
of thetable or worktop. Make sure that thelead does not
come into contact with hot surfaces such as cooker hobs.
• Always unplug thetoaster from thepower point before
cleaning it or when it is not to be used for along time.
• Never immerse thetoaster in water.
• If aslice of bread gets stuck in thetoaster, unplug thetoaster
and let it cool before trying to remove thebread. Dislodge
thebread using awooden or plastic utensil to avoid damaging
theheating element.
• Never subject thetoaster to rough treatment, such as knocks
and blows.
• Do not pull or carry thetoaster by thelead.
• Thetoaster should only be used and stored indoors.
• Do not use thetoaster if its mains lead or plug is damaged.
• Do not use thetoaster if it is in any way damaged, has parts
missing or does not seem to work properly.
• Do not open thecasing. Dangerous voltages are present
on certain unshielded components. Contact with these
components could result in electric shock.
• Never place anything on top of thetoaster.
• Thetoaster should only be repaired by qualified service
technicians using original spare parts.
• Thetoaster should not be disassembled or modified.
• Toast can start to burn, so theproduct should not be placed
close to or beneath flammable materials such as curtains.
• Never use theproduct together with atimer switch, multi-socket
extension lead or similar device.
• Before cleaning theproduct, make sure that it has cooled and
is unplugged. Empty and clean thecrumb tray regularly. Use
asoft, damp cloth to clean thehousing. Never use solvents or
abrasive cleaning agents.
• If themains lead is damaged in any way it must be replaced
by aqualified electrician.
