Use and Storage of the User Manual
Inside this user manual you will nd informaon on how to use and maintain your Fan Heater
properly, including but not limited to, safety instrucons and precauons, use instrucons,
and warranty condions. Please store this user manual in an easily-accessible locaon for
future reference.
Intended Use
Your Fan Heater has been designed as a home environment heang appliance as described in
this user manual. Do not use this appliance for any other purpose. This product is intended
for household use only.

Before using the Fan Heater be sure to read and understand all of the safety precauons. Failure to
follow all instrucons described in this user manual may result in electric shock, re and/or serious
personal injury. The warnings, cauons and instrucons discussed in this user manual cannot cover
all possible condions and situaons that may occur. It must be understood by the user that common
sense and cauon are aributes which cannot be built into the appliance, but must be supplied by the
user.
Electric Power
If an electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, the Fan Heater may not operate properly. The
Fan Heater should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other operang appliances.
Polarized Plug
The Fan Heater has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to t into a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully into the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it sll does not t, contact a qualied electrician. DO
NOT aempt to modify the plug in any way. If the plug ts loosely into
the AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm, DO NOT use that outlet.
An extension cord is not recommended for use with this product.

Important Safety Instrucons
When using any electric appliance, some basic safety precauons should always be followed
to reduce the risk of re, electric shock and/or any injury to people, including the following:
1. Read all instrucons before using the heater.
2. The heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, DO NOT let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
Use the handle when moving the heater. Keep combusble materials, such as furniture,
pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the heater.
3. Use extreme cauon when the heater is used near children, pets or the disabled. NEVER
leave the heater unaended during operaon.
4. Use the heater only in dry environments. The heater is not intended for use in
bathrooms, laundry areas or other indoor areas in close proximity to water. DO NOT use
your heater outdoors. DO NOT use near bathtubs, sinks, swimming pools, or any place
where the heater could come in contact with water.
5. The heater has hot and sparking parts inside. DO NOT use it in areas where gasoline,
paint, or ammable liquids are used or stored.
6. To disconnect the heater, rst turn the heater OFF, then remove the plug from the
outlet.
7. ALWAYS unplug the heater by removing the plug end from the outlet. NEVER unplug it
by pulling on the cord as this can damage the power cord.
8. DO NOT operate the heater with a damaged cord or plug. DO NOT operate the heater
aer it malfuncons or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
9. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and result
in re.
10. DO NOT run the cord under carpeng. DO NOT cover the cord with throw rugs, runners,
or similar coverings. Arrange the cord away from trac areas where it cannot be tripped
over.
11. It is normal for the plug to feel warm to the touch. However a loose t between the AC
outlet (receptacle) and the plug may cause overheang. Contact a qualied electrician
to replace a loose or worn outlet.
12. DO NOT insert or allow foreign objects to enter any venlaon or exhaust opening as
this may result in electric shock, re, or damage to the heater.
13. To prevent a possible re, DO NOT block air intakes or exhaust opening in any manner.
DO NOT use on so surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked. ALWAYS
use the heater on a at, level surface.
14. DO NOT operate the heater with safety guards removed.
15. Use the heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturer may result in re, electric shock, or injury.
16. The heater draws 12.5 amps during operaon. To prevent overloading a circuit, DO NOT
plug the heater into a circuit that already has other appliances working.
17. The output of the heater may vary and its temperature may become intense enough
to burn exposed skin. Use of the heater is not recommended for people with reduced
sensivity to heat or an inability to react in order to avoid burns.
18. Not intended to be hung.

Safety Warnings
• The power indicator light will be lit when the Fan Control is turned to " ", "Lo" or "Hi" mode.
• The heater is equipped with an "Automac Overheat Safety Device" that will turn o the
power to the heang element should the internal temperature of the heater exceed normal
levels. If this should happen the heang element will turn o, but the fan will connue to run
to help cool the heater. Should this condion occur, immediately remove any obstrucons
and set the heater on a level surface. When the temperature returns to normal levels power
to the heang element will be restored and the heater should funcon normally.

Before Use
1. Carefully remove your heater from the box. (Save the box for o-season storage).
2. Make sure the heater is switched to "O" before plugging the heater into the outlet.
Connect to properly grounded outlets only.
3. Place the heater on a rm level surface, free from obstrucons and at least 3 feet (0.9
m) away from any wall or other objects such as curtains, plants, etc. If the p-over safety
switch is not pushed in, the heater will not operate.
4. Avoid overloading your circuit by not using other high waage appliances in the same
outlet.

Control Panel
1. Power Indicator Light: Will be lit when the unit is powered on in "Fan Only: ", "Lo", or “Hi"
mode.
2. Thermostat Control: Use to increase or decrease desired temperature.
3. Fan Control: Use to select between "O", "Fan Only: ", "Lo" and "Hi" heat modes.
Operaon
1. Ensure the heater is plugged into a 110~120 Volt grounded AC wall outlet. Be sure the plug
ts ghtly. A loose t will cause overheang and damage the plug. The plug and cord may feel
warm during normal usage. Do not use extension cords.
2. Fan Seng: Choose "O ", "Fan Only: ", "Lo" or "Hi". Use the "Hi" seng to warm the room
quickly. Aer you have achieved your comfort level, you may want to switch to the "Lo"
seng to conserve electricity.
Use the heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturer may result in re, electric shock or injury.

Care and Cleaning
Cleaning
Dust, dirt, etc. can diminish your heater's performance, can lead to unwanted odors and can
also be a safety hazard. For best performance, clean your heater at least once per season.
NOTE: ALWAYS turn the heater OFF and unplug it before cleaning.
• Turn the heater OFF, unplug it, and wait for it to cool down.
• Use a dry cloth to clean only the external surfaces of the heater.
• A vacuum with a so brush may be used to clean the heater.
Maintenance and Storage
• Unplug the unit and let it cool completely.
• Wrap and e the cord to protect it from damage.
• Repack the heater in its original carton or suitable container.
• Store heater in a cool and dry locaon with the power cord properly secured.
NEVER aempt to open or service the heater yourself. Doing so may result in damage or
personal injury.

If your heater fails to operate, please do the following:
• Review these instrucons to ensure you understand the basic operaons and features of
your heater.
• Check for obstrucons. Unplug the heater for 30 minutes, clear any obstrucons and
restart the heater.
• Check that the fan heater is on a at and level surface and that the p-over safety switch is
pushed in.
NOTE: DO NOT expect the heang coils to glow. An orange nt may be noceable on the heang
element away from the main air ow.
NEVER aempt to open or service the heater yourself. Doing so may result in damage or
personal injury.

Uso indicado
Su caloventor está diseñado como un aparato de calefacción para ambientes doméscos
como se describe en este manual. No use este aparato con ningún otro propósito. Este pro-
ducto está diseñado solamente para uso domésco.

Antes de usar el caloventor asegúrese de leer con atención todas las advertencias de seguridad. Si no
se siguen las instrucciones descritas en este manual del usuario se pueden producir choques eléctricos,
incendios y/o lesiones graves. Las advertencias, precauciones e instrucciones detalladas en este manual
del usuario no cubren todas las condiciones y situaciones posibles que podrían suceder. El usuario debe
entender que el sendo común y la precaución son atributos que no se pueden incluir en el aparato,

Alimentación eléctrica
Si se sobrecarga un circuito eléctrico con otros aparatos, es posible que el caloventor no funcione
correctamente. El caloventor se debe ulizar en un circuito eléctrico
diferente al de otros aparatos en funcionamiento.
Enchufe polarizado
El caloventor posee un enchufe polarizado (una clavija es más ancha
que la otra). Para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, este enchufe
entra en el tomacorriente polarizado en un solo sendo. Si el enchufe no
entra completamente en el tomacorriente, gire el enchufe. Si aun así no
encaja, contacte a un técnico electricista calicado. NO intente alterar la clavija de forma alguna. Si la
clavija queda suelta dentro del tomacorriente de CA o si este se calienta, NO use ese tomacorriente.
No se recomienda usar un cable de extensión con este producto.

Instrucciones importantes de seguridad
Al ulizar cualquier aparato eléctrico, se deben seguir siempre ciertas precauciones de segu-
ridad para reducir el riesgo de incendio o descarga eléctrica y/o lesiones a personas, incluidas
las siguientes:
1. Lea todas las instrucciones antes de usar el caloventor.
2. El caloventor se calienta cuando se lo usa. Para evitar quemaduras, NO toque
directamente las supercies calientes. Use el mango para mover el caloventor.
Mantenga los materiales combusbles, como muebles, almohadas, sábanas, papeles,
cornas y ropa al menos a 3 pies (0.9 m) del caloventor.
3. Tenga extrema precaución cuando se usa el caloventor cerca de niños, mascotas o
personas discapacitadas. NUNCA deje el caloventor desatendido cuando está en
funcionamiento.
4. Use el caloventor solo en ambientes secos. El caloventor no está diseñado para usar
en baños, áreas de lavandería u otras áreas interiores en estrecha proximidad al agua.
NO use el caloventor en exteriores. NO usar cerca de bañeras, fregaderos, piscinas o
cualquier lugar donde el caloventor pueda mojarse.
5. El caloventor ene piezas calientes y que generan chispas en su interior. NO lo use en
áreas donde se uliza o almacena gasolina, pintura o líquidos inamables.
6. Para desconectar el caloventor, primero apáguelo (poner en OFF) y luego desconéctelo
del tomacorriente.
7. SIEMPRE desconecte el caloventor jalando el extremo del enchufe del tomacorriente.
NUNCA lo desconecte jalando del cable ya que podría dañar el cable de alimentación
eléctrica.
8. NO haga funcionar el caloventor con un cable o enchufe dañado. NO haga funcionar el
caloventor después de que se haya averiado o de que se haya caído o dañado de alguna
forma.
9. Evite el uso de un cable de extensión ya que este podría sobrecalentarse y provocar un
incendio.
10. NO enda el cable por debajo de las alfombras. NO cubra el cable con tapetes,
alfombras o cubiertas similares. Coloque el cable lejos del área de tráco donde no
pueda provocar tropezones.
11. Es normal que el enchufe se sienta caliente al tacto. Sin embargo, una conexión
oja entre el tomacorriente de CA (receptáculo) y el enchufe puede provocar
sobrecalentamiento. Comuníquese con un técnico electricista para reemplazar un
tomacorriente suelto o desgastado.
12. NO inserte ni permita que ingresen objetos extraños a las aberturas de salida o
venlación ya que podría provocar una descarga eléctrica, un incendio o dañar el
caloventor.
13. Para evitar un posible incendio, NO bloquee las aberturas de entrada o salida de aire de
ninguna forma. NO usar sobre supercies suaves como una cama donde las aberturas
podrían quedar bloqueadas. SIEMPRE use el caloventor sobre una supercie plana y
nivelada.
14. NO haga funcionar el caloventor sin los disposivos de seguridad.
15. Ulizar solamente como se describe en este manual. Cualquier uso no recomendado por
el fabricante puede provocar incendios, descargas eléctricas o lesiones.
16. El caloventor consume 12.5 amperios durante el funcionamiento. Para evitar
sobrecargar los circuitos, NO conecte el caloventor a un circuito que ya tenga otros
aparatos en funcionamiento.
17. La fuerza de salida del caloventor podría variar y la temperatura podría subir lo
suciente para quemar la piel. No se recomienda el uso del caloventor con personas
que tengan sensibilidad reducida al calor o incapacidad de reaccionar para evitar
quemaduras.
18. No está diseñado para colgarse.

Advertencias de seguridad
• La luz indicadora de alimentación se encenderá cuando el Control del venlador se coloque
en los modos “ ”, “Lo” o “Hi”.
• El caloventor posee un “disposivo de seguridad automáco contra sobrecalentamiento”
que interrumpirá la alimentación del elemento de calefacción si la temperatura interna del
caloventor excede los niveles normales. Si esto sucede el elemento de calefacción se apagará
pero el venlador seguirá encendido para ayudar a enfriar el caloventor. Si esto sucede, quite
de inmediato todas las obstrucciones y coloque el caloventor sobre una supercie nivelada.
Cuando la temperatura regrese a los niveles normales, se restaurará el paso de energía y el
caloventor debería funcionar normalmente.

1. Quite con cuidado el caloventor de la caja. Guarde la caja para guardarlo fuera de
temporada.
2. Asegúrese de que el caloventor esté apagado (en la posición "OFF") antes de conectarlo al
tomacorriente. Conéctelo solo a tomacorriente con conexión a erra.
3. Coloque el caloventor sobre una supercie nivelada y rme, libre de obstrucciones y
al menos a 3 pies (0.9 m) de cualquier pared u otros objetos como cornas, plantas,
etc. Si no está acvado el interruptor de seguridad para inclinaciones, el caloventor no
funcionará.
4. No use otros aparatos de alto vataje en el mismo tomacorriente para no sobrecargar el
circuito.

1. Luz indicadora de alimentación: Se encenderá cuando la unidad esté en los modos
"Venlador solamente: ”, "Lo" (Bajo) o "High" (Alto).
2. Control del termostato: Se usa para aumentar o disminuir la temperatura deseada.
3. Control del venlador: Se usa para seleccionar entre los modos de calor “O" (Apagado),
“Solo venlador: ”, “Low” (Bajo) y “High” (Alto).
Funcionamiento
1. Asegúrese de que el caloventor esté conectado a un tomacorriente de 110~120 V de CA
con conexión a erra. Verique que quede bien ajustado. Si queda suelto, el enchufe se
sobrecalentará y dañará. El enchufe y el cable podrían calentarse durante el uso normal. No
ulizar cables de extensión.
2. Ajuste del venlador: Seleccione “O” (Apagado), “Solo venlador: ”, “Low” (Bajo) y “High”
(Alto). Use el ajuste “Hi” (Alto) para calentar la habitación rápidamente. Una vez alcanzado el
nivel de calor deseado, quizá quiera pasar al ajuste “Lo” (Bajo) para ahorrar electricidad.
Ulizar solamente como se describe en este manual. Cualquier uso no recomendado por el
fabricante puede provocar incendios, descargas eléctricas o lesiones.
