2. DREHMOMENTEINSTELLUNG
Das Werkzeug vom Druckluftnetz trennen.
- Bei4ktAusführung mit einemSchlüsselSW19(3/4") das Verdrehen
des Hydro-Rotors <58> verhindern.
- Bei Schnellwechselausführung durch axiales Verschieben und Ein-
rastenderHülse<83>das VerdrehendesHydro-Rotorsverhindern.
- Mit Schraubendreher <87> Ventilschraube <74> entgegen dem
Uhrzeigersinn auf Anschlag in Min-Md-Einstellung bringen.

- Durch ca. 0 - 4 Umdrehungen im Uhrzeigersinn das gewünschte
Anziehmoment (90 - 160 Nm) einstellen.
- Durch Verdrehen des Gewindestiftes <33> im Drücker, besteht die
Möglichkeit mit Hilfe des Schraubendrehers <88> die Abschalt-
genauigkeit des Werkzeuges zu verbessern.
- Gewindestift <33> entgegen Uhrzeigersinn auf Grundeinstellung (
Max-Einstellung ) bringen.
- Im Uhrzeigersinn erfolgt eine Kapazitätssenkung.

3. INSPEKTION UND WARTUNG
Achtung!
Um Ausfälle zu verhindern, ist regelmäßig
- der Ölstand in der Impuls-Einheit zu überprüfen
- nach ca. 500 Betriebsstunden, mindestens jedoch einmal in 12 Mo-
naten ein Ölwechsel bei der Impuls-Einheit <44> vorzunehmen und
der Dichtungssatz <89> zu erneuern.
4. WAS TUN, WENN...
...keine Abschaltung erfolgt?
- ist der Fließdruck zu niedrig?
- ist die Md-Einstellung überprüft?
- ist genügend Öl in der Impuls-Einheit?
- ist eine federnde Schraubverbindung (z.B. Verlängerung, Dehn-
schraube) vorhanden?
- ist die lichte Weite der Luftanschlußteile zu klein?
- ist Gewindestift <33> in Stellung Min-Kapazität?
...die Md-Streuung zu großist?
- ist der Fließdruck zu hoch?
- ist Luft in der Impuls-Einheit?
- ist Gewindestift <33> in Stellung Max-Kapazität?
5. REPARATURANLEITUNG
5.1 DEMONTAGE DES TRIEBWERKS
- WerkzeugamPistolengriff<1>ineinenSchraubstockmitKunststoff-
backen satt einspannen.
- Gehäuse <82> entgegen Uhrzeigersinn mit Bandschlüssel lösen
und komplett abziehen.
- Senkschraube <13> und Umschaltknopf <14> entfernen.
- Sicherungsring <43> entfernen.
- Triebwerkseinheit horizontal am Sechskant des Rotors <36> in
Schraubstock einspannen.
- Triebwerk komplett herausziehen.
- DurchBetätigen derSchaltstange<37>,isteinaxialesAbziehender
Abschalteinheit von Hand möglich.
- ggf. Rotor <36> aus Rillenkugellager <27> auspressen.
Umdrehungen der Ventilschraube <74>
5.2 DEMONTAGE DER IMPULS-EINHEIT
Nurzulässig,wennBefüllen mitÖl-Befülleinrichtung<A>
gewährleistetist,Impuls-EinheitmußaufRaumtemperatur
abgekühlt sein.
- O-Ring <80> entfernen.
- Impuls-Einheit <44> aus dem Gehäuse <82> ausbauen.
- Hydr.-Zylinder <67> an Schlüsselflächen in glatten Schraubstock-
backen fixieren.
UmeineGefährdungvonGesundheitundUmweltauszu-
schließen, gelten in jedem Fall die örtlichenSicherheits-
und Unfallverhütungsvorschriften.
- Lagerring <45> mit Vorrichtung <C> entfernen.
- Verschlußschraube <68> lösen.
- Impuls-Einheit aus Schraubstock ausspannen.
- Verschlußschraube <68> über Öl-Auffangwanne entfernen und Im-
puls-Einheit durch leichten Druck auf Hydr.-Rotor <58> trennen.
Hydr.-Lamelle steht unter Federkraft!
- In Hydr.-Rotor eingebaute Teile durch Entfernen der beiden
Sicherungsringe <53> ausbauen.
- Alle Teile reinigen.
Achtung!
GrundsätzlichnurGARDNER-DENVER-Original-Ersatz-
teile verwenden. Sie laufen sonst Gefahr, daßdie
Werkzeugleistung nachläßt und ein größerer Wartungs-
aufwandnotwendigist.Beieingebauten,fabrikatfremden
Ersatzteilen,ist derWerkzeugherstellerberechtigt,sämt-
licheGewährleistungsverpflichtungenfürnichtigzuerklä-
ren.

5.3 MONTAGE DER IMPULS-EINHEIT
- Die Montage ist in umgekehrter Reihenfolge wie die Demontage
gemäß der Ersatzteilzeichnung durchzuführen.
- Richtige Einbaulage des Hydr.-Zylinders <67> zu den beiden
Hydr.Lamellen<60> unddenbeidenSteuerlamellen<57>und<62>
beachten (6. Montagehinweise, Bild 1 - 11).
- Zur Vereinfachung ist die Vorrichtung <D> zu verwenden (Bild 2).
- Gewindering <45> mit Vorrichtung <C> und Drehmomentschlüssel
auf gefordertes Drehmoment anziehen (Bild 12).
Achtung!
Nicht verspannen, da es sonst bei Hydr.-Zylinder <67>
und Innenteilen zu Funktionsschwierigkeiten kommen
kann.
-Öl-Befüllung gemäß 5.5 durchführen.
5.4 BEFÜLLEN MIT ÖL-BEFÜLLEINRICHTUNG <A>
- Demontage der Verschlußschraube <68>.
- Ventilschraube <74> auf Min-Einstellung.
- Impuls-Einheit mit Hilfe der Injektionsspritze <B> mit ESSO UNIVIS
J26 vorfüllen.
5.4.1 Impuls-Einheit entsprechend Darstellung über die Schnell-
kupplung anschließen.
5.4.2 Absperrorgan im Uhrzeigersinn schließen.
5.4.3 Versorgungsdruck ca. 5 bar anschließen.
5.4.4 Absperrorgan langsam ganz öffnen, bis das Manometer
einen Unterdruck von -0,95 bis -1 bar anzeigt.
5.4.5 Ca. 2 Minuten warten, bis sich die Anzahl der Vakuumblasen
deutlich verringert hat.
5.4.6 Absperrorgan langsam schließen. Das Manometer zeigt
wieder Atmosphärendruck an, fehlendes Öl wird in die
Impuls-Einheit gedrückt.
5.4.7 Den Vorgang 5.4.4 bis 5.4.6 wiederholen bis Blasenbildung
gegen Null läuft.

- Impuls-Einheit abkuppeln und mit der Verschlußschraube <68>
verschließen.
- Abschaltstift <52> ziehen und mit Injektionsspritze die dahinter-
liegende Abschaltkammer blasenfrei füllen.
- Abschaltstift <52> wieder montieren.
Anmerkung: Kleinere Blasen, die bei hohem Unterdruck in der
Benetzungsschicht zwischen Öl und Materialien sichtbar
werden, stellen keine Undichtheit der Impulseinheit dar.
DasBefüllergebniswirddadurchnichtnegativbeeinflußt.
5.5 MONTAGE DES TRIEBWERKS
- Rotordeckel<28>mitRillenkugellager<27>aufRotor<36>pressen
(6. Montagehinweise, Bild 13).
- Axialspiel des Rotors überprüfen.
- Zur Vereinfachung ist die Montagevorrichtung <E> zu verwenden.
- O-Ring <23> mit O-Ring-Fett leicht einfetten.
- Aus Montagegründen sind die Stifte <39> und <40> ebenfalls
einzufetten.
- Montage der Triebwerksteile (7. Ersatzteilzeichnung).
Achtung!
Kugeln <34>, Druckfeder <29>, Schaltbolzen <30> und
Schaltstange <37> nicht einfetten und nicht ölen.
- Sicherungsring <43> in Pistolengehäuse <1> so montieren, daß
Öffnung im Deckel <41> nicht abgedeckt wird.
- Umschaltknopf <14> montieren.

2. TORQUE ADJUSTMENT
Disconnect air hose before adjustment.
- For square drive models hold the output shaft <58> from turning, by
using a SW19 (3/4") wrench.
- Forquickchangechuckmodelsholdtheoutputshaftfromturning,by
pushing locking sleeve <83> forward.
- Using Allen key <87>, turn adjusting screw <74> counterclockwise
untilthestopisreached.Thisrepresentstheminimumtorquesetting.

- Turning the adjusting screw clockwise approx. 0 - 4 full turns will
adjust the tool for max. torque range: 90 - 160 Nm (66 - 118 lbf.ft).
- Improve the precision of tool switch-off by turning the set bolt <33>
in the push-button with the Allen key <88>.
- Turn the set bolt <33> counterclockwise to set the basic adjustment
(max. adjustment).
- Turn the set bolt clockwise to decrease the capacity.
3. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
Caution!
In order to avoid failures
- check regularly the oil level of the pulse unit <44> and
- do oil change after approx. 500 hours' operation or at least every 12
months and renew gasket set <89>.
4. WHAT TO DO, IF...
...there is no shut-off?
- Is the dynamic air pressure too low or high?
- Has torque adjustment been checked?
- Is enough oil inside the pulse unit?
- Isit afloatingconnection(e.g.withextension,reducedshaftbolt)?
- Is the inside diameter of the air connectors too small?
- Is the set bolt <33> in position "min. capacity"?
...the torque scatter is too wide?
- Is the flow pressure too high?
- Is there air inside the pulse unit?
- Is the set bolt <33> in position "max. capacity"?
5. REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS
5.1 MOTOR DISASSEMBLY
- Clamp the pistol grip <1> of the tool in a soft-jawed vise.
- Use a strap wrench to remove housing <82> counterclockwise and
pull off.
- Remove flat head screw <13> and the reverse button <14>.
- Remove retaining ring <43>.
- Use the hex of the rotor spindle <36> to clamp unit horizontally in a
vise.
- Pull off the motor.
- By applying the actuating rod <37> you can manually pull off the
switch-off unit in axial direction.
- Press rotor <36> from grooved ball bearing <27>.
5.2 DISMOUNTING THE PULSE UNIT
Disassembly should only occur if the oil filler unit <A> is
available! Pulse unit has to be at room temperature.
- Remove o-ring <80>.
- Dismounting pulse unit <44> from the housing <82>.
- Clamp the hydraulic cylinder <67> slightly in a vise with flat chops.
To avoid endangering health or the environment, study
andcomplywithallFederal,StateandLocalRegulations.
- Loosen threaded ring <45> with device <C>.
- Loosen lock screw <68>.
- Open the vise and remove the hydraulic cylinder.
- Remove lock screw <68> over an oil pan and dismount pulse unit by
applying light pressure on hydraulic rotor <58>.
Hydraulic blades are spring loaded!
- Disassemble remaining parts of the hydraulic rotor by removing the
two retaining rings <53>.
- Clean all parts.

5.3 MOUNTING THE PULSE UNIT
- Reassemble by reversing the disassembly process as shown in the
part drawing.
- Pleasenotepositionof the hydrauliccylinder<65>andits relation to
thehydraulic blades<60>andthetwocontrolblades <57>and<62>
(6. Assembly Instructions, figs. 1 to 11).
- Use of device <D> is recommended to simplify reassembly (fig. 2).
- Tighten the threaded ring <45> to the required torque (fig. 12) using
the device <C> and torque wrench.
Caution!
Excessive vise clamping force may cause operating
problems of the hydraulic cylinder <67> and the inside
parts.
- Oil filling according to 5.4.
5.4 FILLING OF THE PULSE UNIT WITH OIL FILLER <A>
- Remove lock screw <68> from pulse unit.
- Turntorqueadjustingscrew<74> clockwise2turnsfrommin.torque
setting.
- Fill pulse unit with injector <B> with ESSO UNIVIS J26.
5.4.1 Connect pulse unit to oil filler unit via quick-action coupling
shown on drawing.
5.4.2 Close shut-off valve in clockwise direction.
5.4.3 Supply air pressure approx. 5 bar (73 psi).
5.4.4 Slowly open shut-off valve until pressure gauge shows
vacuum of -0.95 to -1 bar (-13,8 to -14.5 psi).
5.4.5 Wait approx. 2 min until most of the air bubbles have
escaped.
5.4.6 Now close shut-off valve slowly. Pressure gauge shows
atmospheric pressure again and the missing oil is forced into
the pulse unit.
5.4.7 Repeat filling procedure 5.4.4 to 5.4.6 until no bubbles are
formed.

- Disconnect pulse unit from filler unit and tighten lock screw <68>.
- Pull out shut-off pin <52> and fill shut-off chamber with oil injector
avoiding air bubble formation.
- Remount shut-off pin <52>.
Remarks: Small bubbles appearing at high vacuum pressure in the
wetting layer between the oil and the material are not
indicating leakage of the pulse unit. The filling result will
not be affected thereby.
5.5 MOTOR MOUNTING
- Press end plate <28> with bearing <27> on rotor <36>.
- Check axial movement of the rotor as shown on (6. Assembly
Instructions, fig. 13).
- For ease of assembly use device <E>.
- Apply a little o-ring grease to the o-ring <23>.
- Grease pins <39> and <40>.
- Reassemble motor (7. Spare parts exploded view).
Caution!
Do not grease and lubricate balls <34>, compression
spring <29>, bolt <30> and actuating rod <37>, to avoid
reducing torque adjustment.
- Mount the retaining ring <43> in the pistol housing <1>. Be sure not
to cover the opening in the end plate <41>.
- Mount the reverse button <14>.
The motor may only turned on with impuls unit <44>.

2. RÉGLAGE DE COUPLE
Débrancher l'outil du réseau d'air comprimé.
- Pour les visseuses équipées d' un carré, une cléhexagonale de
19 (3/4") permet d'éviter une rotation de l'arbre hydraulique <58>.
- Pour les visseuses équipées d' un mandrin àchangement rapide,
l'avance axiale et l'encliquetage de la douille <83> permet d'éviter
une rotation de l'arbre hydraulique.
- Avec le tournevis <87> tourner la vis de soupape <74> dans le sens
anti-horaire et la régler sur la butée en position de couple minimum.
- Le couple de vissage souhaité(90 - 160 Nm) se règle par environ 0
à4 tours dans le sens horaire.
- Possibilitéd'arrêter avec une meilleure précision le fonctionnement
de l'outil en tournant la vis sans tête <33> dans le poussoir avec le
tournevis <88>.
- Tournerlavissanstête<33>danslesensinversedesaiguillesd'une
montre pour l'amener dans sa position de base (réglage maximum).
- Pourréduiresapuissance,latournerdanslesensdesaiguillesd'une
montre.
3. SURVEILLANCE ET ENTRETIEN
Attention!
Pour éviter des pannes
- verifierregulièrementleniveaud'huiledansl'unitéd'impulsion <44>
et
- faire vidange après environ 500 heures de service, mais au moins
une fois tous les 12 mois et renouveler le joint d'étanchéité<89>.

- La pression d'écoulement est-elle trop élevée?
- Y a-t-il de l'air dans l'unitéd'impulsions?
- Lavissanstête<33>est-elleenpositiondepuissancemaximum?
5. INSTRUCTIONS DE RÉPARATION
5.1 DÉMONTAGE DU MÉCANISME D'ENTRAÎNEMENT
- Bien serrer la poignée pistolet <1> de la machine dans un étau
équipéde mors en plastique.
- Desserrer le carter <82> avec une cléàsangle et le retirer
complètement.
- Enlever la vis noyée <13> et le bouton de réversibilité<14>.
-Démonter la bague de sécurité<43>.
- Serrer l'unitédu mécanisme d'entraînement verticalement par
l'hexagone de l'arbre <36> dans l'étau.
<..> = Index pour pièces détachées ou dispositifs, voir 8. Liste de
pièces de rechange et 9. Liste de commande des dispositifes
-Démonter complètement le mécanisme d'entraînement.
- Encommandantle barredemanouvre<37> onpeutretireràlamain
l'initéde coupure dans le sens axial.
- Sinécessaire,extrairelerotor<36>duroulementàbillesrainuré<27>.
5.2 DÉMONTAGE DE L'UNITÉD'IMPULSIONS
Seulementautorisésileremplissageavec ledispositifde
remplissage <A> est garanti. Il faut adapter l'unité
d'impulsions àla température ambiante.
- Retirer le joint torique <80>.
-Démonter l'unitéd'impulsions <44> du carter <82>.
- Fixer les surfaces du cylindre hydraulique <67> dans des mors
d'étau lissés.
Pourévitertoutdangerpourlasantéou l'environnement,
ilfautrespectertouteslesconsignesdesécuritégénérales
et locales applicables ainsi que les consignes en cas
d'accident.
- Desserrer la bague filetée <45> avec le dispositif <C>.
- Desserrer la vis de fermeture <68>.
-Démonter l'unitéd'impulsions dans l'étau.
- Desserrer la vis de fermeture <68> et démonter l'unitéd'impulsions
placéeau-dessusducartercollecteurd'huileenexerçantunelégère
pression le rotor hydraulique <58>.
Les palettes hydrauliques sont sous pression avec un
ressort!
- En enlevant les deux bagues de sécurité<53>, il est possible de
démonter les autres pièces.
- Nettoyer les pièces.
Attention!
N'utiliser que les pièces d'origine GARDNER-DENVER.
Dans le cas contraire, la puissance de l'outil peut être
diminuée ou un entretien plus coûteux serait nécessaire.
L'utilisation de pièces provenant d'autres constructeurs
justifie le refus de la garantie par GARDNER-DENVER.

5.3 MONTAGE DE L'UNITÉD'IMPULSIONS
- Le montage se fait en sens inverse, par rapport au démontage,
suivant le dessin des pièces de rechange.
- Faireattentionàce quelaposition ducylindre<65> soitcorrectepar
rapport aux palette hydraulique <60> et les deux lames de contrôle
<57> et <62> (6. Instructions de montage, figures 1 à11).
- Poursimplifierlemontage,ilestaussipossibled'utiliserundispositif
d'emmanchement <D>.
- Serrer la bague filetée <45> avec il dispositif <C> e un clé
dynamométrique jusqu' àce que le couple demandésoit atteint
(fig. 12).
Attention!
Pas de gauchissement pour éviter des problèmes de
fonctionnementducylindrehydraulique<67>etlesparts
d'intérieurs.
- Remplissage d'huile selon point 5.4.
5.4 REMPLISSAGE AVEC LE DISPOSITIF DE REMPLISSAGE
D'HUILE <A>
-Démonter la vis de fermeture <68>.
- Tourner la vis de réglage <74> d'environ 2 tours de la position
minimale.
- Remplir l'unitéd'impulsions avec un injecteur <B> avec ESSO
UNIVIS J26.
5.4.1 Raccorder l'unitéd'impulsions au moyen de l'accouplement
instantanéselon le dessin.
5.4.2 Fermer la soupape d'arrêt dans le sens horaire.
5.4.3 Raccorder la pression d'alimentation d'environ 5 bars.
5.4.4 Ouvrir la soupape d'arrêt lentement jusqu' àce que le
manomètre indique la dépression de -0.95 jusqu' à-1 bar.
5.4.5 Attendre environ 2 min. jusqu' àce que les bulles d'air soient
presque échappées.
5.4.6 Fermer la soupape d'arrêt lentement. Le manomètre indique
ànouveau la pression atmosphérique et l'huile manquante
est pressée dans l'unitéd'impulsions.
5.4.7 Répéter le processus 5.4.4 et 5.4.6 jusqu' àce que toutes les
bulles d'air soient expulsées.
-Découpler l'unitéd'impulsions et la fermer avec la vis de fermeture
<68>.
- Tirer la goupille d'arrêt <52> et remplir la chambre d'arrêt qui se
trouve en arrière avec l'injecteur, en évitant la formation de bulles.
- Remonter la goupille d'arrêt <52>.
Remarque: Les petites bulles qui apparaissent en cas de haute
dépression au niveau de la couche de mouillage entre
l’huile et les matériaux ne signifient pas que l’unité
d‘impulsion n’est pas étanche. Ceci n‘influence
aucunement de manière négative les résultats de
remplissage.
5.5 MONTAGE DE MÉCANISME D'ENTRAÎNEMENT
- Presser le couvercle de l'arbre <28> avec le roulement rainuréà
billes <27> sur le rotor <36>.
- Contrôler le jeu axial (6. Instructions de montage, fig. 13).
- Pour simplifier le montage, il est aussi possible d'utiliser le dispositif
d'emmanchement <E>.
- Lubrifier légèrement le joint torique <23> avec de la graisse pour
joints toriques.
- Lubrifier aussi les goupilles <39> et <40>.
- Assemblage des organes moteur (6. Vue éclatées).
Attention!
Ne pas lubrifier les billes <34>, les ressorts de pression
<29>, les boulons de contrôle <30> et la barre de
manoeuvre <37> afin d'éviter une dérive du réglage du
couple.
-Montagedu jointtorique<43>danslecarterpistolet <1>sanscouvir
l'ouverture du couvercle <41>.
- Monteur le bouton de réversibilité<14>.
Le moteur peut seulement être inséréavec l'unité
d'impulsion <44>.
