while reducing network latency. E30 oers a wireless connection speed up to 3,000 Mbps* with other 802.11ax wireless devices, allowing
users to participate in real-time activities online, such as video streaming, online gaming, and more with smooth performance.

What is a Wireless Extender?
The E30 is a repeater that extends the range of an existing wireless network to provide better signals for parts of your home or oce
that may have poor or no reception.Your existing wireless signal will be re-broadcast by the E30, allowing you to reach the farthest
corners of your home or oce.Your E30 can be connected wirelessly or with an Ethernet cable. For exibility of access control, the
extended network can be congured to inherit the network credentials from the existing network, or you can specify a dierent
network name and password.

1 Reset Button Use an unfolded paperclip to press and hold the reset button and release (1-2 seconds). The Status LED
should turn red. The extender will be restored to factory default settings.
2WPS Press WPS button for 1 second to pair E30 with an uplink router.
3LAN Connect an Ethernet cable if you are equipping the current wired network with wireless connectivity.

You may locate the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password for your E30. This information is printed on the device label on the left side of
the device. You will need this information to connect your computer or mobile device to the default network (SSID) of your E30.This
information is also provided on the Quick Installation Guide.

Installation
Wireless Installation Considerations
The E30 lets you extend your existing wireless network’s coverage as long as it is within range of the uplink network. Keep in mind
that the E30’s extension network’s range may be limited by the number, thickness and location of walls, ceilings, or other objects that
the wireless signals must pass through.Typical ranges vary depending on the types of materials and background RF (radio frequency)
noise in your home or business. The key to maximizing wireless range is to follow these basic guidelines:
1. Keep the number of walls and ceilings between the D-Link extender and other network devices to a minimum -
each wall or ceiling can reduce your adapter’s range from 3-90 feet (1-30 meters). Minimize the number of walls
or ceilings your devices are positioned within.
2. Be aware of the direct line between your network devices. A wall that is 1.5 feet thick (0.5 meters) appears to
be almost 3 feet (1 meter) thick at a 45-degree angle. At a 2-degree angle, the wall appears to be over 42 feet
(14 meters) thick. Position devices for their signals to travel straight through a wall or ceiling (instead of from a
certain angle) for better signal reception.
3. Building materials make a dierence. A solid metal door or aluminum studs may have a negative eect on range.
Try to position extenders, access points, wireless routers, and computers for their signal to directly pass through
drywall or open doorways. Materials and objects such as glass, steel, metal, walls with insulation, water (sh
tanks), mirrors, le cabinets, brick, and concrete will degrade your wireless signal.
4. Keep your product away (at least 3-6 feet or 1-2 meters) from electrical devices or appliances that generate RF
noise.
5. If you are using 2.4 GHz cordless phones or X-10 (wireless products such as ceiling fans, lights, and home security
systems), your wireless connection may degrade dramatically or drop completely. Make sure your 2.4 GHz phone
base is as far away from your wireless devices as possible. The base transmits a signal even if the phone is not
in use.

There are several conguration tools you can use to set up your E30.
• WPS PBC - To easily extend an existing wireless network, refer to “WPS-PBC Conguration” on page 12 for setup
instructions.
• AQUILA PRO AI - Use your compatible iOS or Android device to congure your extender. Refer to“AQUILA PRO AI Setup”
on page 14 for setup instructions.
• Web-based Wireless Setup Wizard - This wizard will launch when you log into the extender’s web conguration utility
for the rst time. Refer to“Wireless Setup Wizard”on page 15 for setup instructions.
• Access Point Mode Settings - The system provides two conguration options for extending your existing network:
Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Refer to “Extender Settings” on page 26 for more information regarding conguration options. If
utilizing the E30 as an extender to extend your wireless connectivity, refer to “Wireless Setup Wizard” on page 15. If
utilizing the E30 as an access point through Ethernet, refer to”Access Point Mode Settings”on page 21.

WPS-PBC Conguration
Step 1 - Initiate WPS Mode
While the Status LED is blinking orange, push theWPS button on the main wireless
router or AP, and then push theWPS button on the E30.The Status LED will start to
ash white. Please allow up to two minutes for the process to nish. The Status LED
willturn solidwhite whenthe E30has connected successfullyto thesourcewireless
router or access point.
Step 2 - Connecting Devices to the E30
TheE30 isnow readyto sharetheextendedWi-Fi networkwith yourPCs andmobile
devices.You mayuse theWPS methodto connectdevices tothe extendednetwork
created by the E30 using the same network name (SSID) of the main router. The
password will also be the same as the wireless network you are extending.
TheSmart Connect featurewill present asinglewirelessnetwork.Whenconnecting
clients to the extended network, they will be automatically added to the best band,
either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. To disable the Smart Connect feature and individually
congure 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz SSIDs, refer to“Extender Settings”on page 26.
Wi-Fi Protected Setup Push-Button Conguration (WPS-PBC) makes connecting your E30 easy. To use WPS-PBC Conguration, rst
make sure the main router or access point features a WPS Button or has a virtual WPS Button.

The AQUILA PRO AI app allows you to install and congure your E30 from your compatible Android or iOS device.
Note: The screenshots may be dierent depending on your mobile device’s OS version. However, the process is the same.
AQUILA PRO AI Setup

Tap Install New Device. Scan the Setup code on the bottom of the extender.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Search and install the free AQUILA PRO AI available on the App Store or on
Google Play.
Step 2
Launch the AQUILA PRO AI from the home screen of your device.

Slide through the product list and select E30. Click Next to continue.
Step 6
You will now be guided through a step-by-step process for setting up your
device. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation and
conguration process.
Step 4
Click Scan if you have the setup QR code with you to scan the QR code and
proceed to step 6. If not, click Can’t nd the Setup Code and proceed to step 5.

Wireless Setup Wizard
To access the setup utility on your PC, rst connect to the E30 wirelessly using the
Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password located on the side of your E30.Then open a web
browser andenterhttp://XXXX.devicesetup.net/in yourbrowser’sURL eld(where
“xxxx”are the last four digits of the E30’s MAC address).
If this is your rst time logging in to the extender and no connection has been
established, the setup wizard will automatically appear. If the setup process was
not previously completed, then enter the default device password printed on the
device label on the back of the E30
The setup wizard is designed to guide you through a step-by-step process to congure your new E30 for extending your wireless
network and connecting to the Internet via a wireless setup process.To set up your E30 using an Ethernet cable, please refer to“Access
Point Mode Settings”on page 21.
Note: The Wi-Fi Name (SSID), Wi-Fi Password, web conguration address, and
Device Password are printed on the device label on the side of the device.

This wizard will guide you through conguring your new E30 through a wireless
connection.
Click Next to begin.
TheE30 willscanfor availablewireless networksand displaya listof results.You may
choose one of the following options to proceed:
• If the wireless network you wish to extend was detected by the scan, click on it.
The extender will automatically forward you to the next step.
• If the network you would like to extend was not detected by the scan, click the
Manual button.
Note: If the wireless network you would like to extend was not detected by the
scan, your E30 might be out of range and you may need to reposition the extender
closer to the host network device.

If the wireless network you wish to extend was detected by the scan, enter the
password to connect to the network now. If you chose Manual, enter the Wi-Fi
Network Name (SSID) and Password of the existing Wi-Fi network you wish to
connect to.
Click Next to continue conguring your extended network, or click Back to
return to the previous step.
Enter a name (SSID) and password for identifying and encrypting your extended
network.
Click Next to continue, or click Back to return to the previous step.
