XStream‐PKG‐E™ Ethernet RF Modem – Product Manual v4.2B5
Parameter
4 .3 . Com m and D escr ipt ion s
Com m ands in this section are listed alphabet ically. Com m and cat egories are designated between
the “ < > ” sym bols t hat follow each com m and t it le. XSt ream Modem s ex pect num erical v alues in
hex adecim al and t hose v alues are designat ed by a “ 0x ” pr ef ix .
AT ( Gu ard Tim e Aft e r) Com m a nd
< Com m and Mode Opt ions> AT Com m and is
used to set t he t im e- of -silence that follow s the
comm and sequence char act er ( CC Com m and) .
By default , AT Com m and Mode will act ivate af t er
one second of silence.
Refer to the AT Com m and Mode sect ion t o view
the default AT Com m and Mode Sequence.
AT Command: ATAT
Binary Command: 0x05 (5 decimal)
Parameter Range: 0x02 – 0xFFFF
(x 100 milliseconds)
Number of bytes returned: 2
Default Parameter Value: 0x0A (10 decimal)
Related Commands: BT (Guard Time Before), CC
(Command Sequence Character)
BD ( I nt e rf a ce Dat a Rat e) Com m a nd
< Ser ial I nt erfacing> BD Com m and allows t he
user t o adj u st t he UART I / O ser ial dat a rate and
thus m odify t he rat e at which serial dat a is sent
t o t he m odem . The new baud rat e does not take
effect unt il t he CN ( Exit AT Com m and Mode)
Com m and is issued. Throughput and RF dat a
rat es are not affect ed by t he BD Com m and.
Alt hough m ost applicat ions w ill only require one
of the seven st andard baud rat es, non- st andard
baud r at es ar e also suppor ted.
Not e: I f the ser ial data rate is set to ex ceed t h e

AT Command: ATBD
Binary Command: 0x15 (21 decimal)
Parameter Range (Standard baud rates): 0 – 6
(Non-standard baud rates): 0x7D – 0xFFFF
Number of bytes returned: 2
Default Parameter Value: Set to equal
modem’s factory-set RF data rate.
Minimum firmware version required: 4.2B
(custom baud rates not previously supported)
baud r at es are sent, the closest int erface dat a rate repr esent ed by the num ber is st or ed in t he
BD regist er. For exam ple, a rate of 19200 bps can be set by sending t he following com m and line
"ATBD4B00" . NOTE: When using Digi’s XCTU Sof t w ar e, non-standard interface dat a r at es
can only
be set and r ead using t he XCTU “ Ter m inal” t ab. Non-st andard rat es are not accessible

When t he BD com m and is sent w it h a non- st andar d int erface dat a rat e, t he UART will adj ust t o
accom m odat e t he requested int erface rate. I n m ost cases, t he clock resolution will cause t he
