Store thecameraat lowertemperaturestoreducetherateofself-dischargeand preservesthe
initialenergystored inthebattery.Thebatteryinthedeviceself-dischargesnaturallyovertime
whetherthebatteryis used ornot.
Chargethedash camerafor5 minuteswiththesuppliedDODpowercordif youareunableto
turn onthecamera.

Setting Up Your Camera
Set upyourDashCaminside yourvehicletoensureeasyaccess topower.
1. StartWithSDCard.
TousewithSDcard,pleaseformatthe microSDcardinthe cameramenutoensurecorrect
format beforeinitialuse. Memorycardmust beinFAT32format tofunction properly.
Cardslot isdirectionaland maybedamagedifSDcardisinsertedincorrectly.
Tosaverecorded videosstably,DODTechrecommendsformattingyourSDcardeverytwo
weeks frominthecamera
Note:Afterformatting the SDcard,all of yourdatawill bedeleted.Besure
that you havebacked up the importantfiles.

2. Connect thePowerAdapter.
Plugthe DODpoweradapterintoyourvehicle’spower/accessoryoutlet.
Then carefullyinsert themicroUSB plugintothe USBport.
3. Turnon Your Vehicle.
Poweringfromyourvehiclethroughtheaccessorysocket will automaticallyturnonyour
cameraand startsrecording, and yourcamerawill stop recordingandshutsoff
automaticallywhen poweristurned off.
Note: Inspecified cars,the powermaybe constantlysuppliedtothedevice
even when theengineisturnedoff. Thismaydrainthevehiclebattery. The
optionalDODDP4kitequippedwithlow-voltage protection andisdesigned
topreventbatterydrainage.

*TheDashCamwill turnonandoff automaticallywiththe powersupplyfromyourvehicle.

SelecttheSpeedUnitofYour
Choice
Upon poweringup thecameraforthe firsttimeorafterupgradingthefirmwareon the
device, you willneed togothroughandinputthe Settingsbelow.
SelectLanguage
Select the languageofyourchoicebypressing p/q】.
Press /】toproceed.
Set the timezone
Scroll downandselectyourrespectivetimezone.
Press /】toconfirm.
Yourcamerawill automaticallysyncwiththetimeanddatetothe atomicclock baseonthe
chosentimezone.
Note: Daylight saving timerequiresadjustment manually.

1. CleanWindshield
Wipedownboththe interiorandexteriorglass forthebest imagequality.
2.AttachtheMounttoYour Camera
Attachthecamerasecurelytothe mount
Pleaseinsert MicroSDcardtotheunit.
3. PreparetheCamerafor Installation
Peeloff theprotectivemount cover.
Find alocationwhichdoesnotobstructyourviewwhen driving.
It isrecommendedtoplacethecamerabehindtherearviewmirrorwithoutblockingeither
lensesorcamerafunctions.
DODTechrecommendstoplacethe rearcamat the top centerofyourrearglass forbest
imagesand shortesthangingwiresafterinstallation.
4.Adjust theAngle
Themounthasan adjustableball jointthat canbeloosenedusing
the plasticlockingnut.
Angleyourcameraslightlybelowthe horizon line tominimizeglare.
Press themountfirmlyagainst theglass andturnthemountnut
clockwisetosecurethe
mount.
Rearcameracan be adjustedbytwist motiontoaimupwardsor
downwardstosuit theangleofyourrearglass.
5.InstalltheCar PowerAdaptor
Ifyou havenotdone sopreviously,carefullyinsertthemicroUSBplugintotheporton the
camera, and insert the poweradapterintothecigarettelightersocketofyourcar.
Thewiringcan be hidden intheheadliner, seamsandrubberstripsaroundtheperimeter
ofthewindshield.
6. RemovetheLensProtector Film
Your cameraisnowinstalledand readyfordailyuse.
Note:
Always usethe supplied DODcarpoweradaptortoavoidthe unexpected
damage.
If grease,fingerprints,orblotsarefound on theexternal/internalwindshield
ofthe car,pleasewipeitclean orreplacethe windshield.Blotsmayaffect
the recording qualityormaycausethebracket tobe unstable.
Due tovariousroadconditionindifferentcountries,DODTech
recommendssettingthe
G-Sensorsensitivityaccordinglytosuitdriving environmentsinyour
country.

EverydayOperation
Dashcamwill automaticallyturnon and startrecordingwhen it startsreceivingpower. By
default, the camerawillrecordovertheoldestvideoswhen the memorycardisfull (loop
recording).Theprotectfilescantakeupto30%offull SDcardspace, and notbe over
written bynormalrecordingfiles.Whenreaching30%limit, filesinRO (Read Only)folder
will be overwritten bynewest protected file, startingwiththe oldest.
ContinuouslyPoweredElectricalOutlet
Thecamerawill not automaticallyshut downwhen yourvehicleisturned off If yourvehicle
providescontinuouslypowertotheaccessoryoutlet. Toturnoffyourcameramanually,
simplyunplugtheUSBcableorpress the powerbutton can powerbutton.
Continuouslypowered electricaloutletallowsthecameratocapturevideos
whileyouareawaybutitwill resultinvehiclebatterydrainageand may
eventuallypreventyourcarfromstarting.DODTechrecommend touse
DP4 powerkit forneedsof parking surveillance.
ManuallyTurning On/OffYour Camera

Press 】tobegin/stoprecording.
VideoDirectory:
Videoswill be saved onthememorycardandorininternalstorage.Normaldrivingvideos
areinthe rootdirectoryand theprotectedfileswillbe saved inthe “RO”(Read Only)file.
File-naming for frontcamera: 2017_0125_180946_001F
File-naming for rearcamera: 2017_0125_180946_002R
Blue numbersequenceinexampleaboveindicatesyear/month/day,
Green numbersequenceindicatestimein24Hformat includingseconds,
Orangelettersindicatesfilerecordedfromfront orrearcamera.
