• Before installing this child restraint in a vehicle, be
sure to also check the vehicle owner’s manual for
information on proper installation.
• DO NOT use child restraint in any configuration not
shown in the instructions.
• Use ONLY with children who weigh 40–120 lb (18–54 kg)
AND whose height is 38–63 in (97–160 cm).
• WARNING! Use ONLY the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt
system when restraining the child in this booster seat.
NEVER use with ONLY a vehicle lap belt to restrain a
child. This could result in serious injury or death.
• ALWAYS make sure the vehicle seat belt can properly
retract before each use.
• NEVER leave your child unattended.
• NEVER install in rear-facing, side-facing or on the
back of a folded down vehicle seat.
• ALWAYS install this child restraint in the rear vehicle seat.
• DO NOT use this child restraint unless there is a
vehicle headrest for that seating position.
• DO NOT use this child restraint with any other backrest
or cushions.
• ALWAYS secure the child restraint using the vehicle
belt, even when it is unoccupied. It could injure other
occupants in a sudden stop or collision.

injure your child.

EXPIRATION
• DO NOT use the child restraint if any part is damaged
or broken, expired (over 8 years from date of purchase),
missing instructions, or missing parts. Call to find out
if the parts can be replaced.

SAFE PRACTICES
• DO NOT leave loose objects, such as books, bags,
etc., in the back of the vehicle. In the event of a sharp
turn, sudden stop, or crash, loose objects can be
thrown around and possibly cause serious injury to
vehicle occupants.
• DO NOT use with hot liquids as this could burn a child.
DO NOT PLACE A CHILD RESTRAINT IN
THE FRONT SEAT OF A VEHICLE WITH A
PASSENGER AIR BAG. DEATH OR
SERIOUS INJURY MAY OCCUR.
If an air bag inflates, it can hit the child or child restraint
with enough force to cause SERIOUS INJURY OR
DEATH TO YOUR CHILD.
The back seat is the safest place for children 12 and
under. Refer to your vehicle owner’s manual for
information on your child restraint installation.

VEHICLE SEAT BELT SYSTEMS
According to accident statistics, children are safer when
properly restrained in the rear seating positions than in
the front seating positions.
The safest seating position is one that works best for
your specific child restraint, family and vehicle model.
Before installing this child restraint you must determine
the method of installation and the best vehicle seating
position for that method.
VEHICLE SEATING LOCATIONS
IMPORTANT: Some vehicle seat belt systems
cannot be used with this booster seat.
1. ALWAYS install this booster seat in
vehicle seats with 3-point (Lap and
Shoulder) belts.
2. DO NOT install this booster seat in
vehicle seats with a Lap Belt Only.
3. DO NOT install this booster seat in
vehicle seats with Motorized (Automatic)
Vehicle Lap and Shoulder Belts.
4. DO NOT install this booster seat in
vehicle seats with Door Mounted
Vehicle Belts.
5. DO NOT install this booster seat in
vehicle seats with Inflatable Vehicle
Belts.

CANADA
• DO NOT USE THIS CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM IF
IT HAS BEEN IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
• Transport Canada designates that you MUST
replace this child restraint if it has been involved in
a collision, even if you cannot see visible damage. A
damaged child restraint may not protect your child in
a future collision.
UNITED STATES
The U.S. National Highway Trac Safety Administration
(NHTSA) recommends that car seats be replaced
following a MODERATE or SEVERE collision in order to
ensure a continued high level of collision protection for
child passengers.
Car seats do not automatically need to be replaced
following a MINOR collision. NHTSA defines a MINOR
collision as ALL of the following:
• The vehicle was able to be driven away from the
collision site; AND
• The vehicle door nearest the car seat was not
damaged; AND
• No vehicle occupants were injured; AND
• There is no visible damage to the car seat; AND
• The air bags (if present) did not deploy.
NEVER use a car seat that has been involved in a
MODERATE or SEVERE collision.

seat so it is resting firmly on
vehicle seat bottom and touching
the vehicle seat back.
2. Properly position child into installed seat. The child
should be sitting upright and seated all the way back
in the booster seat.
3. Fasten vehicle seat belt across
child. The lap portion of the seat
belt should rest within both lower
belt guides. Make sure the vehicle
seat belt is not twisted and lays
flat across child’s lap, torso and
shoulder.

4. Tighten the seat
belt by pulling the
diagonal shoulder
belt portion in the
direction of the
arrows.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT position the vehicle shoulder belt
over the armrest. It MUST pass through the lower belt guide.
ALWAYS make sure the vehicle seat belt can properly
retract before each use.
NEVER position the shoulder belt loosely or under the
child’s arm or behind their back.
IMPORTANT: The vehicle shoulder belt should lay over
the shoulder and should NOT be touching the child’s neck.
IMPORTANT: When using booster seat in center seating
position, make sure it is stable and does not rock from
side-to-side, otherwise choose a dierent seating position.
PROPER BUCKLE POSITION
IMPORTANT: After booster seat is installed and seat belt
is fastened around child, it is important to confirm correct
seat belt buckle position to ensure secure installation. 2

Buckle is on the outside of lower belt

USING THE SHOULDER BELT

WARNING! If the vehicle shoulder
belt does not correctly fit the child,
then the seat must be used with
the shoulder belt guide strap and
properly adjusted to fit the child.

CUP HOLDERS
Swivel outward to the locked position for
use. Swivel inward to the recessed and
locked position when not in use.

cup holder which could cause it to break.

Diono LLC and Diono Ltd and Diono GmbH warrants its products (car seats, strollers, baby
carriers and accessories) to the original retail purchaser as follows:
Diono warrants to the original consumer purchaser that this product (car seats, strollers, baby
carriers, and accessories) will be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year
from the date of original purchase (the “Warranty Period”). During the Warranty Period, Diono
will, at its option, repair or replace the product if it is found by the manufacturer to be defective
in material or workmanship. Diono reserves the right to discontinue or change: parts, fabrics,
models, or products, or to substitute the product with a comparable model or product.
PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM OR MAIL THE OWNER
REGISTRATION CARD WITHIN (30) DAYS OF PURCHASE
An original receipt from an authorized retailer or diono.com is required to validate your warranty.
Shipping charges are the responsibility of the original consumer purchaser. To expedite the
processing of any future warranty claims and to verify the original date of purchase, please
complete and mail the pre-addressed owner registration card within thirty (30) days of purchase
or register your product online, opting into communication from Diono.
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS
This warranty does not cover the eects of normal wear and tear or damage resulting from
negligence, modification, improper installation, accidents, incorrect washing of covers, misuse,
or abuse of this product. It is expressly agreed that the obligations of Diono and the original
consumer purchaser’s remedies under the limited warranty contained herein are exclusive and
are strictly limited to the repair or replacement of the product. This limited warranty is
conditional upon strict compliance with the provisions of the product instruction manual. In no
event will Diono or the retailer selling the product be liable to you for any damages, including
incidental or consequential damages, arising out of the use or inability to use the product.
The use of non-Diono covers, inserts, toys, accessories, tightening devices, or similar items is
not approved by Diono for use on Diono car seats or strollers. Use of unapproved items could
cause the child restraint or stroller to fail Federal or European safety standards, or may
adversely impact performance in a crash. Use of unapproved items automatically voids the
Diono warranty.
EXTENDED WARRANTY ON 2020 MODEL YEAR ONWARDS STROLLERS AND CAR SEATS
Diono LLC and Diono Ltd warrants ONLY to the original consumer purchaser and only if this
product was purchased (new and unused in an unopened box) from diono.com, and who has
fully registered their product online at diono.com within two (2) months of purchase, that this
product will be free from defects in material and workmanship for an additional two (2) years
(the “Extended Warranty Period”) after the standard one (1) year warranty period has expired.
The complimentary extended warranty applies only in the USA, the UK and Deutschland. An
original receipt is required to validate your warranty. Shipping charges are the responsibility of
the original consumer purchaser. During the Extended Warranty Period, Diono will, at its option,
repair or replace the product if it is found by the manufacturer to be defective in material or
workmanship. Diono reserves the right to discontinue or change: parts, fabrics, models, or
products, or to substitute the product with a comparable model or product. Replacement
product does not extend any warranty period.

(Radian 3R and 3Q, Monterey, Cambria, Everett and Solana series), and strollers (Excurze), in
USA, UK and Deutschland. This extended warranty does not cover fabrics, the eects of normal
wear and tear, or damage resulting from negligence, modification, improper installation,
accidents, airline/transport damage, misuse, or abuse of the product. It is expressly agreed that
the obligations of Diono and the original consumer purchaser’s remedies under the limited
warranty contained herein are exclusive and are strictly limited to the repair or replacement of
the product. This limited warranty is conditional upon strict compliance with the provisions of the
product instruction manual. In no event will Diono be liable to you for any damages, including
incidental or consequential damages, arising out of the use or inability to use the product.
Excluded from the additional warranty are any Nuna, or other branded car seats sold at diono.
com. See additional Warranty Limitations listed above for further details.
LIMITATION OF DAMAGES
The warranty and remedies as set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or
written, express or implied. In no event will Diono or the retailer selling Diono products, be liable
for any damages, including incidental or consequential damages, arising out of the use or
inability to use this product.
LIMITATIONS OF WARRANTIES AND OTHER WARRANTY TERMS AND STATE LAWS
Any implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a
particular purpose, shall be limited to the duration and terms of the express written warranty.
USA: Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion
or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights, which vary from
state to state. Neither Diono, nor the retailer selling this product, authorizes any person to
create for it any other warranty, obligation, or liability in connection with the product.
REFUNDS AND RETURNS
Diono LLC Diono Ltd, and Diono GmbH reserves the right to issue refunds in its sole discretion.
All refund oers expire 35 days after the issuance of a shipping label by Diono. Diono will only
receive returns that have a valid “Return Authorization Number” clearly visible on the return
label provided. Shipping charges are the responsibility of the original consumer purchaser. All
other returns will be refused. ALL returns are subject to inspection and final approval by Diono
LLC, Diono Ltd, and Diono GmbH . The original consumer purchaser assumes risk of lost or
damaged product while in transit to Diono. For more information, please contact Diono

Instruction Manual. In no event will Diono ULC or the retailer selling this product be liable to you
for any damages, including incidental or consequential damages, arising out of the use or
inability to use this product.
LIMITATION OF WARRANTIES AND STATE/PROVINCIAL LAW RIGHTS
The warranty and remedies as set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or
written, express or implied. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any implied warranties,
including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby
disclaimed. Some states/provinces DO NOT allow limitations as to how long an implied warranty

limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have
other rights, which vary from state/province to state/province. Neither Diono ULC. nor the
retailer selling this product has authorized any person to create for it any other warranty,
obligation, or liability in connection with this product.

baby carriers and travel accessories) will be free from defects in material and workmanship for
one (1) year from the date of original purchase (the “Warranty Period”). During the Warranty
Period, Diono ULC will, at its option, repair or replace this product if it is found by the
manufacturer to be defective in material or workmanship. Diono ULC reserves the right to
discontinue or change parts, fabrics, models, or products, or to substitute this product with a
comparable model or product.

Le temps. Il passe si vite… Qui aurait pensé qu’environ
vingt ans se sont écoulés depuis que nous avons fait
nos premiers pas et avons commencé nos activités
commerciales consacrées au voyage en famille.
Le monde a certes beaucoup changé, mais nous
sommes fiers de dire que tel n’est pas notre cas. Bien
sûr, nous avons grandi, mais nous sommes toujours aussi
passionnés par ce que nous faisons aujourd’hui qu’à
cette époque-là.
Notre histoire prend sa source à Seattle, une ville sans
pareil. C’est un endroit où les esprits créatifs et les
innovateurs se côtoient dans un paysage d’aventure; un
endroit où être un peu diérent est la norme de chaque jour.
Avec un amour du design et une compréhension du rôle
parental moderne, nous nous eorçons de créer des

retenue pour enfants. Le non-respect de cette
consigne peut se traduire par des BLESSURES GRAVES

EXIGENCES D’UNE UTILISATION SÉCURITAIRE :
Cette retenue pour enfants est conçue pour utilisation
UNIQUEMENT avec des enfants pesant 40–120 lb (18–54 kg)
ET ceux dont la hauteur se situe 38–63 po (97–160 cm).
AVERTISSEMENT! Utilisez SEULEMENT la ceinture
sous-abdominale et baudrier du véhicule pour retenir
l’enfant dans le siège d’appoint. NE PAS utiliser avec une
ceinture sous-abdominale seulement!

• Lisez toutes les instructions avant d’utiliser cette
retenue pour enfants. Vous pouvez ranger ces
instructions dans la pochette fournie sous la housse
de siège de votre siège d'appoint.
• Avant d’installer ce ensemble de retenue pour enfant
dans un véhicule, assurez-vous de vérifier également
le manuel du propriétaire du véhicule pour obtenir
des informations sur une installation adéquate.
• N’utilisez PAS ce ensemble de retenue pour enfant dans
toute configuration non illustrée dans les instructions.
• Utilisez UNIQUEMENT avec des enfants pesant
40—120livres (18—54kg) ET ceux dont la hauteur se
situe 38—63po (97—160cm).
• AVERTISSEMENT! Utilisez SEULEMENT la ceinture
sous-abdominale et baudrier du véhicule pour retenir
l’enfant dans le siège d’appoint. N’utilisez JAMAIS
avec UNIQUEMENT une ceinture sous-abdominale de
véhicule pour immobiliser un enfant. Cela pourrait
entraîner des blessures graves ou la mort.
• TOUJOURS, Assurez-vous que le harnais de la ceinture
de sécurité est bien rétracté avant l’utilisation.
• NE JAMAIS laisser un enfant sans surveillance.
• NE JAMAIS installer en mode orienté vers l’arrière,
face au côté ou sur un siège de véhicule rabattu.
• Installez TOUJOURS ce siège d’appoint sur le siège
arrière du véhicule.
• N’utilisez PAS ce siège d’appoint à moins qu’il n’y ait
un repose-tête de véhicule pour cette position assise.
• N’utilisez PAS ce ensemble de retenue pour enfant
avec tout autre dossier ou coussin.
• Fixez TOUJOURS le ensemble de retenue pour
enfant à l’aide de la ceinture de véhicule même si le
siège n’est pas occupé. Le siège peut blesser les
autres occupants du véhicule en cas d’arrêt soudain
ou d’un accident.
• N’utilisez PAS tout accessoire, option ou produit non
inclus avec ce ensemble de retenue pour enfant, à
moins qu’approuvé par Diono. Les articles non testés
avec ce siège d’appoint peuvent blesser votre enfant.
• NE modifiez PAS votre ce ensemble de retenue pour enfant.
• N’orez JAMAIS ce ensemble de retenue pour
enfant à une autre personne sans également lui
fournir le manuel d’instructions.

• NE PAS utiliser le ensemble de retenue pour enfant
si une pièce est endommagée ou brisée, s’il est
expiré (plus de 8 ans se sont écoulés depuis la date
d’achat), des instructions sont manquantes, ou des
pièces sont manquantes. Appelez pour savoir les
pièces peuvent être remplacées.

PRATIQUES SÉCURITAIRES
• NE PAS laisser des objets tels que des livres, des
sacs, etc., à l’arrière du véhicule. En cas d’un virage
abrupt, d’un arrêt brusque ou d’un accident, des
objets pourraient être projetés et causer des
blessures graves aux occupants du véhicule.
• N’utilisez PAS le siège avec des liquides chauds, car
cela pourrait brûler l’enfant.

Si un coussin gonflable se déploie, il pourrait frapper
l’enfant ou le ensemble de retenue avec
susamment de force pour causer DES BLESSURES
GRAVES OU LE DÉCÈS DE VOTRE ENFANT.
Le siège arrière est le meilleur endroit pour les
enfants de 12 ans et moins. Pour les véhicules dotés
de coussins gonflables latéraux, veuillez vous référer
au manuel de votre véhicule pour les informations sur
l’installation de système de retenue pour enfant.
MISE EN GARDE!
• TOUJOURS vérifier toutes les surfaces de retenue
avant de sécuriser votre enfant. Par temps chaud, les
mécanismes de verrouillage peuvent devenir très
chauds. Ne laissez pas les enfants jouer avec les
ceintures de sécurité du véhicule.
• Certains systèmes de ceinture de siège de véhicule
ne peuvent pas être utilisés avec ce siège d’appoint.
Lisez le manuel du propriétaire du véhicule et la
section « Systèmes de ceinture de siège de véhicule
» de ce manuel.

Selon les statistiques sur les accidents, les enfants sont
plus en sécurité attachés dans les sièges arrière plutôt
que dans les sièges avant.
La position la plus sécuritaire du siège d’auto est celle
qui convient le mieux à votre siège de voiture spécifique,
à votre famille et au modèle de véhicule.
Avant d’installer ce ensemble de retenue pour enfant,
vous devez déterminer la méthode d’installation et le
siège le plus adapté du véhicule pour cette méthode.

IMPORTANT: Certains systèmes de
ceinture de siège de véhicule ne peuvent
pas être utilisés avec ce siège d’appoint.

1. Installez TOUJOURS ce siège
d’appoint dans des sièges de véhicule
avec des ceintures en 3 points
(ceinture sous-abdominale et diagonale).
2. N’installez PAS ce siège d’appoint dans
des sièges de véhicule avec uniquement
une ceinture sous-abdominale.
3. N’installez PAS ce siège d’appoint dans
des sièges de véhicule avec des ceintures
sous-abdominales et diagonales de
véhicule motorisées (automatiques).
4. N’installez PAS ce siège d’appoint
dans des sièges de véhicule avec des
ceintures de véhicule montées à la porte.
5. N’installez PAS ce siège d’appoint
dans des sièges de véhicule avec des
ceintures de sécurité gonflables.

CANADA – UTILISATION D’UN SIÈGE D’AUTO POUR
ENFANT APRÈS UNE COLLISION
 NE PAS UTILISER CE ENSEMBLE DE RETENUE
POUR ENFANT S’IL A ÉTÉ IMPLIQUÉ DANS UN
ACCIDENT DE VOITURE.
• Transports Canada stipule qu’il FAUT remplacer un
siège d’auto pour enfant s’il a été impliqué dans
une collision, même s’il ne présente pas de signes
visibles de dommage. Un siège endommagé pourrait
ne pas protéger adéquatement l’enfant dans une
autre collision. Un ensemble de retenue pour enfant
endommagé pourrait ne pas protéger votre enfant
dans un futur accident.
ÉTATS-UNIS – UTILISATION D’UN SIÈGE D’AUTO POUR
ENFANT APRÈS UNE COLLISION
Aux États-Unis, la National Highway Trac Safety
Administration (NHTSA) recommande de remplacer
tout siège d’auto pour enfant à la suite d’une collision
MODÉRÉE ou GRAVE afin de maintenir un niveau élevé
de protection pour l’enfant en cas de collision. 
Il n’est pas obligatoire de remplacer un siège d’auto pour
enfant à la suite d’une collision LÉGÈRE. La NHTSA
définit une collision LÉGÈRE comme une collision
répondant à TOUS les critères suivants:
• On a pu conduire le véhicule pour quitter la scène de
l’accident; ET
• La portière du véhicule la plus proche du siège
d’auto pour enfant n’a pas été endommagée; ET
• Aucun des occupants du véhicule n’a été blessé; ET
• Le siège d’auto pour enfant ne présente aucun
dommage visible; ET
• Les coussins gonflables (si le véhicule en est doté) ne
se sont pas déployés.
NE JAMAIS UTILISER un siège d’auto pour enfant qui a
été impliqué dans une collision MODÉRÉE ou GRAVE.
