GARANTIE BELEID / WARRANTY POLICY
De NXT ™ rugleuning heeft een beperkte garantie van 24 maanden vanaf de datum
van levering aan de oorspronkelijke koper. Als er een materiaal- of fabricagefout
wordt vastgesteld, zal de fabrikant het onderdeel naar eigen goeddunken repareren
of vervangen. Deze beperkte garantie dekt geen dagelijkse slijtage of schade dat het
gevolg is van verkeerd gebruik, misbruik, verwaarlozing of het niet opvolgen van de
verzorgings- en onderhoudsinstructies. De hoes heeft 90 dagen garantie. De garantie
omvat schade door vakmanschap, materiaalfouten of fouten veroorzaakt door de
fabrikant. Deze garantie is niet van toepassing op brandplekken van sigaretten, schade
aan de hoes door scherpe voorwerpen, of schade als gevolg van het niet opvolgen van
de wasinstructies. Claims en reparaties moeten worden afgehandeld via uw dichtstbi-
jzijnde erkende dealer. Een kopie van de factuur die is afgegeven aan de koper van het
product kan vereist zijn voordat een garantieclaim kan worden verwerkt.
The NXT Seating Cushion has a Limited Warranty for 24 months from the date of
delivery to the original purchaser. If any defect in material or workmanship is found,
the manufacturer will repair or replace the component, at our discretion. This limited
warranty does not cover daily wear and tear or damage that is a result of mishandling,
misuse, neglect, or not following the care and maintenance instructions. Your cushion
cover is under warranty for 90 days. The warranty includes damage due to workman-
ship, material defects or errors caused by the manufacturer. This warranty does not
apply to cigarette burns, damage to the cover by sharp objects that may cause tears,
or damage as a result of not following the washing instructions. Claims and repairs
should be processed through your nearest authorized Dealer. A copy of the invoice
issued to the purchaser of the product may be required prior to processing a warranty
claim.

1.2 OVERZICHT / OVERVIEW
Belangrijke informatie
De beste manier om problemen met decubitus te voorkomen, is door de oorzaken en uw
rol in het onderhouden van de huid. Raadpleeg uw therapeut en arts als u vragen heeft
over individuele beperkingen en behoeften. Alle kussens moeten zorgvuldig worden
geselecteerd. Met uw therapeut en arts overleggen is de beste manier om er zeker van
te zijn dat het gekozen kussen overeenkomt met uw individuele behoeften. Naarmate
de behoeften van de gebruiker complexer worden, wordt het evalueren van het kussen
belangrijker.
NXT BioFitTM en NüFitTM kussens
De BioFit- en NüFit-kussens zijn voorzien van een meerlaagse schuimcombinatie die
gericht is op huidbescherming daar waar dat het meest nodig is. Daarnaast zorgt deze
combinaite voor een verbeterde stabiliteit, ondersteuning en comfort.
Buitenhoes en binnenhoes
De buitenhoes van de kussens is gemaakt van een materiaal dat koel aanvoelt en
ademend is. Er is ook een incontinentie buitenhoes verkrijgbaar die vloeistofdicht en
gemakkelijk schoon te maken is. De binnenhoes is vloeistofdicht om het schuim te
beschermen. Regelmatige reiniging en inspectie van de hoezen wordt aanbevolen.

Important Information
The best way to avoid problems related to pressure sores is to understand their
causes and your role in a skin management program. Your therapist and physician
should be consulted if you have questions regarding individual limitations and
needs. All cushions should be selected carefully. Working with your therapist and
physician is the best way to assure that a cushion choice matches your individual
needs. As the needs of the individual become more complex, cushion evaluation
becomes more important.
NXT BioFitTM and NüFitTM Cushions
The BioFit and NüFit cushions are designed using a multi-layer foam construction that
targets skin protection where it’s needed most, and features improve stability, support &
comfort.
Outer Cover and Inner Cover
The outer cover for the cushions are made of a material that is cool to sit on and
breathable. There is also an incontinent outer cover available that is uid proof and easy
to wipe clean. The inner cover is uid proof to protect the foam. Regular cleaning and
inspection of the covers is recommended. Refer to Care and Maintenance section

ACCESSOIRES WAARSCHUWING

INSTALLATIE WAARSCHUWING
Zorg ervoor dat na elke afstelling, aanpassing, reparatie of service en vóór gebruik alle
bevestigingscomponenten goed vastzitten. Zorg ervoor dat het zitkussen goed is bevestigd
aan de rolstoel voordat u het gebruikt. Anders kan er letsel of schade optreden. Het installeren
van een kussen op een rolstoel kan het zwaartepunt van de rolstoel beïnvloeden en kan ervoor
zorgen dat de rolstoel onstabiel wordt, met mogelijk letsel tot gevolg.
WAARSCHUWING
De huidconditie moet regelmatig worden gecontroleerd na de installatie van een nieuw
zitsysteem. Uw therapeut en arts dienen te worden geraadpleegd,als u vragen heeft over
individuele beperkingen en behoeften. Samenwerken met uw therapeut, arts en leverancier
van het product is de beste manier om ervoor te zorgen dat het zitsysteem overeenkomt
met uw individuele behoeften. Het BioFit-kussen maakt gebruik van smartGELtm en Visco-
elastisch schuim en is ontworpen om alleen bij kamertemperatuur te worden gebruikt. Als het
product op lagere temperaturen wordt bewaard, laat het dan altijd voor gebruik opwarmen
tot kamertemperatuur. Zitten op extreem koude of hete oppervlakken kan huidbeschadiging
veroorzaken. Vermijd scherpe voorwerpen of blootstelling aan overmatige hitte of open vuur.

ACCESSORIES WARNING
NXT Seating products are specically designed and manufactured for use in conjunction with
NXT accessories. Accessories designed by other manufacturers have not bewen tested by the
manufacturer and are not recommended for use with this product.
INSTALLATION WARNING
After any adjustments, customization, repair or service and before use, make sure that
all attaching components are secure. Ensure the seat cushion is properly secured to the
wheelchair before using. Otherwise injury or damage may occur. Installing a cushion on a
wheelchair may aect the center of gravity of the wheelchair and may cause the wheelchair to
become unstable, potentially resulting in injury.
WARNING
Skin condition should be checked frequently after the installation of any new seating system.
Your therapist and physician should be consulted if you have any questions regarding individual
limitations and needs. Working with your therapist, physician, and equipment supplier is the best
way to assure that a seating choice matches your individual needs. The BioFit cushion utilizes
smartGELtm and Visco elastic foam and is designed to be used only at room temperature. If it is
left at lower temperatures, always allow it to warm to room temperature before using. Sitting
on extremely cold or hot surfaces can cause skin damage. Avoid sharp objects or exposure to
excessive heat or open ame.

3 GEBRUIK / USAGE
3.1 De NXT BioFit- en NüFit-kussens plaatsen
Installing the NXT BioFit and NüFit cushions
1. Plaats het kussen zo dat de identicatielabels (niet getoond) naar achteren gericht zijn.
2. Lijn de klittenbandstrips (niet getoond) aan de onderkant van het kussen uit met die op
de rolstoelzitting.
3. Plaats het kussen zo ver mogelijk naar achteren op de rolstoel.
4. Druk het kussen naar beneden om ervoor te zorgen dat de klittenbandstrips stevig
vastzitten.
5. Plaats het kussen op de rolstoel zodat de achterkant van het kussen,
herkenbaar aan de indentificatielabels, gelijk ligt met de achterkant van de
zitmat of zitplaat. Zorg ervoor dat de lusbevestiging (klittenband) aan de
onderkant van uw kussenhoes vastgrijpt met de haaksluiting (klittenband) op
de zitmat of zitplaat van uw rolstoel.
6. Ga op het kussen zitten en ga zo ver mogelijk naar achteren op het kussen zitten.
Zorg ervoor dat u binnen de ontlastingsgebieden aan de zijkanten van het kussen zit,
dit zorgt ervoor dat uw zitbeenknobbels in de drukverlagende holte van het kussen
worden geplaatst.
7. Pas de hoogte van uw voetenplaat aan zodat uw benen comfortabel op de voorkant
van het kussen rusten. Een nauwkeurige afstelling van de voetplaat is absoluut
noodzakelijk voor optimale kussenprestaties.
1. Position the cushion so the material identication tags (not shown) face the rear.
2. Align the hook and loop strips (not shown) on the bottom of the cushion with
those on the wheelchair seat.
3. Position the cushion onto the wheelchair as far back as possible.
4. Press down to ensure the hook and loop strips are rmly engaged.
5. Place the cushion on the wheelchair so that the rear of the cushion, identiable
by the content tags, is ush with the back of the sling or solid seat. Ensure that the
loop fastener on the bottom of your cushion cover engages with hook fastener on
the sling or solid seat of your wheelchair.
6. Transfer onto the cushion and position yourself as far back on the cushion as possible.
Ensure that you are seated within the relief areas on the sides of the cushion this will
ensure that your ischial tuberosities are positioned in the pressure reducing well of the
cushion.
7. Adjust your footrest height so that your legs rest comfortably on the front
of the cushion. Accurate footrest height is imperative for optimal cushion
performance.

If you are unable to achieve sucient skin protection, postural control,
and/or are unable to tolerate sitting on the cushion for any reason
consult your dealer or healthcare professional about decision to use a
NXT Seating Cushion.
Schema voor eerste gebruik
Het is raadzaam om in het begin een korte tijd op uw kussen zitten. Zorg ervoor
dat u na elk gebruik, visueel elk gebied controleert dat in contact komt met het
kussen. Elke rode plek moet binnen 10-30 minuten wegtrekken. Neem contact op
met uw arts of therapeut als de roodheid langer dan 30 minuten aanhoudt. Zolang
de rode plekken niet langer dan 30 minuten aanhouden, verlengt u de zittijd
geleidelijk (½ tot 1 uur per dag). Ga door met huidcontroles na elke langere zittijd.
Periodes van twee tot vier uur zijn over het algemeen de maximale aanbevolen
tijd in zittende positie. Huidcontroles moeten moeten minimaal dagelijks worden
uitgevoerd, zelfs nadat huidtolerantie is vastgesteld. Ga door met het uitvoeren
van drukontlastingstechnieken zoals geadviseerd door uw zorgverlener.
Initial Use Schedule
It is advisable to sit on your Cushion for short periods of time. Make sure to visually
check any area that contacts the Cushion after each period of use. Any reddened
area should fade within 10-30 minutes. Contact your doctor or therapist if the
redness persists for greater than 30 minutes. As long as skin inspections do not
show red areas persisting more than 30 minutes, extend the length of sitting time
gradually (½ to 1 hour each day). Continue skin checks after each increased sitting
time. Two to four hour periods are the general recommended maximum time in
the sitting position. Skin checks should be made no less than daily, even after skin
tolerance is established. Continue to perform routine intermittent pressure relief
techniques as advised by your healthcare professional.

If any redness associated with the use of the cushion persists for greater
than 30 minutes, then stop sitting on the cushion and contact your ther-
apist or doctor immediately.
Verder advies
Het wordt aanbevolen om uw zithouding en huidintegriteit ten minste jaarlijks te
laten controleren door uw zorgverlener of telkens wanneer u een verandering in
uw gewicht, houding of algemene toestand ervaart, die uw vermogen om veilig,
comfortabel en functioneel te zitten kan beïnvloeden.
Ongoing Follow-up Advised
It is recommended to have your seated posture and skin integrity checked by your
healthcare professional at least annually, or whenever you experience a change in
your weight, posture, or general condition that could impact your ability to sit safely,
comfortably, and functionally.

4 VERZORGING EN ONDERHOUD / CARE AND MAINTENANCE
4.1 Reinigen / Cleaning
Buitenhoes Comfair
De hoes kan worden verwijderd om te wassen. Verwijder de hoes voorzichtig door de
ritssluiting aan de achterkant / zijkanten van het kussen open te ritsen. De ritssluiting
moet vóór het wassen worden gesloten. Machinewas met behulp van de delicate
cyclus met een gewoon wasmiddel en geen bleekmiddel, en hang het droog of in de
droogtrommel op laag vuur.
Buitenhoes incontinent
De hoes kan worden schoongeveegd met een vochtige handdoek. Bovendien kan
de hoes worden verwijderd om te wassen. Verwijder de hoes voorzichtig door de
ritssluiting aan de achterkant / zijkanten van het kussen open te ritsen. De ritssluiting
moet vóór het wassen worden gesloten. Machinewas met behulp van de delicate
cyclus met een gewoon wasmiddel en geen bleekmiddel, en hang het droog of in de
droogtrommel op laag vuur.
Binnenhoes
De binnenhoes kan worden afgenomen met een vochtige doek. De binnenhoes mag
niet van het schuim worden verwijderd.
Outer Cover Comfair
The cover can be removed for laundering. Carefully remove the cover by unzipping
the zipper found on the rear/sides of the cushion. The zipper should be closed prior to
laundering. Machine wash using the delicate cycle using regular detergent and no bleach,
and hang dry or tumble dry on low heat.
Outer Cover Incontinent
The cover can be wiped clean with a damp towel. In addition, the cover can be removed
for laundering. Carefully remove the cover by unzipping the zipper found on the rear/
sides of the cushion. The zipper should be closed prior to laundering. Machine wash
using the delicate cycle using regular detergent and no bleach, and hang dry or tumble
dry on low heat.
Inner Cover
The inner cover can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The inner cover should not be
removed from the foam.
4.2 Inspectie / Inspection
Inspecteer visueel de onderdelen van het zitkussen, inclusief de bekleding, schuim
(indien toegankelijk) en kunststoen, op vervorming, corrosie, scheuren, slijtage of
samendrukking.
Visually inspect parts including upholstery materials, foams (if accessible), and plastics,
for deformation, corrosion, breakage, wear or compression.

Gebruik dit product NIET als er problemen worden geconstateerd.
Reparaties kunnen worden uitgevoerd bij of geregeld worden door uw
hulpmiddelenleverancier.
DO NOT continue to use this product if problems are discovered.
Corrective maintenance can be performed at or arranged through your
equipment supplier.

the product to a dierent user. If any damage is found, DO NOT use the
product. Otherwise injury may occur.
