SERVICETIPS
Beforeworking on machinedisconnectfrom power
supplybyremoving plug fromsocket.
Wearprotectiveglasses!

1.One dropofoil betweenknife(11)andhead-casting (1)keepsthe
spacing shims(15)inplace.
2.DismantleSpring cover(20)and takespring out (19).
3.Takecirclip(16)andwasher(17)off.
4.Pushknifepin(18)out ofcasting.
5.Takeknifeout ofhousing
6. Attention, do not exchange thespacing shims(15).
7.Placethe knifeinside the housingfeed shimsinon one side and
pushknifepin(18)intohousing uptothe middleofthe knife.
8.Feed theshimson the otherside ofthe knife.
9.Pushknifepinincompletely, and securewasher(17)andcirclip
(16)again.
10.Assemblespring(19)andspringcover(20).
11.Betweenthe knife(11)andthe jaws(10)shouldbe some
distance, approximately0,1mm oneachside. Knife(11)must be
placed tight inthe headcasting.
12.Adjustment forthe playbetween thejaws. (a): 0,1-0,15 mm.
13.If knifehascontact withthe jawsonbothsides, adjust withscrews
inthe head casting.
If aburrison the material, adjust the spacebetween theknifeand
the jaws.

1.ThisPowerToolisintended forindustrialapplications, forcutting
sheet metalmax. capacityisindicated inthe technicaldata. Do
not cutsheet metalthrough, oralongweldingpoints, ormulti
layersheets, whichexceed the max. cutting capacity. Tocut
spiralwound tubing 4x0.9mm inmetal, the model3514-2or
3514 -7Rmust be used.
ToSwitchON: Slide the switch(82)forward
ToSwitchOFF: Slide the switch(82)tothe rear.
2.The shearmust always beguidedflat and the best cutting result
isachieved,whenthe jawspos.10 arepositioned flatontop of
the material, alsowhen cutting circularcuts.

3.When stopping insidethe material, pull metalshearback
straightoutofthe waste,withmotorinoperation.Iftoo
long cut wasteoff, first.
4.Circularcuts, always cut anticlockwisefromright toleft.
The outsideradiusisunlimited.
5.Forcutting out curvedorinside patternsa12 -14 mm
holemust be drilledorpunched oraslot shouldbe
made toinsert the cutting knife. Squareorrectanglecut-
outs, drill ineachcorneraholebetween12 -14 mm.
6.A one side cut withthe metalshearispossible, asmall
stripcan be easilycut offwithout leavingaburr and any
distortion orscratchmarks.
7.Cutting the sameparts, atemplatecan be
manufactured. Without risk ofdamagingthe knife, acut
alongthe templateispossible. Front pointsofthe jaws
left andright areused tocut exact along amarked line.
Tocut strips, useadjustableguide S/01.Thisguide is
infinitelyvariable, due tothe holeinthe housingandcan
be tightened withthe set screw. Adjustableguide S/01
can be deliveredin100, 250 and in500 mm length.
8.Knifeand jawscan be sharpened. Afterbeing
sharpened orreplaced, the knifeat it’slowest point,
shouldprotrudethe jawsbyabout 2.5mm.Thegap
between theknifeand thejawsshouldbeapproximately
0.1mm on bothsides. Foraburr free cutting adjust the
cutting gap asfollow: Loosenscrew, adjust the gapwith
set screw, tothe left narrow, tothe right wide, and
tighten screwagain. Check gap withafeelergauge.
9.If youread thesesuggestionscarefully, anykind of
materialcanbe cut about 200working hours, before
sharpening knifeandjaws.
10.The materialtobe cut, mustalways be freeofoil or
grease.
Careand Maintenance

Beforerepairing or any maintenance on machine,disconnectfrom
power supplyby removing plug fromsocket.
Always keep the machine and the ventilation slotsclean.
Oil the knifepin 18 and knife 11 at regularintervals.
If themachineshouldhappentofail, despitethe caretaken in
manufactureand testing, repairshouldbe carried out byan authorised
customerservicesagent forDräcopowertools.
Dräcotollscarryaguarantee of24 monthsfromdateof
delivery.
Damage attributabletonormalwearandtear, overload or
improperhandlingwill be excluded fromthe guarantee.
Incaseofcomplaint pleasesend the machine,
