4. Store prepared and cleaned
teeth in the Dentpsly Sirona
Tooth Box until setting teeth.
5. Deglaze teeth.
6. When using plastic teeth,
prepare teeth using Eclipse
Bonding Agent. See Bonding
Agent Directions For Use
and follow Step-By-Step
instructions.
7. When using porcelain teeth
with pins and/or vent holes,
no tooth preparation is
required.
8. The Eclipse Set-up Resin
may be used as supplied or
cut lengthwise to preferred
diameter. Melt the bottom of
the Set-up Resin with the flat
surface of the Wax Pencil tip;
then place it onto the ridge
area of the baseplate. Use as
little Set-up Resin as possible.
9. Melt the surface of the Set-up
Resin with the Dentpsly
Sirona Wax Pencil Pro or
DentpslySironaHotAirGun
just prior to tooth placement.
Set teeth while Set-up Resin
is in a softened condition.
Use the Dentpsly Sirona
Wax Pencil Pro; temperature
set at 3 o’clock position is
suggested to flow molten
Contour Resin around teeth
to hold in position.
NOTE: Do not “slice” Set-up
Resin with Dentpsly Sirona Wax
Pencil Pro as you would wax, as
this will entrap air.
10. Complete contouring of the
denture base by using the
Dentpsly Sirona Wax Pencil
Pro, Temperature set at 3
o’clock position is suggested
to flow liquefied Contour
Resin onto the denture as
needed. Observe the Contour
Resin as it is applied onto
the denture and “pop” any
bubbles that are seen while
the resin is still fluid. Contour
Resin should cover all Set-up
Resin and exposed baseplate.
Contour to desired shape.
NOTE: Allow Contour Resin to
cool before contouring.
NOTE: Do not whip the Contour
Resin to re-suspend red fibers
as they settle out. Stir gently
to re-suspend fibers, which will
minimize air entrapment.
NOTE: Contour the denture to
the finished dimensions. Do not
“bulk-up.”
11. Carve around teeth with a
sharp instrument and festoon
Contour Resin with the
instrument of your choice.
Make sure teeth are clean
of all flash/Contour Resin
for best results. Instruments
should be free of wax
and dedicated for Eclipse
materials only. Use the
Dentpsly Sirona Hot Air Gun
to smooth the Contour Resin
around teeth and gingival
area, as well as the junction
of the baseplate and Contour
Resin. At this point, the
denture is ready for try-in.
NOTE: Due to the light curing
nature of the material, the
uncured try-in must be sent to
the dentist in a Light Safe Bag
(provided in Baseplate Resin
package).
D. Adjustments
1. If teeth must be re-positioned
in the lab after the try-in visit,
this is best accomplished by
keeping the uncured denture
cool and breaking the teeth
away from the uncured resin.
Refrigerating for a short
time will make this easier.
The teeth can then be re-set
with a melt interface using
a small amount of Set-up
and Contour Resin. Melting
the resins to loosen and
re-position the teeth may
cause air entrapment and
handling challenges.
