THE USE OF WATER OR SLEEP FLOTATION MATTRESSES IS PROHIBITED.

THE MATTRESS PLATFORM IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT A MATTRESS WITHOUT THE NEED
FOR A POSTURE BOARD OR BOX SPRING.
ALWAYS USE THE RECOMMENDED SIZE MATTRESS OR MATTRESS SUPPORT, OR BOTH, TO

USE ONLY COIL SPRING MATTRESSES ON BOTH THE UPPER AND LOWER BUNKS. FAILURE

USE ONLY MATTRESSES WHICH ARE 74"-75" LONG AND 37 1/2" - 38 1/2" WIDE ON UPPER
BED AND 74"-75" LONG AND 53" - 54" WIDE ON LOWER BED. ENSURE THICKNESS OF
MATTRESS DOES NOT EXCEED 6". SURFACE OF MATTRESS MUST BE AT LEAST 5" (127MM)

BED IS DESIGNED FOR CHILDREN RANGING FROM 6 YEARS OF AGE TO YOUNG
TEENAGERS.

READ EACH STEP CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT EACH STEP
OF INSTRUCTION IS PERFORMED IN THE CORRECT ORDER. IF THESE STEPS ARE NOT
FOLLOWED IN SEQUENCE, ASSEMBLY DIFFICULTIES WILL OCCUR AND CAN RESULT IN
INJURY.
MAKE SURE ALL PARTS ARE INCLUDED. WORK IN SPACIOUS AREA, PREFERABLY ON A
SMOOTH SOFT SURFACE.
ASSEMBLY WILL REQUIRE TWO PEOPLE.
MOST BOARD PARTS ARE LABELED OR STAMPED ON THE RAW EDGE.
PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER (NOT INCLUDED) IS REQUIRED.
A RUBBER MALLET (NOT INCLUDED) IS RECOMMENDED TO FACILITATE ASSEMBLY.
WARNING: Should this product become damaged,
and/or components are broken or missing, DO NOT USE.
CARE AND CLEANING
Dust regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth to prevent soil build-up. A damp cloth may be
used occasionally to clean surface. Dry immediately. Do not use any abrasives that
may damage finish. Excessive exposure to sunlight and extreme changes in
temperature and moisture can damage wood furniture.
MAINTENANCE
Check bolts/screws periodically and tighten them if necessary.
LIMITED WARRANTY
Dorel warrants its product to be free from defects in material and workmanship and
agrees to remedy any such defect. This warranty covers 1 year from the date of
original purchase. This warranty is valid only upon presentation of proof of purchase.
This is solely limited to the repair or replacement of defective furniture components
and no assembly labor is included. This warranty does not apply to any product which
has been improperly assembled, subjected to misuse or abuse or which has been
altered or repaired in any way. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you
may also have other rights which vary from State to State.

Repeat this step to attach full headboard top cross (X) to full headboard top rail (G).

STEP 1
Insert wood dowels (7) into the holes of the twin headboard top rail (F).
Attach twin headboard top cross (U) to twin headboard top rail (F) with flat head screws
(13) using a Phillips screwdriver (not included).

NOTE: One of the end of full headboard top rail (G) has metal dowel hole on it. Be sure to
attach the bottom post (E) in this end for first headboard and attach the bottom post (D) in this
end for second headboard.
NOTE: It may require to make full headboard top cross (X) and full headboard bottom cross
(Z) further apart or closer in order to align wood dowels (7) with holes in bottom posts (D and
E).

STEP 2
Insert wood dowels (7) into the ends of full headboard top cross (X) and full headboard
bottom cross (Z). Insert full headboard panel (Y) into the grooves of the full headboard top
cross (X), then push the full headboard bottom cross (Z) up to firmly secure it in place. Attach
bottom posts (D) & (E) with wood joint connectors (3) using hex key (8).

NOTE: Be sure to use twin headboard top cross (U) with warning label attached to it
between top posts (A) and (C). See illustration for label orientation.
Repeat this step to assemble the other twin headboard using top posts (A & C).

STEP 3
Insert wood dowels (7) into the ends of twin headboard top cross (U) and twin headboard
bottom cross (W). Insert twin headboard panel (V) into the grooves of the twin headboard
top cross (U), then push the twin headboard bottom cross (W) up to firmly secure it in
place. Attach top posts (A & B) using wood joint connectors (3) as shown. Tighten the wood
joint connectors (3) with the hex key (8).

Note: This is the lower bunk.
Attach the two full size headboards to bottom side rails (K) with joint connectors (1) and
barrel nuts (9) using the hex key (8).

Attach a bottom slat without hole (S) to the bottom side rails (K) with flat head screws (4).
Make sure the slat touches the corner posts (as close to the headboard as possible).
Attach slats (A1) to the bottom side rails (K) with flat head screws (4). Use space block
(C1) to space them out evenly as shown.
Use a Phillips screwdriver (not included) to tighten the flat head screws.

NOTE: If you notice that any of the slats (S & A1) are not perfectly flat, be sure to
assemble them so that the slats (S & A1) curves up in the middle and down on the ends.

STEP 6
Attach the support posts (B1) to bottom slats with holes (A1) with joint connectors (10)
using the hex key (8).

Insert barrel nuts (9) into the top side rails (I and J).
Insert wood dowel (7) into each end of the long guardrails (M).
Attach top side rails (I and J) to the top posts (A, B & C) as shown above with joint
connectors (1) and barrel nuts (9).
Attach long guardrails (M) to the top posts (B & A) with wood joint connectors (3).
Tighten the joint connectors (1) and wood joint connectors (3) with the hex key (8).
Note: This is the upper bunk.

Insert wood dowel (7) into each end of the short guardrails (N).
Attach two short guardrails (N) to short guardrail post (H) with wood joint connectors (3).
Fasten two short guardrails (N) to top post (A) with wood joint connectors (3).
Fasten the short guardrail post (H) to front side rail (I) with joint connectors (10) and hex
caps (11) as shown.

Attach the guardrail leg (R) to short guardrails (N) and front side rail (I) with flat head
screws (6).
Attach the other guardrail leg (R) to long guardrails (M) and back side rail (J) with flat head
screws (6).
Use a Phillips screwdriver (not included) to tighten the flat head screws.

Insert slats (L) into the remaining holes on the top side rails (I & J) of the upper bunk.
Secure slats (L) to the top side rails (I & J) with flat head screws (4) using a Phillips
screwdriver (not included).
Insert two slats (T) into the center slots of the top side rails (I & J) of the upper bunk as
shown.

Insert four metal dowels (5) into the holes in the full headboard top rails (G).
Stack the top bunk onto the bottom bunk with the help of another person.

To assemble the ladder, insert wood dowels (7) into the end of the ladder steps (Q).
Attach left ladder end (O) and right ladder end (P) to ladder steps (Q) with wood joint
connectors (2).
Tighten the wood joint connectors (2) with the hex key (8).
