WORKING PERIODS

1. GENERAL FEATURES
Remove the appliance from the packaging. Make sure that no pieces of polystyrene or other
packaging material have been left between one element of the appliance and another.
Check that neither the appliance nor the power cable have been damaged in any way during
transportation.
2. FITTING THE FEET
Removethefeetandthewheelsfromthepolystyrenepacking.Turntheradiatorupside-down
on a rug or a soft surface in order to prevent damaging the paint finish.
Fitthewheelstothespindlesonthefeet and push firmlyuntiltheyclickinto position. Pull each
wheel to check that it is correctly inserted.
Thefeetwiththecastersmustbefittedwithtwoarc-shapedbracketsonlybetweenthe1stand
2nd element (see fig. 1 to 4 inclusive).
3. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
-Before using the appliance check that your supply voltage is the same of that shown on the
rating label of the unit.
-CONNECT YOUR HEATER TO EARTH PROVIDED SOCKET ONLY.
-This product is manufactured to comply with the radio interference requirements of the
council directive 89/336/EEC.
4. HOW TO USE IT
Switching on
Plug it in; move thermostat to highest setting and switch it on as follows:
a)on-off units with single heat setting:
-key on «I» = ON (pilot light ON, or a mark will appear on the switch)
-key on «O» = OFF (pilot light OFF)
b)units with three heat settings:
-key on «I» = low heat (pilot light ON, or a mark will appear on the switch)
-key on «II» = medium heat (pilot light ON, or a mark will appear on the switch)
-bothswitches «I» «II»=highheat(both pilot lights ON,oramarkwill appear onbothswitches)
To turn appliance off, switch off both switches or remove plug from wall socket.
Adjusting the thermostat
Theswitchandthermostat shouldbemaintaineduntilthedesiredroomtemperaturehasbeen
reached.Now move the thermostatback gradually until thered pilot lamps goout (or until you
hear a 'click). The thermostat can then remain at this setting.
Assoonastheroomtemperaturehasdroppedbelowthesettemperature,theheaterswitches
itself on automatically until the set temperature has again been reached. In this way the room
temperature remains constant with the most economical use of electricity.
Antifreeze function
Move the thermostat to the ✱position and press the switches. The appliance will maintain a
minimum room temperature of approximately 5°C thus preventing freezing with a minimum
energy consumption.
c)Models with a 24 hour time-clock (fig. 5)
To set the heating periods proceed in the following way:
-Setthetimeratthecorrecttime.Supposingitis11.00a.m.turnthenumbereddialofthetime-
clockinaclockwisedirectionuntilthenumber11coincideswiththereferencemark▲onthe
clock.Setthetimeperiodduringwhichyouwishtheappliancetoworkbypushingthenotches
towards the centre. Each notch corresponds to 15 minutes period. At this point sections will
be visible corresponding to the working periods.

-Ifyouwishtheappliancetofunctionwithoutprogrammedworkingperiodpushall thenotches
towards the centre.
-If your appliance comes fitted with a timer lever selector, put timer lever to position .
Once the lever has been positioned on the heater will automatically work only during the
pre-set time periods. (Important: the plug must remain connected to power supply).
-To overide the timer, place the lever in position .
-To change programmed operating times, just pull notch back to original position and reset
timer for new functioning period.
-To turn the appliance off totally, the plug must be pulled out apart from switching off, so as
to avoid unnecessary working of the timer.
d)Models with 12-hour mechanical timer
Tosetthedelayedswitchingonoftheappliance,switchontheapplianceandselectthedesired
power and temperature settings as described above.
Turn the timer knob clockwise to the number of hours desired. The appliance will then
automatically switch on when this time set has elapsed.
OPTION: «TURBO» HEATER
This version of the oil filled heater is fitted with built-in fans which heat the room even faster.
A safety device switches the appliance off if it accidentally overheats. To reset the unit for
normal operation, remove the plug from the mains socket, let the appliance to cool, eliminate
thecauseoftheoverheating(e.g.intakeoroutletgrilleobstructed)andthenplugthefanheater
back in again.
Contactyour nearest ServiceCentre if thefan heater doesnot start operatingnormally again.
5. MAINTENANCE
Youroilfilledraditorisabsolutelyfreefrommaintenance,fullyreliableandwillgivemanyyears
of trouble free service.
Wipe heater with soft damp cloth; do not use detergents or abrasives.
In order to garantee a better suction, clean the suction grille regularly as shown in fig. 6 - 7.
6. IMPORTANT NOTES
-Yourheatermust always be earth connected;warrantydoesnot cover damages caused by
non-observance of this warning.
-Do not use your heater close to bath, wash-basin, shower and swimming pool.
-Do not use your heater to dry laundry.
-Do not lay the cable on the hot unit.
-The heater must always service in upright position.
-In case of power cable replacement, only use H05VV-F 3x1 mm2diameter cables.
-The heater must not be located immediately below a fixed socket-outlet.
-When using the appliance for the first time, switch it on for at least 2 hours with the
thermostat in the maximum position in order to eliminate the "new" smell that is
typical of all new appliances. Ensure that the room is well ventilated.
-Itisnormalfortheappliancetoemitsmallcrackingsoundswhenyouturnitonforthefirsttime.
-The appliance is filled with a precise quantity of special oil, so that repairs requiring the
openingoftheoilcontainermustonlybemadebythemanufacturerorhisserviceagent.Any
oil leakage must be reported to the manufacturer or his service agent.
-Do not use this appliance in rooms having a floor area of less than 4 m2.
IMPORTANT:Do not cover the appliance during functioning, this could cause a dangerous
temperature increase of the heater; a safety device would intervene and the
appliancewouldnolongerfunction.Ifthisshouldoccur,contactanauthorized
Service Centre.
