1. Timed Static Mode - Provides a firm support
surface for a healthcare professional to work
on. If not overridden this will revert back to
alternating mode after 20 minutes.
2. Alarm Reset Button - Press to reset and
mute the alarm prior to troubleshooting.
3. Automatic Pressure Controls -
Select LIGHT, MEDIUM or HEAVY depending
on the patients build and morphology. The
pump will automatically adjust the settings
for the patient within the 10 minute cycle time.
Light - 31 - 83kg (4.5 - 13st)
Medium - 70 - 140kg (11 - 22st)
Heavy - 127 - 247Kg (20 - 39st)

Automatic Panel
Lock Out
After 6 minutes of inactivity
the panel will automatically
lock to prevent unauthorised
setting changes. To unlock
hold the LIGHT and HEAVY
buttons simultaneously,
until you hear a beep.
Static Transport Mode
If the pump is disconnected
at the mains the mattress
will retain pressure in static
mode for up to 24 hours.
Alternatively, disconnect
the inflation hoses from
the pump and connect
them together.
Low Pressure /
Mains Failure Alarms
If the pump unit detects
an unusual low pressure
an intermittent alarm will
sound. If the pump unit
detects that the mains
power has been switched/
cut o a constant alarm will
sound. Pressing the ALARM
Reset button will temporarily
mute the alarm.

resumes refer to the
‘Troubleshooting’ section of
the user manual or contact
Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare.
Quick Set-up
1. Remove the existing
mattress and place the
Phase III directly onto the
bed frame with the cells
uppermost and the feed
pipe inflation tubes at the
foot end of the bed.
2. Connect the inflation
tubes to the pump unit; plug
in and turn on via the green
neon switch on the left
hand side of the pump.
3. Select the LIGHT,
MEDIUM or HEAVY setting
relevant to the patients
weight and build. The light
will flash on the chosen
weight setting until the
system has reached the
appropriate pressure.
4. Once the appropriate
pressure is reached the
system will remain in
start-up static mode for 10
minutes. After 10 minutes
the system will automatically
start alternating on the
previous weight setting.
