START HERE This section highlights important information for this specific firmware and will assist in pricing accordingly, as
well as bringing awareness to any operational or vehicle limitations.

Firmware notes
8-Channel Gateway: This Firmware requires the vehicle's 8-Channel Gateway status to be Enabled. Before proceeding with
the complete installation, a pre-installation & module programming test is required. If the test is unsuccessful, you must have the
8-Channel Gateway enabled by the Nissan dealer. See the "Pre-Installation Module Programming Test" section fro more details.
Unlock and Unlock all: For driver priority unlock or unlock all, this feature must be selected in the vehicle's settings menu by the user.
Autolights: Shutdown time will depend on the vehicle's setting selected by the user.
Remote start: All vehicle doors must be closed and vehicle must be locked for the remote start to be operational.
Unless specified otherwise, all connectors are displayed from the wire side, with the exception of the OBDII diagnostic connector.
Refer to the "Vehicle connections" following the installation diagram.

[1] Hood pin: The installation of an aftermarket hood pin is only required on vehicles that are not equipped with a factory
hood pin, or if not supported in data.
[2] Tach: The tach wire is an optional connection required on some remote starters, which do not support a tach signal in D2D.
[3] Power liftgate: This connection is only required if equipped with power liftgate. Doors must be unlocked for proper
operation of the power liftgate.
[4] Hazards light: This connection is optional but is required for vehicles without autolights. It is also required for shutdown
diagnostics and/or hybrid system installations as well as using CAR FINDER.

Pre-Installation Module Programming Test
To test your module, make the connections as shown on the wiring diagram below. When the connections are done, refer to the following section to program your module.
This Firmware requires the vehicles "8-Channel Gateway" to be Enabled. Before proceeding with the complete install, it is recommended that the following test is performed.
If the test programming is unsuccessful, you must have the gateway enabled by the Nissan dealer.

Module Programming Test
Ensure vehicle is in a safe location and cannot move forward during programming. For vehicles
equipped with a manual transmission, make sure the gearshift is in the neutral position.
Press the Push-to-Start (PTS) button once (1) to turn the ignition on.
The LED quickly flashes orange and turn green for one second, then slowly flashe orange.

Connect the 14-pin harness.
When the LED turns ON solid red, proceed with the next step.

If the LED slowly flashes orange, you can proceed with a full installation as your vehicle does not require scan tool modifications from the
Nissan dealer. However, if the LED flashes red 3 times, you must visit the Nissan dealer and have them enable the “8-Channel Gateway.”
Please refer to the “Activating 8-Channel Gateway” section for additional details.
Note: If you are unable to have the vehicle return to the dealership, or they are unwilling to make the changes, you may use the
NISSRS01 Firmware (see installation guide for more details).

Activating 8-Channel Gateway
Note: If the Pre-Installation Module Programming Test was successful, skip this page
and proceed with the full installation.
To set the 8-Channel Gateway to Open Mode:
1. Click .
A new page will appear with a CGW Information tab, and a
Restricted Mode tab directly under it.
2. In the bottom right corner of the screen, click to change the
status from Restricted to Open.
A new page will appear requesting your credentials.
3. Enter your credentials and click Submit/Soumettre.
A new page will appear as the system changes the status from
Restricted Mode to Open Mode. The circle next to CGW
Information will be green instead of red.
You are now able to program your module.
Note: Print this page for the customer for them to bring it to the
dealership, in order for them to follow the proper steps.
