1. In the case of 2 remote control system.

Due to the limited power supply capacity, there are some restrictions when controlling 2 remote controllers.
<Common restriction for SkyAir and VRV >
When controlling one indoor unit with 2 remote controllers, the remote controller operated first turns the
backlight on.
<Restriction for VRV only>
Adaptor for wiring (KRP1C*) or power supply adaptor for indoor unit PCB (X18A or X35A) cannot be
used for 2 remote controller system.
When controlling 2 remote controllers, the following functions cannot be set with the sub remote controller.
- Schedule
- Auto Changeover
- Setback
- Dual Setpoint
(For the details, refer to P.25.)
2. In the case of Centralised remote controller connection.
When connecting centralised control equipment, the following functions can be re-enabled with a field
setting.

Safety Considerations
The original instructions are written in English. All other languages are translation of the original
instructions.
Read these SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS carefully before operating the remote controller.
Train the customer to operate and maintain the remote controller.
Inform customers that they should store this Operations Manual with the Installation Manual for
future reference.
Meanings of WARNING and CAUTION Symbols:
WARNING Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could
result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may
result in minor or moderate injury.
It may also be used to alert against unsafe practices.
NOTE Indicates situations that may result in equipment or property-damage
accidents only.

Never do. Always follow the instructions given.
Keep water and moisture away. Keep wet hands away.
WARNING
Do not modify or repair the remote controller.Ɣ
Consult your Daikin dealer for any modification or for repairs.
Do not relocate or reinstall the remote controller by yourself.Ɣ
Improper installation may result in electric shocks or fire.
Consult your Daikin dealer to relocate or for any reinstallation.
Do not use flammable materials (e.g., hairspray or insecticide) near theƔ
remote controller.
Do not clean the product with organic solvents such as paint thinner.
The use of organic solvents may cause cracking, damaging the product, causing electric
shocks, or fire.
Consult the dealer if the remote controller was submerged under waterƔ
due to a natural disaster, such as a flood or hurricane.
Do not operate the remote controller at this time or a malfunction, electric
shock, or fire can occur.

CAUTION
Do not allow children to play with the remote controller to avoid causingƔ
damage to the product.
Never disassemble the remote controller.Ɣ
Touching the interior parts may result in electric shocks or fire.
Consult your Daikin dealer for internal inspections and adjustments.
Do not touch the remote controller buttons with wet fingers.Ɣ
Touching the buttons with wet fingers can cause an electric shock.
Do not wash the remote controller.Ɣ
Doing so may cause electric leakage and result in electric shocks or fire.
Never let the remote controller to get wet.Ɣ
Water can cause damage to the remote controller, and may cause an electric shock or
fire.
NOTE
Never press the button of the remote controller with a hard and pointedƔ
object.
The remote controller may be damaged.
Never pull or twist the electric wire of the remote controller.Ɣ
It may cause the unit to malfunction.
Do not wipe the remote controller with benzine, thinner, chemicalƔ
dustcloth, etc.
The remote controller may get discolored or the coating peeled off. If it is heavily dirty,
soak a cloth in water-diluted neutral detergent, squeeze it well and wipe the remote
controller clean. And wipe it with another dry cloth.

Functions other than basic operation items (i.e., On/Off, Operation
Mode, Fan Speed, and Setpoint) are set from the menu screen.
NOTE
Do not install the remote controller in places exposed to direct sunlight, the LCDƔ
will be damaged.
Do not pull or twist the remote controller cord, the remote controller may beƔ
damaged.
Do not use objects with sharp ends to press the buttons on the remote controller,Ɣ
damage may result.
