ASSEMBLY
Place the base cover on top of the rubber base and insert the bottom of the extension
pole in the base hole. (see photo below)
Gently lay the base and extension pole on its’ side and screw the black wing nut (found
in plastic bag) onto the bottom of the base securely.
Set the base upright and loosen the white cap on the top of the extension pole and pull
the chrome inner pole up. Tighten the white cap to secure the chrome inner pole in
place.
Pick up the motor housing and look at the bottom. There is a screw that may need to
be loosened but should not be removed. (see photo)
Slip the motor housing onto the chrome pole extension and tighten screw on the motor
housing to secure it in place.
Unscrew and remove the white plastic nut. Place the back grill onto the shaft making
sure it lines up with the pins. (The handle on the back of the grill should be on top)
Replace and tighten the white plastic nut.
Remove and discard the black plastic sheath on the shaft. Place the blades on the shaft
making sure the blades fit securely with the pins. Place the white fan knob (found in
plastic bag) onto shaft. The white fan knob is reverse threaded and must be
turned counter clockwise (or to the left) to tighten securely.


With the fan in an upright position, loosen the screw on the grill ring, but do not remove.
Place the screw end of the grill ring on the bottom of the back grill and gently maneuver
the ring onto the rim of the back grill as you work your way up the sides of the rim.
Starting at the bottom, gently snap the front grill into the grill ring, working your way up
the sides of the rim until it’s in place.
Tighten the grill ring screw with a Phillips head screwdriver until there is approximately a
¼” or more gap between the 2 ends of the grill ring. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CLOSE
THE GAP.
To adjust the height of the extension pole, unscrew the white cap slightly until the chrome
inner pole is able to slide up and down. Adjust the pole to your desired height and tighten
the knob securely. Do NOT hang the fan or place anything on the fan.
To adjust the tilt of the fan head, unscrew the tilt head knob slightly and push or pull the
fan head back or forward gently until you get the right angle for your purposes. Tighten
the tilt head knob securely.
To operate the oscillation feature, push down on the oscillation knob. To stop the
oscillation feature, pull up on the oscillation knob. To move the fan, use the handle on the
back of the motor housing.
To control the speed of the fan, use the control buttons on the front of the fan motor
housing. (0) is OFF, (1) is LOW, (2) is MEDIUM, and (3) is HIGH.

GENERAL INFORMATION AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE READ AND SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE PEDESTAL FAN.
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be observed, including
the following.
1. Always turn the fan off before removing the plug from the outlet.
2. Always turn the fan off and unplug it before cleaning.
3. To protect against electrical hazards, do not place the fan in water or other liquids.
Do not allow the fan to become wet or damp.
4. Do not connect the fan to a power supply until the fan is FULLY assembled.
5. Do not leave the fan unattended when it is plugged in. Turn the fan off when leaving
the fan for an extended period.
6. Use the fan only for its intended use as described in these operating instructions.
7. Do not operate any appliance if its cord or plug is damaged, after the appliance has
malfunctioned, or after it has been dropped or damaged in any way. Always follow
the warranty instructions.
8. Place fan on a dry, flat, level surface to avoid it overturning.
9. Avoid contact with moving parts.
10. Never drop or insert any object into any opening. Do not insert any objects into the
area protected by the wire grills. Do not spray anything into the fan.
11. Do not obstruct the airflow.
12. Do not operate the fan without the wire grills.
13. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is operated near children.
14. To maintain operating efficiency, do not operate the fan 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
15. Do not run the cord under carpeting or cover with throw rugs, runners or similar coverings, or
under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic areas where it will not be tripped
over.
16. This fan employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit
situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the fan from the outlet. Replace the fuse (see instructions next
page) and check the fan. If the replacement fuse blows, a short circuit may be present and you
should contact customer service for instructions.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not use the fan with any
solid–state speed control device.
THIS APPLIANCE HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (ONE PIN IS WIDER THAN THE OTHER) TO
REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK. THIS PLUG IS DESIGNED TO FIT IN A
POLARIZED OUTLET ONLY ONE WAY. IF THE PLUG DOES NOT FIT FULLY INTO THE OUTLET,

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
ELECTRIC POWER
If electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliances may not operate properly.
The fan should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other operating appliances.
SAFETY WARNING
Although your appliance is easy to operate, for your safety the warnings below must be followed:
1. Do not place the fan near a heat source.
2. Use the fan on a stable surface.
3. Do not unplug by pulling on the supply cord.
4. The fan must be unplugged:
A. Before any cleaning or maintenance.
B. If it appears to be faulty.
TO REPLACE FUSE:
1. Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device. CAUTION: Do not unplug
by pulling on the power cord.
2. Open the fuse compartment cover on top of the plug by sliding it towards the prongs.
3. Using a small flat head screwdriver, carefully remove the fuse by prying it up from the end
closest to the cord.
4. Replace the fuse with a 2.5amp, 125-volt fuse (not included).
5. Close the fuse compartment cover by sliding it away from the prongs.
6. WARNING: Risk of fire. Do not replace the plug as it contains a safety device (fuse) that
should not be removed. Contact customer service if the plug is damaged.

USER INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the fan on a level and dry surface. Push the lower button (0) OFF. Plug the power
cord into a polarized 120V AC wall outlet.
2. Adjust the angle of the fan to the desired air output direction.
3. Choose oscillation if desired.
4. Select the desired speed.
5. To move the fan, turn the fan to (0) OFF and use the carrying handle on the back of the
fan motor housing.
6. NEVER leave the fan unattended while operating.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. When performing any cleaning or maintenance to this unit, be sure to unplug from
power outlet first.
2. Wipe the outer surface of the pedestal fan with a warm damp cloth and dry with a soft
cloth.
3. Do not use any harsh chemicals or abrasive cleansers to clean the fan.
4. Do not immerse the fan motor in water or any other liquid.

Coloque la cubierta de la base sobre la base de plástico rígido e inserte el extremo inferior
del tubo extensible dentro del hoyo de la base. (Vea la foto a continuación)
Con cuidado, incline la base y el tubo extensible hacia un lado y atornille bien la tuerca de
mariposa negra (que encontrará en la bolsa de plástico) en la parte inferior de la base.
Vuelva a colocar la base sobre el piso y afloje el remate blanco que se encuentra en el
extremo superior del tubo extensible y jale el tubo de cromo interno hacia arriba. Ajuste el
remate blanco para fijar el tubo de cromo interior.
Tome el soporte del motor y observe el extremo inferior. Ahí encontrará un tornillo que es
posible que requiera aflojarse, pero que no deberá quitarse. (Vea la foto)
Deslice el soporte del motor dentro del tubo extensible y apriete el tornillo del soporte del
motor para asegurarlo bien.
Desatornille y retire la tuerca de plástico blanca. Coloque la rejilla trasera dentro del eje,
asegurándose que se alinee con los pasadores. (El asa en la parte trasera de la rejilla
deberá quedar hacia arriba). Vuelva a colocar y apretar la tuerca de plástico blanca
Retire y deseche la cubierta de plástico negra del eje. Coloque las aspas en el eje,
asegurándose que las aspas queden bien aseguradas con los pasadores. Coloque la perilla
del ventilador blanca (que encontrará en una bolsa de plástico) dentro del eje. La perilla
del ventilador blanca se debe enroscar hacia atrás, en sentido contrario a las
manecillas del reloj (o hacia la izquierda) para que quede bien ajustada.

Con el ventilador en posición vertical, afloje el tornillo del aro para rejillas, pero no lo quite.
Coloque el tornillo del final del aro en extremo inferior de la rejilla trasera y con cuidado
manipule el aro para introducirlo en el borde de la rejilla trasera mientras va ascendiendo por los
lados del borde.
Comenzando desde abajo, inserte poco a poco y a presión la rejilla delantera dentro del aro, y
vaya ascendiendo por los bordes del aro hasta que quede bien puesta.
Apriete el tornillo del aro para rejillas con un destornillador de cabeza Phillips hasta que haya un
espacio de aproximadamente ¼ de pulgada (0.64 cm) o más, entre los 2 extremos del aro para
rejillas. NO INTENTE CERRAR ESE ESPACIO.
Para ajustar la altura del tubo extensible, desatornille un poco el remate blanco hasta que pueda
deslizar hacia arriba y hacia abajo el tubo de cromo interno. Ajuste el tubo a la altura deseada y
vuelva a ajustar bien el remate. NO cuelgue el ventilador ni le coloque nada encima.
Para ajustar la inclinación del cabezal del ventilador, desatornille un poco la perilla de inclinación
del cabezal y suavemente empuje hacia atrás o jale hacia adelante el cabezal del ventilador hasta
obtener el ángulo correcto para sus propósitos. Ajuste bien la perilla de inclinación del cabezal.
Para accionar la función de oscilación, presione la perilla de oscilación hacia abajo. Para detener la
función de oscilación, jale la perilla de oscilación hacia arriba. Para mover el ventilador, use el asa
que se encuentra en la parte de atrás del soporte del motor.
Para controlar la velocidad del ventilador, use los botones de control que están en la parte de
adelante del soporte del motor. (0) es APAGADO, (1) es BAJA, (2) es MEDIA, y (3) es
ALTA.

POR FAVOR LEA Y GUARDE TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES ANTES DE USAR EL
VENTILADOR DE PEDESTAL.
Al usar aparatos eléctricos, siempre deben seguirse precauciones básicas de seguridad, incluyendo
las que aparecen a continuación.
1. Siempre apague el ventilador antes de quitar el enchufe de la toma de corriente eléctrica.
2. Siempre apague el ventilador y desconéctelo antes de limpiarlo.
3. Para protegerse de peligros eléctricos, no coloque el ventilador en el agua, ni en otros
líquidos.
4. No conecte el ventilador al suministro de alimentación eléctrica hasta que el ventilador esté
TOTALMENTE ensamblado.
5. No deje desatendido el ventilador cuando esté enchufado. Apague el ventilador cuando no lo
vaya a usar por periodos prolongados de tiempo.
6. Use el ventilador únicamente para lo que fue diseñado, según lo descrito en este manual de
instrucciones.
7. No opere ningún electrodoméstico si el cable de alimentación o el enchufe están dañados, o
después de que haya habido algún mal funcionamiento, o si se ha caído o dañado de alguna
forma. Siempre siga las instrucciones de seguridad.
8. Coloque el ventilador sobre una superficie seca, plana y bien nivelada para evitar que se
caiga.
9. Evite hacer contacto con los componentes en movimiento.
10. Nunca inserte, ni deje caer ningún objeto por ningún orificio. No inserte ningún objeto dentro
del área protegida por las rejillas de alambre. No rocíe ningún tipo de aerosol dentro del
ventilador.
11. No obstruya el flujo de aire.
12. No opere el ventilador sin las rejillas protectoras.
13. Es necesario supervisar de cerca este o cualquier otro electrodoméstico, cuando se utilice
cerca de donde haya niños.
14. Para mantener la eficiencia operativa, no opere el ventilador veinticuatro horas al día, siete
días a la semana.
15. No coloque el cable de alimentación debajo de alfombras, ni lo cubra con tapetes, alfombras
de pasillo o cubiertas similares, ni debajo de muebles o electrodomésticos. Acomode el cable
de alimentación alejado de las áreas de paso más transitadas donde no pueda dar lugar a
tropiezos.
16. Este ventilador cuenta con un sistema de protección de sobrecarga (fusible). Un fusible
fundido indica que hay una situación de sobrecarga o corto circuito. Si el fusible está fundido,
desconecte el ventilador de la toma de corriente eléctrica. Reemplace el fusible (vea las
instrucciones en la siguiente página) y revise el ventilador. Si el fusible de repuesto se funde,
es posible que exista un corto circuito y usted deberá contactar al centro de servicio al cliente
para que le den instrucciones.
ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de un incendio o de una descarga eléctrica, no use este
ventilador con ningún aparato de control de velocidades de estado sólido.

ADVERTENCIA DE SEGURIDAD

2. Use el ventilador sobre una superficie estable.

B. Si parece estar defectuoso.
PARA REEMPLAZAR EL FUSIBLE:
1. Sujete el enchufe y desconéctelo del receptáculo o de cualquier otro dispositivo de salida de
corriente. PRECAUCIÓN: No desconecte jalando el cable de alimentación.
2. Abra la tapa del compartimiento del fusible que se encuentra en la parte superior del enchufe.
3. Utilice un destornillador de punta plana y con cuidado levante el fusible del extremo que está cerca
del cable.
4. Reemplace el fusible por un fusible de 125 voltios y 2.5 amp (no incluido).
5. Cierre la tapa del compartimento del fusible, deslizándola en dirección opuesta a las clavijas.
6. ADVERTENCIA: Riesgo de incendio. No reemplace el enchufe ya que cuenta con un mecanismo de
seguridad (fusible) que no deberá eliminarse. Comuníquese con el centro de servicio al cliente si el
enchufe está dañado.

MODO DE EMPLEO
1. Coloque el ventilador sobre una superficie bien nivelada y seca. Presione el botón inferior
(0) APAGADO. Conecte el cable de alimentación eléctrica en un tomacorriente de pared
polarizado de 120V de corriente alterna (AC).
2. Ajuste el ángulo del ventilador para que la salida de aire apunte en la dirección deseada.
3. Si gusta, seleccione la función de oscilación.
4. Seleccione la velocidad deseada
5. Para mover el ventilador, gire el ventilador a (0) APAGADO y use el asa de traslado que
está en la parte de atrás del soporte del motor.
6. NUNCA deje el ventilador desatendido mientras esté funcionando.
LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO
1. Cuando lleve a cabo la labor de limpieza o de mantenimiento de esta unidad, primero
asegúrese de desconectarla de la toma de corriente eléctrica.
2. Con un trapo humedecido en agua tibia, limpie la superficie externa del ventilador de
pedestal y séquelo con un trapo suave.
3. No utilice limpiadores abrasivos o productos químicos irritantes para limpiar el ventilador.
4. No sumerja el motor del ventilador en agua, ni en ningún otro líquido.
