Use the Previous (10) or Next (8) buttons or rotate the Volume/Select control (9) to scroll through
the various menu options, press the Volume/Select control (9) to select the desired option:
a. Station List –shows a full list of DAB stations available.
b. FullScan –Re-scans the DAB band for stations, press the Volume/Select control (9) to select re-
scan.
c. Manual Tune –Enables manual DAB radio tuning. Use the Previous (10) or Next (8) buttons or
rotate the Volume/Select control (9) to scroll through the frequencies, press the Volume/Select
control (9) to select the desired frequency.
d. Prune Invalid –This removes unavailable stations. Use the Previous (10) or Next (8) buttons or
rotate the Volume/Select control (9) to select ‘Yes’or ‘No’, press the Volume/Select control (9) to
select.
e. DRC –Dynamic Range Control. Use the Previous (10) or Next (8) buttons or rotate the
Volume/Select control (9) to select ‘High’, ‘Low’ or ‘Off’, press the Volume/Select control (9) to
select the DRC mode.
f. System Settings –press and rotate the Volume/Select control (9) to select:
•Equaliser –press and rotate the Volume/Select control (9) to select: Normal, Classic, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Speech,
My EQ, My EQ Setup.
•Time/Date –press and rotate the Volume/Select control (9) to set: Time and Date, Auto Update, 12/24hr,
Date Format.
•Backlight –press and rotate the Volume/Select control (9) to set the LCD display backlight: Timeout, On
Level, Dim Level.
•Language –press and rotate the Volume/Select control (9) to select the following languages your radio will
operate in: English, Nederlands, Deutsch, Italiano.
•Factory Reset –press and rotate the Volume/Select control (9) to select ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ to restore the radio to
factory settings.
•Software Update –press and rotate the Volume/Select control (9) to select ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ to update the
internal software.
•Software Version –select to show current internal software version.
Operating Instructions –Using the FM Radio
Listening to the FM Radio
1. Ensure the On/Off Switch (20) on the rear of the radio is in the on position and the Telescopic
Aerial (14) is fully extended.
2. Ensure the radio has batteries inserted or has the Mains Adaptor (18) connected as described
above.
3. Press the Standby/Mode button (1) on the front panel until the radio powers up.
4. Briefly press the Standby/Mode button (1) to enter the FM radio mode.
5. Press the Previous (10) or Next (8) buttons to tune up and down the FM radio band. Holding
either of the buttons down will search and stop at the next FM radio station.
NB the radio tunes in 0.05MHz steps.
6. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME control (9).
Saving up to 10 FM radio stations using the preset function
1. First tune the radio to the desired station as described above.
2. Press and hold the Preset button (4) to enter Preset save mode.
3. Press the Previous (10) or Next (8) buttons or rotate the Volume/Select control (9) to scroll through
the presets.
NB if a preset is empty and there is no station saved the preset will show as ‘(Empty)’.
4. After selecting the desired preset press the Volume/Select control (9) to save the tuned station into
the preset selected –the LCD Display (3) will show ‘Preset x saved’ to confirm.
