Firmware notes
Runtime:
•This firmware has a 10 minutes runtime and cannot be modified.
•The parking lights will flash every two seconds during runtime, by default. If this does not occur, you can select a different option in
the Data Feature Configuration when flashing your module.
SmartStart Compatible:SmartStart is equipped with D2D, which means it can be connected to an interface module.
Unless specified otherwise, all connectors are displayed from the wire side, with the exception of the OBDII diagnostic connector.
Refer to the "Vehicle connections" following the installation diagram.
Conditions and Limitations
Vehicle must be locked and armed for at least 45 seconds before remote starting.
The remote start system will not work in the following conditions:
The vehicles ignition has not been cycled for 4 days or more.
The ignition is on.
The alarm system is triggered.
The doors/hood are open.
The transmission is not in Park (P).
The vehicle battery voltage is too low.
The service engine light is on.

Module programming
Refer to “LED diagnostics and troubleshooting” for more information and for troubleshooting purposes.
1Connect the 10-pin, 12-pin, and 14-pin harnesses to DB3 and wait until the LED turns
ON solid red.
2Press the PTS button twice to turn the ignition ON.
The LED will flash green quickly.
3Wait for the LED will turn on solid green for 3 seconds and then turn off.
You have successfully completed the module programming sequence.
