2Removal Procedure
1. Outdoor Unit
1.1 Outer Panels / Outdoor Fan
Warning Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before
disassembling work.
Step Procedure Points
1. Remove the suction grille. The hooks are secured in
the clearances of the
outdoor heat exchanger fins.

Unfasten the 5 hooks.
Remove the suction
grille.
2. Remove the top panel.

Remove the 8 screws.
Lift up the top panel and
remove it.
3. Remove the front panel
(2).
This screw is M5 × 16.
1 Remove the 5 screws.

2 Slide the front panel (2)
downward to release
the hook.
3 Remove the front panel
(2).
4. Remove the right side
panel.
1 Remove the 2 screws.

unfasten the 2 hooks on
the back side.

5. Remove the outdoor fan
and the front panel (1).
Remove the discharge grille
and outdoor fan first to
remove the front panel (1).
1 Remove the 4 screws
on the discharge grille.

Slide the discharge
grille downward to
unfasten the 2 hooks at
the top.
Remove the discharge
grille.
4 Remove the nut and
remove the outdoor fan.
Nut size : M8
When reassembling, align
the mark of the outdoor
fan with the D-cut section of
the motor shaft.

5 Remove the 5 screws
on the front panel (1).
6 Release the hook and
remove the front panel
(1).
6. Remove the rear panel.

and remove the

and remove the wire
fixture.
3 Disconnect the
connecting wires.
4 Disconnect the
connector [S402].

5 Remove the screw of
the resin clamp.
When reassembling, attach
the resin clamp as below.
6 Remove the water
heater thermistor.
7 Pull out the holder of
the outdoor
temperature thermistor.
The holder is secured in the
clearances of the outdoor
heat exchanger fins.

wire from the groove.

10 Removal Procedure
1.2 Fan Motor
Warning Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before
disassembling work.
Step Procedure Points
1 Cut the 2 clamps.
2 Disconnect the
connector [S70].
[S70]: fan motor
3 Release the fan motor
lead wire from the 5
hooks.
★: When reassembling, do not
use these 2 hooks.

Remove the 2 lower
screws of the fan motor.
Remove the 2 upper
screws.
Be sure to remove the lower
screws first. If the upper
screws are removed first, the
fan motor may tilt or fall
because its centre of gravity
shifts to the front.
It may cause injuries.
6 Remove the fan motor. When reassembling, make
sure that the wire harness is
facing downward.

12 Removal Procedure
1.3 Electrical Box
Warning Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before
disassembling work.
Step Procedure Points
1 Disconnect the
connector [S70].
[S70]: fan motor
2 Release the fan motor
lead wire from the 5
hooks.
★: When reassembling, do not
use these 2 hooks.
3 Disconnect the
connectors for the
electronic expansion
valve coils [S20], [S21],
[S22].
Pull out the clamp.
[S20] (white): room A
[S21] (red) : room B
[S22] (blue) : room C
When reassembling, insert
the clamps into the small
holes as below.

4 Disconnect the
connector [S80].
Pull out the clamp.
[S80]: four way valve coil
5 Disconnect the
connector [S92].
Pull out the clamp.
[S92]: gas pipe thermistors
(each room, water heater)
6 Disconnect the
connector [S90].
Pull out the clamp.
[S90]: thermistor ASSY

14 Removal Procedure
7 Release the harnesses
of the thermistor ASSY
from the hook on the
bottom of the electrical
box.
Pull out the clamp.
8 Disconnect the
connector [S40].
Pull out the clamp.
[S40]: overload protector / high
pressure switch
9 Disconnect the relay
connector for the
compressor.
10 Pinch the clamp with
pliers and pull out the
clamp.

11 Remove the screw on
the stop valve mounting
plate.
12 Remove the screw on
the partition plate (1).
13 Remove the 2 screws
to detach the earth /
ground wires.

14 Cut the clamp.
15 Pull out the outdoor
heat exchanger
thermistor.
Be careful not to lose the clip
for the thermistor.

Be careful not to lose the clip
for the thermistor.

and remove it.

18 Removal Procedure
1.4 PCBs
Warning Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before
disassembling work.
Step Procedure Points
1. Remove the electrical box
cover.
1 Peel off the filament
tape.
2 Unfasten the 4 hooks
and remove the
electrical box cover.
The hooks are marked with
▼.
2. Remove the filter PCB. [S401]: to main PCB
1 Disconnect the
connector [S401].
