Do not handle the power cord harshly. Disconnection or short may cause if you
bend or put a heavy thing on the unit.
When you take a plug out in a wall socket, turn the power off and then take the
plug out carefully.
Insert the plug securely into a wall socket.
Loose connections result in excessive heat generation to the unit and may cause
arcing to occur at the connection.
Avoid using multi-point extension power cords. It may cause excessive heat
generation and be the cause of a fire.
If you extend the power cord, use the cord to have sufficient electric capacity.
Be sure to operate the unit only with the specified power supply.
When you connect the product specified by 100V to 200V, it may be caused to
over-heat, electric shock or a short circuit to each part.
Do not connect wrong electricity since it is the cause of a fire.
Disconnect the power supply plug if the unit is not going to be used for an
extended period of time.

Installing the unit (repeated in the Section 6)
WARNING
Place the unit on a level, horizontal surface to support the capacity of the unit
without vibration. If there is vibration, install the unit on a support material with
enough space. Small place may cause the unit to drop.
Do not install at a dangerous place.
Do not operate the unit where there are flammables. It could be caused serious
accidents like explosion or fire.

Do not operate the unit outside.
Avoid areas where the sun shines or rain directly on the unit. It is very dangerous
as cause over-heat or a short circuit.
Do not install the unit where it can get damp or dust.
It may be caused overheating, a short circuit or a fire by damp or dust inside of the
unit.
Do not use this unit when temperature fall below 5°C and rise above 40°C.
Do not use the unit at a place with high temperature. Do not operate the unit near
a heater, blowing an air-conditioner. It may be caused an accident by over-heating.
The unit should be set at a well ventilated place.
Be sure the holes on the side or rear surface of the body are not blocked by a wall or
an object. And do not operate the unit at a poor ventilated place or use closed.
It may cause a fire or damage of the unit as not to release heat or insufficient
ventilation may result.
Set the unit a lightening place.
When you set the unit at a dark place, it may cause an unexpected accident by
mistake in operation.
Operating the unit (repeated in the Section 7)

purpose and familiar with all precautionary measures required for working in a
laboratory.
Operate after check the safety of the unit.
If there is generated a slight shock or a poisonous gas from a sample, figure it out
and make sure the safety using dustproof or a gas mask.

Do not put any objects insides.
When an object that is easy to be combustible like a stone, a metal or paper goes
inside, it may cause a fire, an electric shock or a break down.
If do, pull out the mains plug from a socket and contact a manufacturer or a supplier.
Do not disassemble or remodeling by yourself.
It may cause damage to the designed safety.
We do not have any duties for an accident, quality deterioration or a defect caused
by a customer.
If unexpected sound, smell or smog is generated, pull out the main plug and contact
manufacturer or a supplier.
CAUTION
This unit must be connected to an earthed power supply.
If you use radiation or contaminated samples, the responsibility is to the customer.
Do not use this product to sterilization or disinfection.
Avoid the use with poisonous or flammable sample.
Never use with an explosive sample.
Please avoid ultraviolet lamps.
It could be cracked or faded.
Disconnect the power supply plug if the unit is not used for an extended period of
time.

This operation manual describes performance, usage, cautions and notices for use of the purchased
product. Before use, please confirm this manual and use properly.

Installation 6
1. After receiving the unit and putting it on the specified place of use, remove the wrapping.
2. Check the unit on eventual transport damages. In case there are some transport damages found
please inform the forwarder and your contractor. If there is no damage please go to point 3.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes so that the all the internal parts and components of the unit
can be stabilized.
4. Connect the mains cord to the socket.
WARNING

Do not turn on and off frequently. It could damage the compressor by overload.
CAUTION
This unit must be connected to an earthed power supply.
If the operating temperature is lower than the ambient temperature, the body could
be hot because of the heat generated by the compressor. It is natural and you don’t
have to be worried.
If you use the unit for the purpose of heating external object by circulation,
circulation distance should be shorter than 7m and extension tube as thick as
possible is recommended.
If you use radiation or contaminated samples, the responsibility is to the customer.
Do not use this product to sterilization or disinfection.
Avoid a sample that is poisonous or flammable.
Never use for an explosive sample.
Please avoid ultrasonic lamps.

1. Preparation for Use
lPut tubes on the block and then close the Lid(cover)
lConnect the power cord then the Power Switch on.
2. Select Mode
High Performance Dry Bath Heating & Cooling Block may be set to 3 individual modes by
pushing MODE button(Refer to Figure 5). The three modes are (1) Timer Mode(Set Operation
Time mode), (2) Temperature Mode(Set Temperature mode),
(3) Safety Mode(locking Mode) and the sub modes are Delay Mode(Set Delay Time Mode) and
Offset Mode(Set Offset Temp Mode). The initial mode is (1) Timer Mode(Set Operation Time
mode).

3. Timer Mode.
●LCD display indicate Timer Mode and Timer LED(Green) is blinking at the same time.
●SV, the value of first line (smaller-sized digits) on LCD display, indicates set value of operation
timer and PV, the value of second line (bigger-sized digits) indicates present value of the timer.
●Initial SV of the timer is 00:00, which means infinite time and the unit will operate
(heating or cooling) continuously once the operation start.
●Turn the Jug Shuttle Knob such to clockwise or counterclockwise then SV and PV change
together. SV can be set in 1 minute, and the Maximum Value is 99:59(99hr 59mins).
●After set timer SV, push Jog Shuttle knob 1 time shortly, the timer will be running.
●When you set SV, push Jog Shuttle Knob about in 2~3 seconds, Will be save the Set Value.
and push Jog shuttle knob 1 time again, timer will be running.
●When the unit has finished running time, the heater will be stop and a buzzer will go off.
●If you want to go to next mode(Temperature Setting Mode), push MODE button 1 time.

4. Temperature Setting Mode.
●SV, the value of first line (smaller-sized digits) on LCD display, indicates set value of operation
Temperature and PV, the value of second line (bigger-sized digits) indicates present value
of the Temperature.
●Turn the Jug shuttle Knob such as clockwise or counterclockwise then SV and PV change
together. SV can be set in 0.1 ℃.
●Temperature Range : HB-48 / HB-96 / HB-96D →Ambient +5℃~ 150℃
HB-R48 →-5℃~ 95℃
●When you finish Set Value, push Jog shuttle Knob 1 time shortly, the unit will be running
and Heating LED(Red) will be turn on after 2~4 seconds.
●When you finish Set Value, push Jog shuttle Knob About in 2~3 seconds, will be save the
Set Value of Temperature.
●After that, push the Jog shuttle Knob 1time shortly, the heater will be running. After 2~4
seconds, you will see “Heating” message on the LCD display.
●it cannot re-set the Set Value of Temperature when the heater is running, if you want to re-
set the Set Value of Temperature, push the Jog shuttle Knob 1 time shortly (Pause mode) and
set to re-set the Set Value of Temperature.
●after re-set the set value of Temperature, push the Jog shuttle Knob in 2~3 seconds or
push the Jog Shuttle Knob 1 time shortly.
●If you want to go to next mode(Safety Mode), push MODE button 1 time.
5. Safety Mode(Locking Mode).
●In this mode, turning or pushing Jog shuttle knob doesn’t work for any set value.
So, you could prevent any changes of set values by mistake.
