Vorwort
Gratulation zum Kauf Ihrer neuen DETOMASO-Uhr.
Sie sind jetzt Eigentümer eines Zeitgebers, der sich durch höchste Präzision
und innovativem Design auszeichnet.
Für jede Uhr gilt, dass wir alle wichtigen Ersatzteile für viele Jahre bereithalten
und damit garantieren, dass jede Uhr über einen langen Zeitraum repariert
werden kann.
Damit wir gewährleisten können, dass Ihre neue Uhr viele Jahre problemlos
funktioniert, lesen Sie bitte sorgfältig die folgende Bedienungsanleitung.

Wasserdichtigkeit
Die Wasserdichtigkeit Ihrer DETOMASO–Uhr ist mit 5 ATM getestet.
Das heißt, Ihre Uhr besteht unbeschadet Händewaschen, Baden, oder Regenspritzer.
Sie ist jedoch nicht geeignet zum Schwimmen, Duschen oder Tauchen.
Wasserdichtigkeit ist keine bleibende Eigenschaft; sie sollte jährlich und insbe-
sondere vor besonderen Belastungen überprüft werden, da die eingebauten
Dichtungselemente in ihrer Funktion und im täglichen Gebrauch nachlassen.
Um die Wasserdichtigkeit einer Uhr zu gewährleisten werden Dichtungen
verwendet. Diese unterliegen einem natürlichen Alterungsprozess. Sie werden
u. a. von Schweiß und Säuren angegriffen.
DIN 8310 regelt Kriterien, die neue Uhren aushalten müssen. Die Wider-
standsfähigkeit wird in Atmosphäre angegeben und auf dem Gehäuseboden
vermerkt. Ihre DETOMASO–Uhr hat eine Wasserdichtigkeit von 5 ATM. Die
Druckangabe „5 ATM“ darf nicht verwechselt werden mit der Tauchtiefe, son-
dern ist die Definition des Prüfdrucks. Ein Prüfdruck von „5 ATM“ wird in 50 m
Wassertiefe erreicht.
Beim Schwimmen oder beim Sprung ins Wasser kann kurzfristig ein größerer
Druck auf die Dichtelemente entstehen als der garantierte Prüfdruck. Beson-
ders gefährdet sind die Uhren, wenn man nach längerem Sonnenbaden ins
Wasser springt, weil sich dann der Aufschlagdruck mit dem Unterdruck durch
die Abkühlung addiert, was leichter zu Schäden führen kann.
Beim Batteriewechsel ist es wichtig die Dichtungen zu überprüfen und ggf. zu
erneuern.

Pflegehinweise
Ihre Uhr ist ein Meisterwerk der Elektronik und Feinmechanik von hoher Präzi-
sion. Sie soll Ihnen lange die richtige Zeit anzeigen. Schützen Sie Ihre Uhr vor
Stößen, Magnetfeldern, starker Hitze, Wasser und Chemikalien, sowie vor me-
chanischem Abrieb. Zum Schlafen sollten Uhren grundsätzlich abgelegt werden.
Bleibt eine batteriebetriebene Uhr stehen oder wird das Nachlassen der
Batteriespannung angezeigt, sollte sie unverzüglich zum Fachgeschäft gebracht
werden, damit die leere Batterie weder in der Uhr noch in der Umwelt Schaden
anrichtet.
Der Batteriewechsel sollte regelmäßig und im Abstand von 1 – 1 ½ Jahren
im Fachgeschäft durchgeführt werden. Lassen Sie auch gegebenenfalls den
Zustand der Dichtungen überprüfen und diese, wenn nötig, erneuern.
Bei Kondenswasserbildung (Nebel unter dem Glas) muss die Uhr unverzüglich
ins Fachgeschäft gebracht werden, damit die Feuchtigkeit keinen Schaden
anrichtet. Die Krone sollte beim Tragen immer eingedrückt sein.

Armbandkürzungen bei Metallarmbändern
Lassen Sie Kürzungen des Armbandes bitte möglichst vom Fachhandel durch-
führen. Bei der nicht sachgerechten Kürzung verlieren Sie mögliche Garantie-
ansprüche.
Armbänder mit Stifte:
Zur Kürzung des Armbandes werden die seitlichen Stifte mit einem spitzen
Gegenstand aus dem Band gedrückt. Achten Sie auf die eingravierten Pfeile auf
der Rückseite des Metallarmbandes oder auf entsprechende Aufkleber. Nach
der Kürzung werden die Stifte wieder hineingedrückt.

Einstellung der Mondphase und des Datums
Hinweis Sperrfristen: In der Zeit von 23.30 Uhr bis 05.30 Uhr können keine
Kalenderfunktionen verändert werden, da während dieser Zeit die automati-
schen Schaltvorgänge aktiv sind. Werden die Drücker innerhalb dieser Sperr-
fristen betätigt, können Schäden am Werk entstehen.
Ziehen Sie die Krone heraus in die 1. Position. Drehen Sie die Zeiger im Uhr-
zeigersinn bis die Vollmond-Position in der Anzeige sichtbar ist. Drehen Sie die
Zeiger auf 06.00 Uhr (außerhalb des Sperrzeitraumes). Drücken Sie Knopf A
um das Datum auf das letzte Vollmonddatum (siehe Tabelle) zu stellen. Drücken
Sie Knopf B um den Wochentag des letzten Vollmondes einzustellen. Drehen
Sie mit der Krone die Zeiger vorwärts bis das aktuelle Datum angezeigt wird.
Die korrekte Mondphase ist jetzt eingestellt.

Einstellung des Datums
Drehen Sie die Zeiger auf 06.00 Uhr (außerhalb des Sperrzeitraumes).
Drücken Sie Knopf A um das Datum einzustellen.
Einstellung des Wochentages
Drehen Sie die Zeiger auf 06.00 Uhr (außerhalb des Sperrzeitraumes).
Drücken Sie Knopf B um den Wochentag einzustellen.
Einstellung der Uhrzeit
Drehen Sie die Krone im Uhrzeigersinn um die Uhrzeit einzustellen.
Achtung: Vergessen Sie nicht den 24-Stunden Rhytmus. Wenn die Zeiger die
12 Uhr-Position passieren, werden die Mondphase, Wochentag und Datum um
einen Tag vorgestellt.
Einstellung des Monats
Drücken Sie Knopf C um die Monatsanzeige einen Monat vorzustellen. Diese
Schnellstellung ist am 31ten eines Monats zwischen 23.30 Uhr und 05.30
Uhr nicht möglich, weil in diesem Zeitraum die automatische Umschaltungs-
funktion ausgeführt wird.

Wir garantieren, dass Ihre Uhr aus qualitativ hochwertigen Materialien gefertigt
wurde. Aufwändige Qualitätskontrollen garantieren, dass die Uhr vor Verlassen
der Fabrikation geprüft wurde. Trotzdem können Materialfehler leider nicht
immer ausgeschlossen werden. Sollte Ihre neue Uhr nicht fehlerfrei sein,
wenden Sie sich bitte innerhalb der Garantiefrist an unseren Kundendienst. Auf
Ihre Uhr gewähren wir 24 Monate Garantie ab Kaufdatum auf alle Material- und
Herstellungsfehler. Diese Herstellergarantie wird unbeschadet der gesetzlichen
Gewährleistungsansprüche gewährt. Die Garantie bezieht sich auf die Funktion
des Uhrwerks und der einwandfreien Verarbeitung der Uhr.
Nicht durch die Garantie abgedeckt sind Batterien, Verschleiß am Gehäuse,
Glas oder Uhrband sowie Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße Benutzung entste-
hen (Unfall, Glasbruch, Wasserschaden, herausgerissene Krone).
Innerhalb der Garantie werden Fabrikationsmängel kostenlos von uns behoben.
Sollte die Uhr nicht zu reparieren sein, wird die Uhr durch ein vergleichbares
Modell ersetzt.
Eine Haftung für Neben- und Folgeschäden ist ausgeschlossen.
Im Garantiefall senden Sie Ihre Uhr zusammen mit Ihrem Namen und Ihrer
Adresse sowie einer Kopie des Kaufbeleges an den Händler, bei dem Sie die
Uhr erworben haben. Oder an die auf der Rückseite dieser Bedienungsanleitung
angegebenen Anschrift.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new DETOMASO watch. You are now
the new owner of a high precision time keeper characterised by its innovative
design.
We keep a long term stock of the most important spare parts for all our wat-
ches, guaranteeing repair over a period of many years.
In order to ensure that your new watch functions properly for many years,
please read the following instructions carefully.

Waterproof properties
The water resistance of your DETOMASO watch has been tested to be 5 ATM.
This means that it is splashproof and that you may wash your hands or take a
shower with it. However, the watch is not to be worn in the bath or when swim-
ming or diving. Waterproofness is not a permanent characteristic; it should
be tested annually and in particular before the watch is put under exceptional
strain, as the seals deteriorate gradually in daily use. The seals are the impor-
tant factor in guaranteeing the waterproofness of a watch. These age naturally
and are also affected by perspiration and acids.
ISO 2281 stipulates which standards have to be met by a new watch. The level
of waterproofness is given in atm and noted on the base of the casing. Your
DETOMASO watch has been tested and has a water resistance of 5 ATM. The
specification „5 ATM” is not to be confused with the diving depth; it is simply
the definition of the inspection pressure. An inspection pressure of 5 ATM is
reached at a depth of 50 m. You cannot go diving with this watch.
In some cases a short-term higher pressure than the guaranteed inspection
pressure may be enforced on the seals, for example when swimming or diving
into water. Watches are at particular risk when the wearer dives into water
after sunbathing. The combination of the impact pressure with the negative
pressure caused by the sudden drop in temperature can quite easily cause
damage. It is important to check and, if necessary, replace seals when the
battery is replaced.

Instructions for care
Your watch is a high precision electronic and mechanical masterpiece and
should serve you well for a long time.
Please keep your watch away from magnetic fields, heat, water and chemicals.
Do not submit it to sudden impact or abrasion. Watches should not be worn in
bed.
If a battery operated watch stops or the low battery indicator shows, it should
be taken to a specialist as soon as possible to prevent the battery from causing
damage in the watch or to the environment.
Batteries should be replaced by a specialist at regular intervals of approx. 1 –
1 ½ years. The seals can then be checked and, if necessary, replaced at the
same time.
In the event of condensation forming underneath the glass (misting), the watch
should be taken to a specialist as soon as possible to prevent the moisture
from causing further damage.
The crown should always be firmly pressed in or screwed tight during use.

Shortening a metal link bracelet
Please have your metal bracelet shortened by a specialist. Improper adjustment
of the bracelet may lead to your guarantee becoming void.
Bracelets with pins:
In order to shorten the bracelet, push out the pins on the side of the bracelet
using a needle or very small screwdriver. Please observe the arrows engraved
on the reverse of the metal bracelet or on the labels. After the bracelet has
been shortened (links removed) simply push the pins back into place.

Setting the moon phase and the date
WARNING Black out period for setting: Please do not set the watch during
the following periods:
Between 11.30 pm and 05.30 am no calendar functions can be set since du-
ring this period all automated settings are activated. Any buttons pushed during
this period can cause damage to the movement.
Pull out the crown into the 1st position. Turn the crown clockwise until the
full moon phase is visible in the display. Set the hands on six o`clock (outside
the black out period). Push button A to set the date to the last full moon date
according to the table. Push button B to set the weekday of the last full moon.
Use the crown to move the hands forward until the current date is displayed.
Now the correct moon phase has been set.

Setting the date
Set the hands to six o`clock (outside the black out period).
Push button A to set the date.
Setting the weekday
Set the hands to six o`clock (outside the black out period).
Push button B to set the weekday.
Setting the time
Turn the crown clockwise to set the time.
Note: keep in mind the 24 h rhythm. When the hands will pass the 12 o`clock
position the moon phase, weekday and date will advance 1 day.
Setting the month
Push button C to set the display of the month one month ahead. This quick
setting is not possible on the 31st of a month between 11.30 pm and 05.30
am since during this period the automated advance function is performed.

24 month warranty
We guarantee that your watch is made of high quality materials. Extensive
quality controls guarantee that the watch is checked before being released by
the manufacturer.
Nevertheless, material faults cannot always be avoided. Should your new watch
show any faults, please consult our customer service department within the
valid warranty period.
We provide a 24 month warranty from date of purchase on all material faults
and production errors. This manufacturer’s warranty applies regardless of
statutory warranty rights. The warranty covers the functioning of the clockwork
and the flawless workmanship of the watch. Not covered are: batteries, wear
and tear of the casing, glass or watch strap as well as damage caused by
improper use (accident, broken glass, water damage, pulled-out crown).
We will repair manufacturing faults free of charge within the warranty period.
Should the watch be irreparable it will be replaced by a comparable model.
To obtain warranty services please return the product to the place of purchase,
together with a copy of your sales receipt or other proof of purchase that
shows the date of purchase. Alternatively you may send the watch to the ser-
vice centre listed on the back of this booklet.
