• Do not allow any pets near the heater when it’s connected to the mains. Make sure you position the heater so
that pets and plants (including those in an aquarium or terrarium) are not affected by the heat.
• Don’t use the appliance in the presence of explosive or inflammable gases, vapours or liquids.
• Please avoid using the appliance in any place where it would be subjected to high temperatures, low
temperatures, physical shocks or vibration. The appliance is designed to be operated and stored in a situation
where temperatures are between +5° and +40° Celsius. Do not use the appliance in a wet or humid
environment.
• Only use the appliance on a stable, level surface. Keep it away from water and make sure it cannot
accidentally slip or fall. If the appliance comes into contact with any kind of moisture or liquid during use,
immediately unplug it from the mains. Do not touch it or attempt to take it out of the liquid until the mains
plug has been removed from the socket. You must not use the appliance again before having it checked and
repaired by a specialist engineer.
• Never use the device in enclosed spaces, such as on a shelf built into furniture. Make sure that there is a
significant gap above the heater, and ensure that there is appropriate ventilation around the heater. Make
sure there are no objects or material near to the inlet and outlet air holes whilst the heater is in use.
• The appliance must only be placed on a heat-resistant, non-inflammable surface. If you intend to use
the appliance on top of furniture, carpet, or parquet flooring, you must place a heat resistant surface of
appropriate size (e.g. a ceramic plate or tile, or a sheet of aluminium or other metal) under the appliance
before starting to use it. The heat-resistant surface must be large enough to ensure that if the appliance is
knocked over, no part of the appliance would touch any inflammable surface. After use, the device must be
stored on the heat-resistant surface until it has completely cooled down.
Attention! Also take care to maintain a minimum distance between the heater and the premises
wall or any other object. This distance must be at least 1.2 m from the front of the device while it
is in operation. A minimum 1-1 m distance from the other device surfaces is sufficient. There must
be no curtains, paper or other inflammable material above the device, even outside the safety
distance.
• Make sure the heater is not likely to fall or to be knocked over when switched on because this could
cause a fire.
• The device can only be operated as a floor-standing unit; it must not be mounted on walls or ceilings.
Using the device in vehicles is not permitted.
• Never use an appliance or accessory that the manufacturer did not supply with or propose for use with the
appliance. The use of such appliances might lead to accidents or irregular function.
• In order to avoid electric shock, never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. Never touch the
appliance with wet hands. Never allow the wall socket to become wet. You must have dry hands when
you plug the mains connector into the wall socket and when you unplug it. If any moisture gets inside the
appliance, immediately stop using it and take it to a service engineer for checking or repair.
