Technical data
Cleaning instructions
For cleaning the Soft Inlays we recommend to wash them by hand
under warm water with mild soap or detergent. The synthetic parts of
the orthosis as well as the heel posting disks (A) and the arch height
adjustments (B) may be cleaned with a damp cloth. Avoid damaging
the material by closing all velcro straps before washing the orthosis.
Do not tumble dry or dry using heat. Allow to air dry at moderate
temperatures.

Instructions for use
Body Armor® Vario
Ankle Support
The Body Armor® Vario is an ankle joint orthosis which is applied during
the acute phase of injury as well as during the process of rehabilitation.
The ankle joint orthosis is available for the right and left foot equally.
> The Body Armor® Vario ankle joint orthosis can be customized individually
to match the foot after a comparatively short time wearing it.
> For maximum stability we recommend wearing athletic shoes.
> For advanced comfort please wear an absorptive and highly cut sock.
> The Body Armor® Vario ankle joint orthosis is designed for the use of one
person/patient only and not meant for multiple use.
Application of the Body Armor® Vario in the following order:
1. Open the two velcro straps to full extent.
2. Take out the three heel posting disks (A) and the three arch height adjust-
ments (B). Choose the heel posting disk (A) with the requested degree
number (2°, 4° or 6°) and press it from outside onto the back of the foot
plate in the heel area. Make sure that the disk sits firmly in the designated
holes and that the arrows of the disk are located on top of the arrows
of the foot plate.
Caution: You have the option to stabilize the foot in a pronation or supina-
tion position by pressing the heel posting disk (A) in two different ways.
3. Place the requested arch height adjustment element (B) on the inside of
the foot plate. Choose between the high, middle and low element. Move
the arch height adjustment element (B) to the most comfortable position
for the patient and carefully press the element into the designated
holes of the foot plate.
4. Remove the insole from the shoe and reinsert the orthosis into the shoe.
5. Ensure that the orthosis is placed in the heel area of the shoe right in the
back. Then put the insole directly on the orthosis in the shoe.
6. Now pull a regular thick sock over the foot.
7. Spread open the laterally molded uprights and insert the foot into the shoe.
8. Gently press the laterally molded uprights together and close the orthosis
with the velcro straps. The lower strap first and the upper strap second.
9. Then tie your shoes as usual.
Caution
Please observe these instructions for use in any case. If you sense any
unusual reaction (e. g. skin swelling, pressure points, circulatory disorder
etc.) please inform your physician. In case of improper handling function
and maximum safety of the product can no longer be guaranteed.
