DOD DP4 User manual
DP4 is a hardwire kit that directly supplies power to your DOD dash cam from vehicle baery based on remaining
voltage measurement. The power consumpon will cut-off automacally if the voltage drops below 11.5V, to
reserve the minimum crank voltage allowing your vehicle to start and recharge when driven.
DOD Tech and its affiliates, successors, distributors, contractors, employees, and other representaves
(hereaer referred to as DOD Tech) shall in no way be responsible for this product’s improper use and service.
Buyer should acknowledge that he/she is not relying on DOD Tech’s skill or judgment as to whether the product is
suitable for the installaon. BUYER HEREBY WAIVES ALL REMEDIES OR LIABILITIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED,
ARISING BY LAW OR OTHERWISE (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, FITNESS, MERCHANTABILITY,
AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES) WHETHER OR NOT OCCASIONED BY DOD TECH’S NEGLIGENCE.
DOD Tech assumes no liability regarding the improper installaon or misapplicaon of its Products. It is the
installer’s responsibility to check for proper installaon and, if in doubt, contact the manufacturer. Under no
circumstance will DOD Tech be liable for any damages or expenses by reason of use or sale of this Product.
◎Make sure that the engine is not running before installaon, fail to do so may cause electrical shock and or other
serious injuries.
◎Note that DOD Tech is not liable for any damage of DP4 and or the installed vehicle caused by customer error
including but not limited to modificaons or incorrect installaon.
◎Actual performance may vary by the status/state of the installed vehicle.
The installaon of this product indicates that the BUYER has read and understands this

Firmly connect the DP4 module to the fuse adapter using the red cable and then secure the grounding cable.
Tuck wires to desired locaon and plug car charger from the dash cam into the cigaree lighter socket of the DP4.
Plug in the USB connector into the dash cam to finish the installaon and allow recording to start immediately. If
dash cam is not previously installed, please refer to the user manual of your DOD dash cam model.

Locate and open the fuse box in your vehicle compartment, usually located under or on the side of the dashboard
from the driver’s side. Please refer to the owner’s manual of your vehicle.

When device is supplied by 12V power source
*If you accidentally push the button to the wrong voltage setting that is
opposite to your vehicle’s battery spec, the device will not turn on and the
vehicle may not be able to turn on. Simply flick the switch to appropriate
setting to resume proper function.

Low-Profile Mini-Fuse Set
Find a fuse that provides constant power, usually can use “Alarm” or “Dome light”. Use a mul-meter and refer to
the owners’ manual to verify a constantly powered fuse slot.
Remove the exisng fuse and plug into the according type of fuse adapter from DP4 package, then plug in the
secondary fuse (Rated maximum 2A) into the adapter’s empty slot.
