PURPOSE
The following procedure assumes you are installing a
Model9610 dispensing mechanism intoaModel 9600
ATM chassis.
PARTS SUPPLIED
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. OpentheATMcontrolpanelandensurethepower
switch (on the power supply panel) is set to the
OFF(0) position.
2. Unlockandopenthesecuritycabinet door.Extend
theslidetray fully.Setthe9610dispenserontothe
tray. Turnthe dispenser so that therearof the unit
(where the power and data cable connectors are
located) may be accessed.
3. LocatetheDCPower and EJ-to-Dispenser (Data)
cables. Connect the cables to the mating
connectors located on the back of the dispenser.
NOTE: Make sure the white strain clip on the
DC Power Cable is pointing down. Make sure
thethumbscrewsontheEJ-to-Dispensercableare
tightened.
4. Turn the dispenser around with the cables facing
thebackofthecabinetandalign the tabsandholes
in the bottom of the dispenser with the mounting
holes in the tray. Attach the dispenser to the tray
using four included 3/8-inch (9 mm) Pan Head
Phillips Screws (two on each side).

5. Place the cable clip over the DC Dispenser Power
CableandtheEJ-to-Dispenser(Data)cable. Attach
the cable clip to the back right flange on the
dispenserusingthe included #8-32 screw/nut.
6. Slide the tray into the cabinet and back out again.
Make sure the cables are free to move and do not
catch on anything.
7. Loadthecurrency cassette with currency. Affixthe
proper denomination label to the cassette, as
needed.Slide the dispenser back intothecabinet.
Close and lock the cabinet door.
8. Turn the ATM power switch to the ON (I) position.
Close and lock the control panel.
Attach the dispenser to the tray with two screws on
each side.
Attach the cable clip to the lower rear
flange of the dispenser.
The cables should be routed through the back slide
rail as shown.
