With this VTA-Lifter (2) you are able to adjust very comfortable the VTA (Vertical Tracking Angle) of your
tonearm in an accurate and ecient way.
As we developed this product we attached great importance to high quality, functionality and easy handling.
Please take a moment to read this owner’s manual to ensure a correct set up and to avoid any possible
damage.

Please store the original packaging in case of transportation and shipping.

2. Installation on Clearaudio turntables
2.1. Installation on a Solution base
For the installation please remove the tonearm and the base from your turntable.
Fit the VTA-Lifter (2) from above through the hole of the base.

Please mount the VTA-Lifter (2) with the lever rearwards (see pic 2).
Tighten the VTA-Lifter (2) with the delivered cylinder head bolts and the hex key wrench (3 x 8) on the
bottom side of the Solution – base (see pic. 3).
Now you can mount the Solution base on the turntable chassis again.
2.2. Tonearm set up (only for Clearaudio Radial tonearms)
To install a Clearaudio radial tonearm (e.g. Unify, Satisfy and Universal) please pull the cable carefully
trough the hole of the VTA-Lifter (2).
After you have set up the tonearm into the hole please make sure that the tonearm is exactly on the line
between “+” and “-“(top view) (see pic. 3) on the VTA-Lifter (2).

Now turn the level completely to the “+” side, to tighten the tonearm with the two (2) delivered maggots
screws (see pic. 4 + 5) on the side of the VTA-Lifter (2).

2.3 Height adjustment
To adjust the height of the tonearm turn the level either to the right side
(marked with a “+”) to heighten the tonearm or to the left side (marked
wit a “-“) to reduce the height of the tonearm. With the new VTA-Lifter
(2) you can adjust the height even while you are playing music.
Tighten the
VTA-Lifter (2) with the delivered cylinder head bolts and the hex key wrench (3 x 8) bottom side
of the Champion – base (see pic. 8).
Now you can mount the Champion base on the turntable chassis.
To nish the installation please proceed further as described before.

For the installation please remove the tonearm and the base from your turntable.
Fit the VTA-Lifter (2) from above through the hole of the base.

2.5 Installation on other turntables
To install the
VTA-Lifter on the turntable chassis, you will need to drill the required holes.
Please refer to the drilling template shown below (Picture 8) for the measurements to mark the exact drilling
holes.
Please be informed, that this drawing is not suitable for use as a mounting tool.
Use a 3.2mm HSS drill bit.
Please note:
This drilling template is only for 9 inch tonearms. You will nd the the correct pivot to spindle
in the user manual of the tonearm.

1. Lieferumfang
Die clearaudio VTA-Lifter verlässt unsere Fertigung in einer besonders sicheren und auf das Produkt
abgestimmten Verpackung, die einen sicheren Transport garantiert.
Bitte bewahren Sie diese Verpackung für den Fall eines Transports auf.
Kontrollieren Sie den Lieferumfang Ihrer neu erworbenen clearaudio VTA-Lifter gemäß unten aufgeführter
Übersicht:

2. Installation auf clearaudio-Laufwerken
2.1 Installation auf einer Solution Basis (Tropfenbasis)
Bitte montieren Sie zuerst Ihren Tonarm und Ihre Tonarmbasis von Ihrem Laufwerk.
Schieben Sie den
VTA-Lifter (2) von oben durch die Önung der Basis.

Bitte achten Sie hierbei darauf, das der Hebel nach hinten zeigt (Abb. 2).
Drehen Sie die Solution Basis um und schrauben Sie den VTA-Lifter (2) mit den drei mitgelieferten
Zylinderkopfschrauben (3 x 8) an der Unterseite der Basis handfest an (Abb. 3).
Nun können Sie die Tonarmbasis wieder auf Ihr Laufwerkschassis montieren.
2.2. Einbau des Tonarms
Nehmen Sie nun den Tonarm (clearaudio Satisfy , Unify oder Universal) mit RCA-Verkabelung und führen
Sie das Kabel vorsichtig durch die Önung im VTA-Lifter (2).
Nachdem Sie den Tonarm eingesetzt haben, stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass sich das Tonarmrohr, von oben
betrachtet, genau auf der Linie zwischen dem „+“ und dem „-“ Zeichen auf dem VTA-Lifter (2) bendet (siehe
Abb.4).

Bevor Sie den Tonarm und den VTA-Lifter (2) miteinander verschrauben drehen Sie den Hebel komplett zur
markierten “+” Seite. Die Befestigung kann nun mit den zwei mitgelieferten Madenschrauben an den Seiten
des VTA-Lifter s (2) erfolgen (siehe Abb. 4 + 5).

2.3 Höhenverstellung
Um nun die Höhe des Tonarms einzustelllen, drehen Sie den Hebel
entweder zur rechten Seite (markiert mit “+”), um den Lifter anzuheben
oder zur linken Seite (markiert mit “-“), um den Lifter abzusenken.
Mit dem neuen VTA-Lifter (2) können Sie die Höhenanpassung Ihres
Tonarms sogar während des Abspielens durchführen!
Drehen Sie die Champion Basis um und schrauben Sie den
VTA-Lifter (2) mit den drei mitgelieferten
Zylinderkopfschrauben (3 x 8) an der Unterseite der Basis handfest an (Abb. 8).
Nun können Sie die Tonarmbasis auf Ihr Laufwerkschassis montieren.
Für den weiteren Aufbau verfahren Sie bitte wie auf den Seiten zuvor beschrieben.

2.4. Installation auf einer Champion Basis (Rundbasis)
Bitte montieren Sie zuerst Ihren Tonarm und Ihre Tonarmbasis von Ihrem Laufwerk.
Schieben Sie den VTA-Lifter (2) von oben durch die Önung der Basis.

2.5. Installation auf Laufwerken anderer Hersteller
Um den VTA-Lifter auf dem Laufwerkchassis anbringen zu können, müssen erst die Bohrungen zur Befestigung
angebracht werden. Die Maße zum Anzeichnen der exakten Bohrlochabstände entnehmen Sie bitte der unten
abgebildeten Bohrschablone (siehe Abb. 9).
Bitte beachten Sie, dass diese Abbildung nicht maßstabsgetreu ist.
Verwenden sie für die Bohrungen einen 3,3 mm HSS-Spiralbohrer.
Bitte beachten:
Diese Bohrschablone ist nur für 9 Zoll Tonarme geeignet.
Den korrekten Achsabstand Tellerspindel zu Tonarmdrehpunkt für längere Tonarme entnehmen
Sie bitte der entsprechenden Anleitung.

3. Besondere Hinweise
Konnten Sie das clearaudio Produkt trotz Handhabung laut der Bedienungsanleitung nicht korrekt installieren
oder haben Sie noch weitere Fragen, wenden Sie sich bitte zunächst an Ihren clearaudio Fachhändler.
Erst wenn dort der Fehler bestätigt und nicht behoben werden kann, senden Sie das Produkt bitte an unten
